I stated that the tactic prevented us from conceding a lot with all those rubbish players. There's no way we could look good with those rubbish players BTW.

And that was why I used the Bournemouth game as an example. We had roughly the same players that played under Van gaal in that game for example but then, we looked shite in every department whether going forward or in the middle. Fortunately, Bournemouth had a shite defence that made a lot of mistake to gift us goals.

Don't forget Bailley was our man of the match. We were quite open through the middle and still looked shite going forward as well.

Van Gaal tactic at least made us compact through the middle because he knows the players weren't good enough. That's why I would say it wasn't the tactic but the shite players because regardless of the tactic, they all looked shite going forward, especially through the middle as seen in the Bournemouth game.

I think the right sentence should be "made us unproductive and boring ".

We were quite opened in the middle with our GK being frequently bombarded with kill shots almost in all our matches under Van Gaal!

We can keep going on and on with this, the major fault will still be on LVG and his tactics!!! (It didn't just work).

Look for example, the Bournemouth match where they dominated us in the middle while our team looked shite. Fortunately, their defence was rubbish as well as their attack and we had Ibra magic. A better team would have spanked us so well.

The truth of the matter is it was the players who made us look boring and that was my main criticism of Van gaal of his failure to bring in the necessary signing in the midfield instead of depending on a crock like Bastian.

What is always annoying is when peeps say Van gaal used his philosophy to 'van gaal' one player or the other when the players were simply not good enough.

For example, when Rashford displaced Rooney in the striker role, the team looked great for a while. And when Carrick looked rested, inform and reinvigorated, the team looked fantastic.
It was the player that caused the boring play and not any tactic.
