afrodoc2: Now you see why he has been crossing the ball from 40 yards out on the left flank rather than taking the opposition full back on. He does not have the acceleration he had pre-injury. At least not yet. Even the confidence is lacking, traumatic. Hoping he picks up this season, so unlike him. |

GloryIsaac: True, he is right.
Manchester City should have decided that they don’t need Messi.
After all, they have KDB, Aguero, Sterling, Mahrez, Bernardo Silva etc. and a two-time UCL-winning great tactician, Pep Guardiola.
So who needs a big-name signing to succeed, when you already have such combination? People like to deceive themselves |

GloryIsaac: Abi
The thing is, I expect these guys to go on some 15-match juggernaut run initially, but what happens after that?
The cracks begin to show again.
If Ole leaves today, the next manager will still make the same demands. It’s common sense.
Ancelotti managed Everton’s midfield till season end, and has immediately gone to replace all of them before the new season.
So if Van Der Sar did not decide to give to United out of love, this club won’t have signed any player by now The bolded is the main reason I want us to bring in new better players... |

GloryIsaac: Messi threatened to leave Barcelona, and Manchester City were already up in negotiations to bring him to their club.
This is a club that’s already set and oiled perfectly. Still trying to steal one of the best players in the world from Spain.
But here, we’re taking finance management classes, and teaching our coach new formations
Big club indeed. History United. Na here we dey.... Make them sack Ole and employ that their manager wey go win the league with this squad. Dreamers!!! |

The market is really different for highly rated talents. You think any club will sell a Mason Greenwood with just about a year pro footie for anything less than 70m today? |

timay: To be fair, that shitty business from Madrid.
Well, a lot of the clubs buying the so called "talented players with prospects" for outrageous amount of money go soon learn. In 2-3 years time when most of them don't become world beaters and turn out to be Andreas Pereira kind of average, they will be begging the likes of Eibar and Burnley to pay them any amount, so that they can offload them
It seems most of these big clubs are doing some kind of "talents race", to discover the next Ronaldo or Messi. So all of them are just buying every young one season wonder player in the market for outrageous amount. Kindly explain how . (At the bolded) |

afrodoc2: Rodrygo would be almost as expensive as Sancho, if not more sef. Madrid bought him as a relatively unknown 18yr old from South America for 45m Euro and view him as one of their future stars.
How much do you think United would sell Greenwood now if another club came calling? That is the amount Madrid will ask for Rodrygo. I failed to highlight this sef If it was United we will be hearing chants of "who buys an unknown youth for 45m, what experience does he have? There are better experienced players for that amount"
