PoliticsRe: Bishop Oyedepo Urges Church Members To Obtain Voter Cards And Vote Wisely (Video by Elsanchez: 10:53am On Jul 16
My guy keep collecting you monthly allowance from your pay masters

but please say the truth as it is.

Did the drug peddler not know the economy was dwilling under his predecessor whom he helped put there

or was he justed interested in being called the president and came in with no clear plans to take hunger out of Nigerians

He came out made a promise to fix electricity or Nigerians should vote him out, 4 years later we are even worse

The clown had the effrontery to go install solar panels in his residence, while subtly telling Nigerians to disregard that promise.

How can you campaign for someone that has failed woefully. where is your conscience?

CharlesCNG:
Your message is clear.

My answer is equally clear.

No, I will not deliver that message because I do not believe President Tinubu is the cause of Nigeria's economic illness. I believe he inherited an economy weakened by years of fuel subsidy, multiple exchange rates, mounting fiscal pressures and structural distortions, and chose to begin difficult reforms instead of postponing them again.

The reforms have been painful. Nobody denies that.

But pain alone is not proof that the treatment is wrong.

I support the continuation of these reforms because I can already see signs of progress: stronger government revenues, higher allocations to states, improved foreign reserves, increased oil production, expansion of CNG, renewed investor confidence, ongoing infrastructure investment and a more transparent foreign exchange regime.

Most importantly, I have yet to hear a credible alternative.

Peter Obi says he will "do things differently," but differently how?

Will he restore fuel subsidy?

Will he return to multiple exchange rates?

Will he reverse the tax reforms?

Will he stop the CNG transition?

Will he abandon the current infrastructure programme?

Those are the questions that matter.

I don't support Tinubu because I think everything is perfect.

I support him because I believe the reforms should be allowed to mature, and because I have not yet seen an opposition blueprint that offers a more credible path forward.

That is promotion based on conviction—not blind defence.

You keep mentionng P Obi and I wonder why?

Why he keeps you and your fellow drug peddler up all night

To be clear, I don't believe elections can be fair in Nigeria.

All I am saying is pastors should be able to tell Tinubu that the only success he has recorded is in making Nigerians poorer and eliminating the middle class in Nigeria.

Tell him to pacck and go. .... not sitting on the fence asking Nigerians to pray for God's intervention.

I hope I have made my message clearer.

CharlesCNG:
You are still missing the point.

Nobody said pastors should not speak truth to power.
I could not have said that, because the Bible itself demands it. Proverbs 31:8-9 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves… defend the rights of the poor and needy.” Isaiah 1:17 says, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.”

So yes, pastors must speak for justice. They must rebuke wickedness. They must defend the poor. They must challenge oppression.

But that is not the same thing as turning the pulpit into a campaign rostrum for Peter Obi.

The problem begins when a pastor moves from biblical justice to partisan endorsement , then tries to dress his political preference in prophetic clothing.

When you say some pastors are “standing on the fence” because they don’t want to offend benefactors, you are assuming that God has explicitly revealed to Enenche and his fellow travellers who the clean politician is and who the corrupt one is. That is a dangerous assumption.

If a pastor is drawing that conclusion from his own political analysis, then he should say so as a citizen. He should not smuggle it into the pulpit as if heaven has endorsed his candidate.

After all, the Pharisees also accused our Lord Jesus of associating with publicans and sinners. They thought they knew who was clean and who was unclean. They judged by their own religious bias and called it righteousness.

That is exactly the danger here.

A man of God on the pulpit can boldly say: thus saith the Lord.

But when he says, “this candidate is the way to go,” without divine instruction, that is not prophecy.

That is carnality with microphone.

So let pastors preach justice, righteousness, mercy, honesty, compassion and accountability.

But let them stop pretending that their preferred candidate is God’s candidate simply because their political emotions are loud.
PoliticsRe: Bishop Oyedepo Urges Church Members To Obtain Voter Cards And Vote Wisely (Video by Elsanchez: 4:04pm On Jul 13
To answer your question; Pastors and other religious leaders should stay far from political campaigns

They have a moral duty to speak truth to power and advocate for justice

however, most of them cannot do that because they have soiled their hands with donations and money from from corrupt politicians

so what they do is stand on the fence in other not to offend their benefactor.

CharlesCNG:
My friend, thank you for proving my point yet again.

You began with "I never mentioned the name of any politician," yet the very next paragraph is about Tinubu.

So who is really obsessed?

You also called me a clown and suggested I donate my brain to science.

Unfortunately, neither insult answers my argument.

My point was simple:

If you condemn pastors for using the pulpit to campaign, then condemn all pastors who do it—not only those whose politics you dislike.

That is called consistency.

But that still does not answer the question before you.

Was it right for pastors to use the pulpit to canvass support for any presidential candidate?

Yes or No?

Notice how you have carefully avoided that question.

So I'll ask once more:

Should the pulpit be a place for partisan political campaigning, regardless of who the candidate is?

That is the issue.

Everything else is deflection.
PoliticsRe: Bishop Oyedepo Urges Church Members To Obtain Voter Cards And Vote Wisely (Video by Elsanchez: 11:45am On Jul 13
I never mentioned the name of any Politician but I can see Peter Obi is a threat to you lots.

At this point, if you can't see that this current regime is a failure, then I suggest you donate your brain to the furthering of science.

According to you; The pulpit should guide conscience, not become in any candidate's campaign stage.

You clowns should have advised the drug peddler when he rented fake bishops to paticipate in his campaign during the last elections.

Not that I care about the rubbish these so called 'God of men' have to say, at least if they come out plain, they will save their gullible members the time used in praying for a 'God sent candidate'

CharlesCNG:
I agree with you — let every pastor come out plainly then.

Like Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, who openly went spiritual-political before the 2023 elections , and spoke as if heaven had sent election memo. The rest is history to the eternal shame of any so called man of God who spoke when the lord has not spoken.

This Precisely is the hypocrisy of you lying bloody Obidients: if a pastor mounts the pulpit and says anything that sounds favourable to Tinubu, immediately he becomes “paid pastor,” “APC bishop,” “false prophet,” “stomach infrastructure clergy.”

But if the same pulpit is used to market pity -party Peter Obi, suddenly it becomes “prophetic direction,” “moral courage,” “speaking truth to power,” and “vote wisely.”

You people don’t actually want pastors to stay out of politics. You only want pastors to campaign for plastic Peter.

If Oyedepo says “vote wisely,” you translate it to “vote Obi.”
If another pastor says Tinubu is the better option, you call him corrupt.
If a church member votes APC, you say he is blind.
If a church member votes Obi, you say he is spiritually awake.

That is not democracy. That is political Pentecostal remote control.

The pulpit should guide conscience, not become in any candidate's campaign stage.

And by the way, if you don’t believe Nigerian elections are free or credible, then why are you crying that Obi was not voted in? You cannot reject the system only when your candidate loses and quote democracy only when it favours you.

Ah yes, it will remain a fantasy to those whose conscience have long been sold.

However to most Nigerians, who feel the brunt of the hardship, anyone but the drug baron will do fine to occupy the sit.

Unfortunately, none of the candidates who lose the election most especially Peter Obi didn't claim the election was rigged when he went to PEPT.

That the outcome of the election votes was manipulated is just a fantasy statement as it's baseless with no facts or evidence to back it up

I don't vote because of events like the last elections where INEC was used to egregiously manipulate the outcome of the results.

For me we need a total overhaul and kicking out of the criminals and drug baron occupying the once exhaulted positions in the land, till then we will continue to wallow and fight each other for the lack of amenties.

If I am to tell you who to vote, I may as well mate your wife for you.
