Worldwide, employment is based on terms. It is not by force. China and Singapore were developing countries few decades ago. There were rules that censored all acts of economic sabotage even up to Religions which they considered act of economic sabotage which carried severe punishment even capital punishment.

PENGASSAN run and ruined Refineries and Pipelines and grounded Refineries and Depots.

DANGOTE took loans to build Refineries and has to pay back.
They way they ruined the following:
Chevron
Shell
Oando
Seplat
Mobil
Halliburton
Baker huges

See forget all this worker talk , this is all about the control of Nigerian downstream, in recent history the downstream is always controlled by who ever is President . Under Jonathan it was controlled using Diezani and her boys Kola Aluko, Igho Sanomi , Benedict Peters and. Co .. Under Buhari it was run by Rano Oil on his behalf , now its the turn of Tinubu boys and suddenly Dangote refinery is in place and it has the capacity to end importations ...these cabals have done everything possible to frustrate the running of that refinery:

First they :

1.NNPC refused to give approval from the refinery to commence work

2 they now claimed NNPC didn't have crude to give Dangote

3. They claimed Dangote fuel was high in Sulphur to discourage Nigerian.

When all these failed they started using compromised union members in the following ways

4: NUPENG secretly barred their trucks from going to there to lift fuel so Dangote had a glut so much Dangote had to partner with MRS to help them out before AP joined the train.

To counter them Dangote had to close eyes and spend 250 million dollars to buy his own trucks , immediately he did that a group called Dappman came and said for those trucks to supply stations Dangotes has to pay them 1.5 trillion Naira annually , we were still on that and then Pengassan was mobilized to force Dangote workers to join them all in a bid to have control ,Dangote fought and then agreed that workers that want to join can join .

The refinery Catalytic unit was sabotaged and is currently down , everyone in that unit was fired over it and then finally like we have long expected Pengassan has ordered it's members to turn off the gas , meaning Dangote can't produce for now ...Meanwhile the govt at same time has refused to honor the Naira for crude deal ..

See this whole thing is war for control
So that's what PENGASAN and NUPENG do in Chevron, Shell, TotalFinaElf, Seplat, Indorama, Halliburton, Sclumberger, Baker Huges, etc?

So the unions do not want Dangote to work, but they want the companies I mentioned above to function abi?

Stop disgracing yourself here.

If you have worked in Dangote refinery you won't say all these. Those who have worked there you support you in whatever way. Union can be a bad thing but unionism is also good to checkmate some things. It has both positive and negative effects. Dangote is taken advantage of Nigeria workers there and he is undermining them. We need strong unions in private sectors. Look at our Asians enslave Nigerians in many part of the country, people working under bad conditions with poor salary. If we have strong union some of those things won't happen. you see people being hired and fired without salary these are some of the wicked things you see in the private sector.

How can a Union hold the whole country to hostage

Until the government starts to lock people up for economic sabotage people will not have sense

People are suffering no light no water no fuel to pump water and what does pengassan do, they to stop people from sleeping at night

Why? So they can keep their cushy jobs and be bribed every day to let fuel flow

Where was pengassan when Dangote was building refinery for 20bn USD

People have suffered enough

The government needs to start locking people up for economic sabotage this is totally unacceptable

These actions can trigger massive job losses, exchange rate depreciation and GDP loss

Again no Union should hold the whole country to hostage it is pure evil

People are suffering too much
The unions are not holding any country hostage. They are not sabotaging anything. Do you know what unions do?

So to you, asking for workers' welfare is sabotaging the country?

And you see Nigerians supporting this with comments like; Sack them, sack everyone, run the marketers out of business, you are the employer and can do and undo, etc. C'mon at least if you guys won't be affected many livelihoods will be. The oil and gas industry is the biggest employer of labour in this country. Only filling stations have employed thousands of youths.

NUPENG and PENGASSAN have their own faults but they shouldn't be victimized by Nigerians because they want to protect the welfare of employees.

The Dangote refinery should do the right thing by adhering to rules and regulations guiding the oil industry!
Don't worry bros. Those vomiting those rubbish will have issues in their work place or be at the mercies of their employers and there will be no union to save them. They do not understand what unions in work place are.

When I was much younger, I used to believe everything is in my control and I can influence what I grow up to become.
Now I realised some things are beyond our control. Maybe it's the country, maybe it's the people themselves or maybe it's the opportunities that that are scarce, or maybe you have to beat the law to become successful.
I am starting to believe no one has ever become successful by following the laws of land.
It may not be easy for one to make it big in Nigeria if one lives holily and righteously, like not giving bribes, not slandering other people, telling lies, changing figures, stealing public and company funds, colluding with contractors and employees, etc. It will be only by GOD'S Grace and Mercies will one who lives to please GOD Almighty make it big in Nigeria.

That's why for the righteous, the believer, the Bible says:
Romans 1:17 HCSB
[17] For in it God’s righteousness is revealed from faith to faith, just as it is written: The righteous will live by faith.

John 15:5 NKJV
[5] “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Luke 1:37 NKJV
[37] For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Etc

The above DOES NOT mean that you will work hard, smart, improve yourself, seek opportunities, seek information, etc. You have to do so according to His own was: in righteousness and holiness.

Note:
I quoted the Bible verses up there in a context in line with what I wrote.

Very simple and straight forward. I wonder what is the fear of UK, France and others. They want to be politically correct. They want to escape the Islamic terrorism. Israel has come to stay. Arabs living in Israel in the name of Palestinians are free to cohabit peacefully.
And come to think of it what is the origin of these people who go by the name Palestinians? Old Egypt didn't have any neighbours called Palestinians. This is the same of Syria, Jordan and Lebanon . But this can't be said of Israel. The aforementioned countries have in ancient times till now have Israel as their neighbours.
Palestinians are offsprings of Arab pilgrims who visited the holy land and couldn't return. Some stayed behind as offering to the holy land. Having lost idea of where they come from they made Israel their homes.
Some of them as also those brought in by the evil Romans after the Jewish revolt of AD 70. That was when the renamed the land of Israel to Palestine.

Dem no know these people. That thing UK and co dey fear go reach them. Even for Nigeria. You fit dey kind and good to them. Once dey start their madness, na you go be the first target.

Senior Hamas official calls Oct. 7 massacre ‘golden opportunity’ for Palestinian state

Razi Hamad dismisses Gazans’ protests against the group and blames Israel and the US for Gaza’s suffering and refuses to watch clips of the terror group's atrocities during an interview with CNN

Lior Ben Ari | published: 07:15

About two weeks after surviving an Israeli assassination attempt in Doha, senior Hamas official Razi Hamad appeared again before cameras, telling CNN that the Oct. 7 massacre in Israel “created a golden opportunity for a Palestinian state.”

Hamad made the remarks Friday on the U.S. network’s news program, where he was presented with testimonies from Gazans who oppose Hamas rule. “I know the price is high, but we waited for this moment for 77 years,” he said. More than a month after the killings, Hamad continued to boast about the attack.

The Hamas official, who was targeted in Qatar during Israel’s Summit of Fire operation in Doha, had already reappeared publicly in an interview with Al Jazeera. He told CNN that his survival was “a miracle” and accused the United States of complicity. “It is as guilty of that intelligence as Israel,” he said. “The attack ensured that negotiations would stop abruptly. They are frozen. The U.S. failed and did not act in good faith, it cooperated with Israel. That is the problem with them, they cannot be neutral mediators.”

Hamad praised the international fallout following Oct. 7, saying the attack forced the world to focus on Gaza. “You know what the benefit of Oct. 7 is now? Look at the UN,” he said. “194 people opened their eyes and saw the horrors in Gaza and the cruelty of Israel. They condemned Israel. This is a golden opportunity to change history. I know people are suffering (in Gaza), but what is the alternative?”

His comments followed a video speech by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to the United Nations in which Abbas condemned the Oct. 7 massacre. They came before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to the body, in which Netanyahu displayed a pin with a barcode that linked to a website detailing Hamas atrocities.

During the CNN interview, Hamad refused to watch videos of demonstrations in Gaza showing protesters calling on Hamas to relinquish control of the territory and describing the group’s leaders as “out of touch with reality.” He dismissed the clips, saying, “I’ve already seen them.”

He also rejected accusations that Hamas was holding Israeli hostages as human shields in Gaza City. “There is no proof of that. We act according to the rules of Islam,” he claimed. Asked whether Hamas would allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit the hostages, he evaded the question, saying only that “the situation on the ground is complicated because of Israel.”

Hamad defended Hamas’ armed operations, calling them legitimate. “Our military wing is a legitimate lawful weapon. We are fighting the occupation. You cannot separate Hamas from Palestine. We have a positive role in its future. We will never surrender.”

The Hamas official recalled the moments of the strike in Doha that targeted him and other members of the group’s leadership. “We were in a meeting with the negotiating delegation and some advisers, and less than an hour after discussion began on the American proposal we had received, we heard huge explosions. We left immediately because we understood it was an Israeli strike. We survived despite the ferocity of the bombardment — about 12 missiles fell in less than a minute. By God’s grace we survived.”

In his earlier Al Jazeera interview, Hamad said that Hamas was not the only target of Israel’s actions but the wider Arab world. “We are not the only target — the whole nation is,” he said. “’Israel’ has no red lines. Netanyahu talks about changing the face of the Middle East.”

Hamad accused Washington of working in tandem with Jerusalem against Hamas. “Every time we communicate with the Americans, in one way or another, it becomes clear they do not honor their words and they change the conditions of their proposals in communication with the Israeli occupation. The Americans are partners in the continuing genocide. They presented the proposal, and when Hamas discussed it, Trump gave them permission to bomb the Hamas delegation in Qatar. Trump speaks for the Israelis and supports the killing of Palestinians.”
