ruggedtimi: when will you tell arabs from syria, lebanon and iraq to leave Palestine to their various lands. This battle of land belong to this/that is now stale. Israel has come to stay and the palestines arabs have to learn to live with the new Israel. Unless, of course, it's Jerusalem they’re after this conflict isn’t truly about the state of Palestine, but about one religion seeking control over the holy land. If not for what is written in th Holy Bible, muslims would have never considered the land of israel. Thank GOD for Jews. |

Today might be about bloodshed but we certainly a country called Palestine will come after. Freedom from the River to the sea.
Our hopes are built on the struggle of those before us. The South Africans, Indigenous Americans and Australians, the struggles of African nations from imperialism and the list is endless.
We are not shaken, scared or for anytime, lost hope cos we know a time of reckoning is guaranteed. When una dey do the killings, eh dey sweet una. Na only una lives matter. |

budaatum: Some claim they are Christians, but I tend to find most of them just hate Muslims, which, in my opinion, makes them not Christian at all, especially if they happen to be Nigerians who are supposed to love their neighbours, some who are likely to be Muslims.
But seriously, I think many of them assume Palestinians are like our bokoharam, or that all Muslims are terrorists or something, which makes them no different to the brain dead who think all Nigerians are Yahoos, except themselves of course. O believers! amazonguru001: Dangote has a monopolistic tendency. So he wants to monopolise the distribution channel of his product. Straight from his refinery to the end users. Which is not a bad thing in itself. To achieve this, he plans to import 4000 new CNG powered trucks. These CNG trucks will replace all his old AGO/PMS powered trucks. In addition to this, he wants to employ new drivers.
What that means is: Loss of job for the old drivers. Families once doing well will start doing badly economically as their means of income has been taken away.
On top of that, he is insisting that the new drivers must not join the PTD association nor the NUPENG.
This is where he stepped on the UNION.
You cant tell your employees not to join workers union. How on earth would they be able to fight for their right if their rights and welfare is trampled on just like he is doing to the old drivers.
This is exactly the reason why the Union exists to amplify their members voice and help face their employers without the members facing job loss or any form of victimization.
Danogite cant have it all. You win some , you lose some.
The Union is willing to compromise to allow him employ new drivers but he cant hinder them from joining workers/trade Union.
That's the point. Abeg no need explaining to peeps who do not know anything about unionism at work place. Dem think say Dangote's monet and connections will save him from NUPENG. |

Fibonacci88: Must the union be NUPENG. Are the workers complaining about the terms of employment? I have worked in private sector all my life and have not belong to any Union and all employers have treated me fairly. If I am no longer satisfied with the working conditions of a company I look for another. Unionism in Nigeria is just a guise by lazy workers to idle around in a company without consequences. Every private company which dangote is one should determine if they want their workers belonging to any Union or not. Bros, no dey yan wetin you no know of. This move by NUPENG can be likened to the last kick of a dying horse. They no longer have a say in the value chain of oil distribution he ce the agitation. If u like shut down all the fuel stations dangote will supply pms to Ghana and other west Africa countries. NUPENG can't continue to hold everyone hostage in the name of unions. How many Nigerians belong to any union are they not living their lives. Bros na initial gra gra. Dangote no go fit win the unions at all. He never reach. |

Explosions in the heart of Doha: IDF strikes senior Hamas leaders in Qatar in historic attack
IDF and Shin Bet announces a 'precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization'; Arab media reports that the negotiating delegation met to discuss Trump's proposal and then Israel attacked; Qatar's Foreign Ministry condemned what it called the 'cowardly Israeli attack' Reuters | updated:14:22 Several explosions were heard Tuesday afternoon in Doha, the Qatari capital, Reuters reported. Witnesses said smoke could be seen rising over the Katara district of the city. The IDF confirmed the strike, announcing a "precise strike targeting the senior leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization." Qatar has condemned the attack, calling it a violation of international law. The name of the operation targeting the Hamas leaders in Qatar is reported to be "Fire Summit." "For years, these members of the Hamas leadership have led the terrorist organization's operations, are directly responsible for the brutal October 7th massacre, and have been orchestrating and managing the war against the State of Israel," the IDF said. "Prior to the strike, measures were taken in order to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and additional intelligence." "The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to operate with determination in order to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7th massacre," the statement also said. Qatar's Foreign Ministry condemned what it called the "cowardly Israeli attack that targeted residential buildings housing several members of the Hamas political bureau in Doha, the capital of Qatar. This attack constitutes a violation of all international laws and norms and a serious threat to the safety and security of Qataris and residents of Qatar." An Israeli official said the U.S. was notified before the strike on Hamas leaders, Reuters reported, and President Donald Trump reportedly gave Israel a green light to carry out the strike. Meanwhile, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson called the Israeli attack "dangerous" and a "violation of international law." Before Israel claimed responsibility for the unusual action, the Iraqi network Sabrinews reported that the strike targeted a Hamas headquarters in Doha, while a source in Gaza said Hamas leaders were the intended targets. Arab media also reported that the senior figures were attacked as they gathered to discuss US President Donald Trump's proposal for a hostage deal The meeting was attended by senior Hamas figures Khalil al-Khayya, Khaled Mashaal, Muhammad Darwish, Razi Hamad, and Izzat al-Rishq. Shortly after the attack, Al-Arabiya reported that al-Khayya had been killed in the attack. Qatar, which has faced harsh criticism for its financial support of Hamas, also maintains close ties with the United States and has been serving as a mediator in negotiations for the release of hostages held by the militant group in Gaza. On Monday, reports said Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani pressed Hamas leaders “to respond positively” to the latest proposal from the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump. A source briefed on those talks, held in Doha between the mediator and Hamas representatives, said: “Qatar is pressuring Hamas to respond positively to the latest U.S. proposal, which was conveyed through mediators, and aims to secure a cease-fire agreement and the release of hostages.” Prior to the attack, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a long break from the hearing in his corruption trial in order to consult with his military secretary. Families of hostages from the Tikva Forum said in response to the attack that "we support the political echelon, the army and the Shin Bet for the significant attack on the capital of terror, Qatar. This attack should have happened a long time ago and it is very good that it was done. Only in this way will the State of Israel win and return all the hostages." https://www.ynetnews.com/article/hjmdvipcel#autoplay |
