“Out of concern for citizens’ safety,” the government “requests that the army and security forces immediately extend state control over the Beirut area and restrict the carrying of weapons there to legal forces only,” Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said. Only in Beruit? Una never serious. Call UN, France, UK, and Spain to help you disarm Hezbollah. If not una go dey collect from Jacob. |
The Lebanese government decided on Thursday to ban weapons held by non-state groups in Beirut, a day after deadly Israeli strikes on the capital. “Out of concern for citizens’ safety,” the government “requests that the army and security forces immediately extend state control over the Beirut area and restrict the carrying of weapons there to legal forces only,” Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said. The government also decided to “submit an urgent complaint to the United Nations Security Council regarding Wednesday’s escalation of Israeli attacks against Lebanon, particularly in Beirut, which resulted in a large number of civilian casualties,” Salam added. Ahead of the cabinet session held at Baabda Palace, President Joseph Aoun expressed frustration with mere statements of condemnation and underscored the need for any ceasefire—such as the one reached between the United States and Iran—to include Lebanon in order to enable effective negotiations. He insisted that only the Lebanese state should negotiate and that no third party should act on its behalf, emphasizing that the state has the legitimacy and means to defend its interests. Aoun also acknowledged the solidarity of ministries, security forces, international organizations, and partners in managing the consequences of Israeli strikes, particularly in healthcare, evacuations, rescue operations, and debris removal. Several rescue personnel were killed while carrying out their duties yesterday. Information Minister Paul Morcos reported an inconclusive toll of 203 dead, 33 missing, and 1,072 injured. He added that international diplomatic efforts are ongoing to secure a ceasefire. Morcos noted that the two ministers affiliated with Hezbollah opposed the government’s decision on making the capital weapons-free. Before the session, Aoun and Salam held consultations, and Prime Minister Salam met with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri to discuss next steps. The meeting began with a minute of silence for the victims of the Israeli strikes. The government also reaffirmed that Lebanon must not be used as a battleground or bargaining chip in international negotiations, pledging to continue efforts to protect the country and its citizens. https://thisisbeirut.com.lb/articles/1333379/lebanese-cabinet-issues-orders-to-remove-non-state-weapons-from-beirut |
Not ordinary balls. Na hardened steel balls encased in reinforced concrete steel. He would have dealt one mad man 1,600 years ago. |
HacheNoire:You are despicable to say the least. Why you guys against whoever condemns the evil carried out by Islamic terrorists in Nigeria or any part of the world? You support the killings and destructions done by Islamic terrorists. Eh go reach you. Eh go reach you. Tufiakwa Tunisia. |
blackgold2018:The ones islamic terrorists are killing under Tinibu's watch. |
fineboynl:The question any sane mind would ask is: What has been the benefit of the hatred muslims have israel? What has it profited them? The more they hate, the stronger israel gets. The more they hate, the more israel reclaim her lost lands and territories. Till date, not even one muslim has been able to tell us the benefits of the October 7th madness. What has "death to israel" benefited iran? What has "from river to the sea" benefited Palestinians? |
Iran used Russian missiles. Russia and China provided intelligence. Yet according to Islamic terrorists supporters here, na only Iran fight USA and Israel. Isorite ooooo |

israelmao:Una get time oooo. For your information, this is a get high thread by Islamic terrorists supporters. It is a coping mechanism, an escapist way of numbing frustration, trauma, and "sefia pains" of seeing Iran, Hezbollah, houthis, Islamic Jihad, and Hamas humbled by Israel. |
Anyone who believes this lie needs to reboot. This is raw lie from the very seat and heart of satan himself. |

He meant to say that Iran will not abandon Hezbollah and not Lebanese. If these terrorists care a bit for the average Lebanese, they won't be sponsoring Hezbollah to go and commit suicide in the hands of the IDF. |
Israel encircles Bint Jbeil after deadly strikes on Hezbollah, presses campaign with US backing IDF kills over 1,500 Hezbollah terrorists and surrounds key border town; Washington signals Israel can keep fighting despite Iran ceasefire demands Ron Ben-Yishai Ron Ben-Yishai | published: Yesterday | 23:51 After a surprise wave of heavy strikes launched Wednesday by the IDF against Hezbollah’s mid-level field commanders, the number of terrorists killed since the start of Operation Roaring Lion has surpassed 1,500, a senior security official said. But Israel is not stopping there. IDF forces are now encircling the town of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon. Troops, who began the operation overnight, caught dozens of Hezbollah terrorists who had taken refuge in the town by surprise. Some attempted to flee as Israeli forces closed in and were killed while escaping. Others remain barricaded inside, as IDF units move slowly and cautiously to locate them and clear the town of Hezbollah presence. The operation in Bint Jbeil carries strong symbolic weight. The Shiite Lebanese town, located about 4 kilometers from the Israeli border, is the largest of its kind in the area and was the site where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered his well-known speech in the 1990s comparing Israeli society to a “spider’s web.” The encirclement battle is still ongoing. Both operations, the Operation Eternal Darkness strike and the Bint Jbeil encirclement, were based on intelligence gathered and plans developed in recent weeks by Military Intelligence and Northern Command, with the understanding that the IDF could operate in Lebanon even during a ceasefire with Iran. The senior security official noted that despite repeated Iranian demands to include Lebanon in the ceasefire agreement with the United States, a decision was reached by political leaders in Washington and Jerusalem to separate the two arenas. Pakistan’s prime minister, who mediated the ceasefire, stated that Lebanon was included as Iran had requested. However, in Washington, President Donald Trump and his aides clarified that Israel remains free to continue fighting in Lebanon despite the ceasefire. Iran continues to insist that Lebanon is part of the agreement. Security officials say this likely follows pressure from Hezbollah on Tehran not to abandon it to face Israel alone after Hezbollah had previously assisted Iran. Iranian officials, including Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Aerospace Force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh Mousavi, have threatened to strike Israel and close the Strait of Hormuz in retaliation for IDF operations in southern Lebanon and as a deterrent against further action. The IDF assesses that Iran seeks to preserve the ceasefire and will likely limit its response to extending the closure of the Strait of Hormuz rather than launching direct attacks on Israel. Israeli officials have also formed a new assessment that civilian leadership figures who remain in power, rather than senior IRGC commanders, are now more dominant in Tehran. Among them are the parliament speaker and former IRGC commander Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, alongside President Masoud Pezeshkian and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, whose standing has recently strengthened. https://www.ynetnews.com/article/bjzeqlvnzl |

34 new West Bank settlements formally approved by government By Jeremy Sharon Follow Today, 1:17 pm The security cabinet approved the establishment of 34 new settlements in a meeting two weeks ago, The Times of Israel has learned. This brings to 103 the total number of new settlements established or retroactively legalized by the government since it took office in 2022. Only six new settlements were formally approved by Israel in the 30 years following the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993. Security cabinet meetings and their decisions are classified, and there has been no official confirmation of the decision by the government. The new settlements likely include not only brand-new settlements but also the retroactive legalization of formerly illegal outposts, and are spread across the entire West Bank, previous reports have indicated. Ynet reports that IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir expressed serious concern at the security cabinet meeting that the approval of the new settlements would further stretch the IDF’s already severely strained manpower resources. The Yesh Din organization, which campaigns against violations of Palestinian rights, alleges that the approval of the new settlements is designed to advance the “ethnic cleansing” of the West Bank. "While we were running to bomb shelters [during the war with Iran and Hezbollah], it was urgent for cabinet members to establish dozens more new settlements in the West Bank, thereby advancing the Smotrich plan for ethnic cleansing of the West Bank by pushing the Palestinians into small, densely populated enclaves in Area A,” the group charges, referring to Religious Zionism party head Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, a firm settlement advocate. The Peace Now organization, which strongly opposes the settlement movement, accuses the government of trying to establish as many facts on the ground as possible before the next elections. "Today, it is clear to everyone, and the IDF emphasizes this again and again, that establishing settlements is harmful to security, places an abnormal burden on the IDF, and harms the possibility of resolving the conflict and reaching some kind of future security and peace,” the group claims. https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/34-new-west-bank-settlements-formally-approved-by-government/ |
