Gaining weight is expensive o especially in a short period say 2 months. Daily routine should include at least 5 eggs, taking junks like shawarma, burger, coldstone etc, drinking milk. All that should be in between meals which should be normal 3 square meal. Draw ur time table Thank me later after 2 months
Please don't forget to hit the gym |

My challenge now is do I write the query with the db browser or the sqlite itsself or better still how do work with the db browser and sqlite together ie connecting db browser with sqlite. have searched Google but the result am seeing is it's either they concentrate on db browser or sqlite. I just want to know how to connect the two together. please gurus help me solve this dilemma. thanks |

CareerPorte: You just nailed it. That my point exactly. People learn and comprehend in different ways. Saying watching videos is not enough to become grounded is totally off the point. I learnt everything I know in Data Science through videos and online Bootcamp. I'm still a work in progress though, Nobody knows it all. But I can tell you for free that I have learnt enough to land me an entry-level data science role. I got a couple of invites for interview for data science jobs in the USA, I couldn't attend because they all want candidates residing in the US even though its remote. The idea was to convert remote workers to full-time after covid subsides.
I just want to enjoin everyone striving hard to learn data science not to give up. There a long road ahead, but appreciate yourself for what you have learnt so far. It is not easy to learn excel alone to mastery level not to talk of SQL and Machine Learning that requires a lot of complex algorithm for building your models. Have a plan, draw a learning schedule for your self and give yourself timelines. Don't try to learn everything at once. Take it one step at a time.
What seems difficult today, will seem like a stroll in the park to you in a couple of months from now with hard work, consistency and dedication. Download different data sets on Kaggle and try to make meaning out of them using what you have learnt so far, be it excel, PowerBI, SQL, TABLEAU or Machine learning.
Believe me, you have what it takes to become a full-fledged data scientist.
Don't be discouraged guys. We will all come back here one day to share our story of how we landed a great job through our skills.
KEEP GRINGING. I would like to chat with you about data science . At also new in the process so I really want personnel in the field to talk to, even if it's a group discussion. Thanks |

Dahyormine: IMO, Power BI is Python and Excel combined, apart from ML.
initially I learnt PBI using Kiril Eremenko's course on Udemy, he only treated visualisation, in 3days I was done and I felt like what's the hype about PBI since its only Drag and drop... lol I went back learning python till I was comfortable.
I was making research, then i discovered I could do more with PBI. I went back and got another video on udemy like 5gig content. mehn this guy broke down PBI in and out.
basically PBI is divided into 3parts, visualisation, Power Query and DAX... with Power query, you can manipulate and query data to taste. with DAX, you can carry out any data analysis calculation(This is deep). Formally, when I wanted to do any anything involving datetime analysis and Forecast, I would use Statsmodel's ARIMA in Python, and that could take average of 10lines of serious Code, when I came across PBI, I could forecast with 3-4 clicks... mehn I was stunned. most people don't know that one can Webscrape with PBI, you can do allota wonders with that monster package. I would advice everyone to take full advantage of it if you really wanna go deep in Data Analytics.
you can contact me for materials or link to good materials. peace
Edit: When it comes to Business Intelligence, it has Data modelling ability where you can link many Datasets together so they interact as one and so many more. I must say thank you..... am enlightened. thanks once again, @dauddy thanks. I would still like get links to good materials cos the reason for me been inquisitive is that my future depends on it. thanks |

Dahyormine: Sorry bro, Tableau/PBI are more than just visualisation tools, with only visualisation, you are missing over 80% of their functions! Peace! dauddy97: if visualization isn't the core function of Tableau which can also be done with Python. I will be happy if you could list other functions.
Peace! Please Dahyormine, do justice to dauddy97 question because am getting the puzzle. thanks. Zabiboy what can u say about the above quotes? |

SMH....it's clear you know nothing about web development so i wont bother talking much...All i'll say is web development is far more than designing websites...So in your mind now, websites like Jumia/konga/bet9ja/amazon/aliexpress or social medias like Instagram/twitter/reddit or bank websites and other top websites are designed for 20k bah...talkless of the developers handling the backend process and logic that makes these sites function 24/7 and most operate Dynamically... Anyways, my only problem with Data Science/analysis here is the recent increase in irrelvancies in requirements... While working on #makeovermonday, a tableau project dropped every Monday, i discovered some guru's who are only good in tableau and excel and have a good paying job..But here in nigeria, the requirement is just B.S ... Also, to correct nwele2017, web development hasnt reached it's prime yet...it's still developing...soon, many business would go fully digital like jumia/konga/amazon/aliexpress etc...then you can say it's at it's prime.... Finally, if age/time is at your side and you have passion you can go for data science/analysis( i actually learnt all the basic tools and softwares of data analysis b4 moving to web dev.) GL

Programming › Re: Chronicle Of A Data Scientist/analyst by elvisgaga: 7:17am On Sep 25, 2020 |
nwele2017: I will advice you to go for what you have passion for. If you have passion for web development and you are willing to dedicate your time for it, build projects and try to differentiate yourself from other web developer then go for web development. Some people might tell you that the web development field is saturated, but I don't think that is true for developers who know their onion. It is true that breaking into web development field is not as easy as what it use to be 5 years ago , breaking into the field is not easy for an average John but dedication and passion is always the key to success in any field one finds himself or herself in. On the other hand If you have passion for numbers and you are very good at communicating then you can try out data science. Data science is still evolving Field unlike web development which we can say has gotten to its prime age and with a lot of people parading themselves like web developer, data few specialist and the demand for it is high. The demand for data specialist will keep souring up since business are sparing up everywhere. unless businesses will one decided not make profit then their will be no need for data specialist Any longer. There is always a good prospect in any field you choose. It all depend on you to make something out of which ever field you choose. Dedication, passion and consistency are just the right words. If you opt for web development, then do it like no tomorrow,do it like your life depends on it, do it like without it your life will be useless. Don't look back. Thanks. Can you help with courses to go through to become a data scientist? |
