A 22 years old Nigerian pop singer identified Maido Juicyboy narrates how Nigerian police attacked and beat him and his friend along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Thursday, 22 September.

Maido who recently collaborated with Ice Prince on a song titled "Wider" says he was driving along Lagos-Ibadan expressway at 7 pm together his friend when three Nigerian Policemen attacked them.
His story touched the hearts of so many Nigerians both on Facebook and Twitter and they have been seeking for justice for Maido.

Yesterday was the worst day of my life, infact I almost lost it. At about 7pm I was driving along lagos-Ibadan express way with a friend, when we noticed a car closing up on ours and someone waving to us, asking us to stop. After I took sometime to observe I suspected it was the police and I pulled over. Actually they weren't even in a police vehicle so I couldn't have noticed early enough. They were armed, one of them furiously came to me shouting, he said they have been trying to stop me or chasing me for a while. I was suprised because I did not notice at all. There were three of them, only one was on uniform. They immediately started cursing and using vulgar words on us, they called us criminals for no reason, after so much interrogation they decided to do a search on the vehicle, I consented to that, and when they could not find anything incriminating in the car they demanded to search our phones. I refused them checking my phone because they had already seized my friend's phone for no reason, I simply tried to make them understand that my phone is my private property but instead of hearing me out, they resorted to physical assault. They hit me with all sort of objects including their guns, I had to do my best to leave the scene for my dear life. I was terribly injured over a phone that wasn't worth it at all, I equally lost my wrist watch. The question is, what wrong have I done by being a regular Nigerian young boy into entertainment. The Nigerian Army reacts to the new Boko Haram video release rumours, says is a mere propaganda and a sign of desperation



The Military tells Nigerians to ignore all the treats made by the Boko Haram factional leader, Abubakar Shekau in the recent video released by the group.

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a video clip released by the so-called Abubakar Shekau faction of the remnants of the Boko Haram terrorists group this morning. In it, the purported leader of the group in his usual insane manner made all sorts of assertions to the point of threatening various towns, groups and individuals. He also tried albeit failingly to deny the air raid by the Nigerian Air Force in which he was wounded.
The video has shown beyond all reasonable doubt the earlier suspicion that the purported factional terrorists group leader is mentally sick and unstable. The ranting is also another sign that the end is near for him which is part of the signs of all wicked people.
The Nigerian Army wishes to assure the public that they should not be bothered by the contents of the video clip. This is because the facts on the ground speak for themselves. It is public knowledge that the military has been making concerted efforts to clear the remnants of the terrorists and rescue all persons held hostage by them especially the abducted Chibok Secondary School girls.
This is a task that will be accomplished, no matter how long it takes. We are determined in this regards. Already thousands of persons have been rescued by troops from the terrorists. The video has further shown that he has derailed and no longer believes and practices the Islam he professes to follow; as he was absent at the last Eid prayers video. It is equally reported that he could not even lead prayers. The public should not be fooled by this individual. No nation or society would believe him or any Boko Haram terrorist based on antecedent and as he has shown over times to be irrational and therefore unreliable especially when it comes to negotiations on the release of the abducted girls.
Therefore he must release them unconditionally. We want to assure Nigerians especially the residents of Maiduguri, Kano, Kaduna and Zaria not to panic as we have more than what it takes to defend them and deal decisively with the remnants of the terrorists group. We would like to reiterate that Boko Haram terrorism as it was known, is gone for good. We are just counting down to the day when all the few remnants will be totally wiped out or brought to justice.
However, a window still exists for the repentant ones among them to lay down their arms and surrender to justice.

A 25 years old boy identified as Ogobuchi Ogbonna, allegedly drowned his kid brother in a stream after tying a stone to his waist and throwing him inside a river in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

According to reports, the incident occurred at Ndievor-Nchoko, Igbeagu community in Izzi Local Government Area which is within Abakaliki magisterial district. The act is punishable under the Criminal Code, cap 33: Vol 1; laws of Ebonyi 2009. Ogbonna who was arraigned at a Magistrates’ court in Abakaliki, on a one-count charge of unlawfully causing the death of the boy on Sept. 9, had no counsel to represent him in the matter. He however, pleaded not guilty to the charge. The Magistrate, Mr Nnachi Olughu, ordered that the he (Ogbonna) be remanded in prison custody till Nov. 18. The magistrate also ordered that the case file be transferred to the Director of Public Prosecution for necessary action as the court lacked the jurisdiction to handle the matter.

Nigeria's Ex-aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has stated that Kenya is far behind Nigeria in all ramifications.

The former minister was saying this in defence of his country in the ongoing war between Nigeria and Kenya on Twitter.

The battle began following unclear reports and speculations which trailed the movement of Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, between Nigeria and Kenya.

Fani-Kayode, who lent his voice via his official Twitter account, @realffk, pointed out that Kenyans were far behind Nigerians in every aspect.

He said, “Truth is that the Kenyans are very far behind us in every respect. I know their history inside out: they are just too small for us.

“Kenyans should stop attacking Nigeria on twitter. They must know their place. Truth is the worse Nigerian is better than the best Kenyan.

“When Kenyan leaders were still doing ‘mau mau’, swinging from trees and eating one another ours were at Oxford and Cambridge university.”
