dadycology: Please, can a group be created so we're kept informed and in touch as regards this our batch?
I know some of us are yet to get some mails (hopefully), some are cleared for the next phase of the programme (assessment centre), some are yet to conclude the soft training on Jobberman.
I think it's best a new whatsApp group is created since the recent one doesn't have many of us on them.
What are your thoughts? I don't mind creating it. Then we drop phone numbers.
Thank you. Hello, I like that idea. Just to clarify, do you personally know anyone that has been cleared for the next stage (assessment centre) |

Thanks a lot Solatium: Na una dey always post for una friend, there has never been anytime you guy's own up to been the one in dilemma. Anyway the date of your wedding is immaterial provided you have long proof of relationship, letters/mails, messages, pictures will serve as proof if they call for more evidence |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 7 by Emia: 4:36am On May 03, 2022 |
LoL thank you mightyjn: I don't think the date of the marriage actually matters.
I have had a few guys return to marry their babes after coming to the UK and all got to process their Visas immediately after the wedding to join them. Having extra evidence uploaded would be a good idea, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the marriage being too close to travel. If you are so scared, apply for the student first and then immediately apply for the partner once the first visa is issued.
Congratulations to u ... sorry .. your friend |

Thank you very much for this duchess90: Hello,
Your friend should only be worried if the marriage is indeed sham.
If it is not, evidence of dating ( a mix of pictures, chats, bills paid together etc)at different months throughout the span of 3years should be submitted along with the marriage certificate when he is processing his dependant application.
It is that simple, they don't have to defer the admission
Cheers |

Good afternoon friends. My friend is in a dilemma. He's been dating a girl for over 3 years now and she has decided to travel abroad for her master's. He's footing about 70% of the bills so they decided to do a court marriage last month so they can move together and start visa application by July as she's already gotten admission. Now the issue is someone advised them that their marriage date is too close to the visa application date and that it might raise red flags as the marriage might be viewed as a sham marriage (even though it isn't). They were advised to defer the admission and not apply now. Now he's scared of applying as he doesn't want to risk a rejection. Please what's your advice and does he really stand a huge risk of rejection? Cc: justwise |

Big congratulations chief !!! annex1: My people. Its been 1 year and 8 months since the last update - boy has it been a ride. I submitted the application July of 2020 and then total silence due to international travel ban and what not.
After absolutely no contact from IRCC 1st half 2021, my medical result expired June 2021. The instruction was to wait to obtain new medical instruction from IRCC or otherwise get an automatic extension (which is good for cash saving) - so your boy kept waiting. At this point I knew all my submitted docs would have expired.
To be frank, I lost hope on this journey. I was filled with so many emotions at the same time. I was even close to processing Portugal or UK save for cash - speaking of cash, so along the end of Dec 2020, I lost a considerable sum of money about 2.5 in a terrible investment. I bin dey even shame to tell person lol. Money wey no even dey.
Till date, Ive still not recovered from it but just so you get the idea of how 2021 felt for me. I got friends who I started the waka with leaving for other countries. It all looked funny - at a time i asked myself if this is Australia happening again Loool. A total of four comrades left Naij while my app had no direction.
Anyways, I couldn't hold it anymore at the eight month especially when I saw more recent candidates applications approved. I presented myself for another medicals (46k) March 10 2022 along with Police character certificate in Alagbon. Immediately i was on time off, travelled down to lagos on a very tight budget so GIGM was the choice (bros airline is 100k return) Got to lagos at night, crashed in my friend's crib - I couldn't go to my parent's because marriage talk would have ended me.
I had the new medical sheet uploaded same day. The next day 11th March, I got a document request for Schedule A (practically explaining where you'd been in the past 10 years) which I submitted 13th March.
Brethren, I got the Ready For Visa email today 22nd March 2022. I've been playing gospel music since.
Now I'm prepping to process the passport for stamping. I'll drop update. Hope yall have been A+ |

If sponsored by a parent, does it raise any red flags if travelling with a spouse still ? JorshWa: When printing your bank statement, just avoid dates where large sum deposits are made if you can't explain how. If you're self-funding, yeah you have to show proof like employment letter, CV, pay slips, business registration, etc. If you're being sponsored, then the letter stating that from your sponsor which must be your parent or spouse. I hope I got your question correctly?... |
