Politics / Re: What Does Crypto Contribute To The Economy by Eminado1: 1:13pm On Feb 22
There is no positive benefit to the economy. Every penny put into crypto will be better utilized in the banks, where they can be loaned to businesses that are adding value or invested directly into these businesses through various mechanisms like NSE.

Crypto thrives for the same reason Ponzi schemes thrive... People want quick profit without caring who gets hurt.
Car Talk / Re: Which Of These Would You Use To Protect Your Car In Today's World? by Eminado1: 11:18am On Oct 09, 2023
All three of them serve different purposes and should be used together.

The steering lock makes the car more difficult to move after thieves gain access to your car.

Should the steering lock fail, the tracker helps you locate the car.

Should the tracker fail or they successful remove items from your car, the Insurance helps you cover the cost of repair or replacement.

Request comprehensive insurance from a reputable broker or insurance agent.

Senator Abbo is already a billionaire , he should pay up and stop jumping from one court to another

Next time, he won't slap a woman that he met at sex gadget shop

How many appral cases can the woman afford? While he is using taxpayers funds to appeal. He would rather pay his lawyers than pay the woman. He was reelected to the Nigerian senator when he should have been impeached at the very least.
Sports / Re: Why Are Players Going To Saudi Arabia? by Eminado1: 7:30am On Aug 17, 2023
The World Cup created awareness about football development in the region. The players see a country eager to develop their sport and are eager to help (for a fee). This is no different from when America and China signed some big names in football.

Before these top players will consider auch a move, there must be certain standards in place such security, infrastructure (good stadiums and all), credibility, and so on.

For Saudi Arabia, they hope the fans, sponsors, and other stakeholders of these players move with the players to the league.

This is probably the only country that orders airstrikes within its own boarders. What's worse is that it is among the first course of action.

Romance / Re: Men Are Becoming More Lonely Because Women Are Not Settling For Less (photos) by Eminado1: 12:12pm On Aug 18, 2022
This is funny. The percentage of men on dating sites does not adequately represent the reality of the dating pool considering dating sites are notoriously unfriendly towards women.

Also consider a lot of the men on dating apps are married men looking for a casual fling. In Nigeria, most single lonely girls spend their time in religious crusade grounds praying for a life partner.

This should not be interpreted to mean there are not a lot of single lonely men but their parameters for arriving at this conclusion in inaccurate

siofra:

I wonder if this applies to romantic relationships in Nigeria too because as for me, I'm not settling for any ashy, emotionally immature guy like these redpillers. undecided

This is a non-compete clause. Part of its function is to ensure you do not take their customers or disclose sensitive information to competitors when you leave.

Organizations rarely enforce this strictly.

Give them ur School Mgt Phone numbers for them to call and confirm.

Except it is a private school, I doubt the staff will be willing to confirm anybody within 2 phone calls.

A proactive solution will be to get a letter headed and stamped letter from HOD, Dean, an important office in your school with the authority to speak to your current academic standing.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Business Owners, Whats Your Experience With Bad Staff by Eminado1: 7:59pm On Mar 30, 2022
Someone once said that in looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence abd hardworking. If you do not have the first quality, the other two will kill you. You think about it; its true. If you hire someone without integrity, you really want them to be dumb and lazy.

I am not negating the other two traits as deemed of lesser importance. You absolutely need intelligence in a knowledge economy. Hardwork is the fuel that propels passion and motivation.

But integrity is non-negotiable.

In no particular order - Kenya, Botswana, Gambia, Rwanda, Ghana, South Africa. Most African countries are nepotistic to some degree so except you have skills in a high demand sector, doing business will be your best bet.

Business / Re: A Customer Blocked Me After Making An Order by Eminado1: 12:32pm On Feb 07, 2022
The vendor does not trust the customer to pay after delivery.

The customer does not trust the vendor to supply if payment is made before delivery.

I postulate that the level of trust in a country is directly proportional to economic development.

Interesting how people always blame the victim for being greedy. It is like we have no laws against fraud in Nigeria. The bank can help him recover his money and punish the perpetuator if they want to...

Religion / Re: If You Die The Next Minute, Hell Fire Or Paradise by Eminado1: 9:15am On Feb 06, 2021
Let us forget about heaven and hell for a moment and think about something we can control. If you die today, what will happen to your family and those who depend on your income?

What type of school will your children attend? Will your parents be able to afford their medication? Can your family continue to maintain the comfortable lifestyle you have worked so hard to provide?

Do not allow your family to claw their way out of financial hell because you have been called to heaven. Life Insurance is the best legacy you can leave for your loved ones.
Crime / Re: Delta: Gunmen Assassinate Man In His Car In Broad Daylight (Disturbing Photos) by Eminado1: 11:56am On Feb 01, 2021
It is ridiculous to assume this happened because he was rich, proud or no one knew the source of his wealth.

No attempt was made to rob him or take anything from him. They did not touch his driver or the other passenger. His hands are not clean.

1.to be rich in Nigeria is a crime

3.if you're now proud--i'm sorry for you

Does the boy, Ibrahim, have grounds for a legal appeal, if he was made aware of his right to have legal representation and either chose poorly or waived this right somehow?

Are the 20 stroke legal and/or necessary?
Sports / Re: Are Non-african Professional Footballers Really Innocent Of Age Fraud? by Eminado1: 5:44pm On Dec 16, 2020
I think it is a lot more difficult to falsify age in countries that have comprehensive database where records are easily available. Furthermore, they have institutions to which begin training players from a very young age, it is almost not worth it to cheat.

Accumulated fatigue is a real thing. You only talked about the time players spend on the pitch without regard for the hours they spend training before and after every match.

Lastly, players retire at 35 because their body is not as strong as it once was, they do not recover as quickly as they will like or more importantly, some have already figured out their retirement plans and want to start pursuing that early enough. They have more options after retirement than the average African or South American player.

Business / Re: I Just Opened A Business And Got A Salary Work I'm Confused by Eminado1: 1:44pm On Oct 29, 2020
You can take the job and hire someone to look after the business for you, provided you are there after you close from work.

If you opt for this option, you will need a Fidelity Guarantee Insurance in place to protect your business against loss as a result of fraudulent acts by your employee(s).

Corona virus made me lose my job so the little I saved I decided to use it to open a chemist, since last three months I've been working on it though just last week I opened the place but my problem is that I've gotten another work which I'm expecting to start next week.

My problem is that I don't know if should reject the work and be nuturing my business gradually or I should employ someone though I don't know the risk attached.

Please help a brother I'm seriously confused right now.

I saw your question about the study center/preparatory classes. Some states have official study centers, for others, it is unofficial. You can call the number for your exam center to find out what arrangement they have in place.

Thank you. I was not sure how to estimate the comprehensive fee (which includes building fee, library fee, registration fee and other mandatory fees). I estimate 55k excluding the cost of study materials.
