The 2016 US election has officially begun, with Hillary Clinton coming out on top in the first results to come back the nine-person community of Dixville Notch.

Clinton came out with just under half the vote, as a whopping four people picked her to win. Trump did half as well with two, while Gary Johnson racked up one.

But the real surprise was a written-in vote for 2012 candidate Mitt Romney.

Clinton’s success may seem odd: Not only does the community usually vote Republican, there are only two women and seven men.

Then again, the remote New Hampshire community voted overwhelmingly for Obama in the 2008 election giving him 15 votes to John McCain’s six.

Factory worker Michael, from Kimberworth, Rotherham, started growing his beard six years ago and it now measures 27 inches.

Joked the father of two: “If I’m going out I can easily take longer than the wife to get ready because I have to wash, dry and oil my beard.”

Michael has been crowned Yorkshire beard champ several times and first won the UK’s longest bear competition back in 2014.

He has even managed to bag seventh place in the international competition.

Michael has previously said he only started growing his beard as a bet with his mates.

He added: “It was a bet with some mates to see who could go longest without shaving and one by one they all dropped out. I had no idea where it would lead.

The first ever beauty pageant for people known, according to research, to be born with a limited amount of melanin was held in Kenya

Beauty they say is in the eye of the beholder and unfortunately, sometimes society dictates what is beauty even though it may not apply to everyone’s standard. In parts of East and Southern Africa, people with Albinisim have been attacked, abducted and killed.

Now Kenya is hoping to change all that with how some people view albinos as it held the first Mr & Miss Albinism beauty pageant on Africa Human Rights Day.

The event was organized by the Albinism Society of Kenya (ASK) who are hoping the pageant will promote the inclusion of people with albinism and reduce the stigma, alienation and even physical abuse they face in the region.

Donald Trump, trailing his opponent in key battleground states polls less than two weeks from Election Day, said Thursday he’d like to “cancel the election” and be declared the winner.

“Just thinking to myself right now, we should just cancel the election and just give it to Trump,” the Republican presidential nominee said during a rally here on Thursday.

“Her policies are so bad. Boy, do we have a big difference,” he added of his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The apparently lighthearted comment falls against the backdrop of Trump’s repeated and serious questioning of the legitimacy of the presidential election in recent weeks as he has tumbled in the polls.

Trump has called the election “rigged,” argued that the media and establishment politicians are conspiring to sink his campaign and warned supporters that the presidency could be stolen from them due to voter fraud instances of which are extremely rare.

A press briefing scheduled for Wednesday for Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke, to state her own version of a sex scandal rocking her could not hold.

The briefing scheduled for 10am at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra State council, in Awka, ended abruptly following information that some gunmen would attack the secretariat.

Miss Chidinma Okeke, was the winner of the 2015 Most Beautiful Girl in Anambra pageant competition.

Her alleged lesbian video went viral on the social media recently, She was reported to have vowed to expose the complicity of some top politicians and government officials in the sex scandal at the botched press conference.

But no sooner had the journalists arrived the venue of the conference than calls started coming, threatening that some gunmen were on their way to attack the venue.

The journalists had to flee the place for their lives.

Ms Wettlaufer leaves court with police
A 49-year-old nursing home worker in Ontario has been charged with eight counts of first-degree murder spanning several years.
Elizabeth Tracey Mae Wettlaufer of Woodstock, Ontario, appeared in court on Tuesday morning.

The victims were residents in two long-term care facilities where Ms Wettlaufer worked and were between 75 and 96 years old.
Police said seven of the victims were given a fatal dose of a drug.

The victims were five women and three men and were all residents of Caressant Care in Woodstock and Meadow Park in London, Ontario.

Brazilian football legend Carlos Alberto has died aged 72, according to media reports.

Alberto, who captained Brazil to victory at the 1970 World Cup, reportedly died after suffering a heart attack.

Considered one of the greatest defenders of all time, Alberto scored what is arguably the best World Cup goal in Brazil’s 4-1 victory over Italy in the final of the 1970 World Cup in Mexico.

He was capped 53 times for Brazil, scoring eight goals.

Until his death, he was a sports commentator for Brazilian channel Sportv.

Wayne Rooney won’t play for United on Sunday
Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United’s clash with Chelsea on Sunday with a muscular injury, Sky sources understand.

Rooney sustained the injury in training and has not travelled to London with the rest of the United squad ahead of the game at Stamford Bridge.



The United squad left for the capital without their captain on Saturday afternoon, making the trip south by train from Stockport.

The England skipper has only been on the bench for United’s last three Premier League games but he did start their 4-1 Europa League win over Fenerbahce on Thursday.

Rooney’s last Premier League start came in the 3-1 defeat at Watford, after which he was on the receiving end of a deal of criticism from supporters.

Mehmet Kadir Cabel, the regional leader for ISIS in Gaziantep, Turkey, was killed Sunday when police raided his cell house, state-run Anadolu Agency reported, citing police and the regional governor.

Three police officers were also killed during the operation. Cabel’s wife and two children were captured, along with at least 19 other suspected ISIS members.

Gaziantep is about 95 kilometers (60 miles) north of the war-torn Syrian city of Aleppo. It was the site of a horrific bombing in August that killed 54 people at a wedding celebration.

ISIS claimed responsibility.
The blast disproportionately killed women and children, with it timed to detonate during a part of the festivities when those groups painted themselves with henna, authorities said.

In May, two police officers died in an explosion at a police station in Gaziantep.

Violence has occurred with frequency this year in Turkey, with much of the bloodshed connected to ISIS.
In the one of the most brazen attacks, suspected ISIS suicide bombers killed 44 people at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in July.

A surveillance camera captured a shopper accidentally knocking over FOUR television sets at the HBH Woolacotts electronics store in St Austell, southwest England, on Sept. 29.

In the clip, the customer can be seen crouching down to get a closer look at one of the TVs. He gets a little too close and knocks it backwards into another set. Startled, the customer backs up into two more TVs and knocks them over as well.
