Ize-Iyamu sympathizes with PDP, Obaseki over supporters involved in motor crash
…prays for quick and total recovery

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Edo Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has sympathized with the PDP and its candidate, Governor Godwin Obaseki, over the motor accident involving their supporters reportedly traveling to a campaign event in Ivioghe, Etsako East.

The supporters, traveling in a campaign bus and another car, reportedly suffered a collision, leading to the hospitalization of an unconfirmed number of persons.

Reacting through a statement issued by the APC State Media Campaign Council, Pastor Ize-Iyamu expressed sadness at the incident and prayed for the quick recovery of everyone involved in the crash.

He said: “I have just heard the sad report of the crash involving supporters of the Governor Godwin Obaseki and the PDP in Ivioghe, Etsako East. I wish to express heartfelt sympathy to the Governor, his party, and the families of everyone involved in the unfortunate accident.”

“I am joining everyone in prayers for the quick recovery of all injured persons so they can safely rejoin the campaign of the Governor as we approach Election Day. May the Lord perfect their healing and make their recovery both quick and total. Amen.”

Our attention has been drawn to the recent outlandish, malicious, false

wish to categorically state that nothing can be farther from the truth.

The name description of Abudu Ganiyu Audu contained on his

*Ize-Iyamu congratulates Edo new Speaker,* *says his emergence marks end of lopsided democracy*

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the Sept. 19 Edo Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has congratulated the newly-elected Speaker of the Edo Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror, describing his emergence as the end of a deformed and lopsided democracy.

Hon. Victor Edoror of Esan Central constituency emerged Speaker on Thursday in an emergency plenary session attended by 17 elected members of the House of Assembly, while Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje of Akoko-Edo Constituency II was elected as Deputy Speaker.

The emergency plenary session impeached Hon. Frank Okiye and Roland Asoro as Speaker and Deputy Speaker respectively and nullified all previous actions taken by the 7th Assembly.

In a congratulatory message signed by Mr. John Mayaki, the Chairman of the APC State Media Campaign Council, Ize-Iyamu said the emergence of Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror as Speaker is a victory for Edo State and all constituencies previously denied representation.

He said: “I am happy to receive the news of the emergence of Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror as the Speaker of the Edo State House Assembly.”

“His emergence marks an end to a lopsided and deformed democracy, ushering in a new and reformed era of inclusive governance and non-discriminatory politics.”

“Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror’s emergence is also a victory for the people of Edo State, for the constituencies previously sidelined, and for the House-members’ elect who had been unfairly denied their elective right to represent their constituencies in government.”

“Personally, as someone who has known Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror for a long time, I am convinced by the great personality he is; I am sure that this joy sweeping across Edo as the shackles of tyranny breaks today, will not be temporary.”

“As a true democrat and a progressive, and as someone who came to leadership through and after a tomentous and elongated period of political persecution, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror knows the sour taste of injustice and as such would not let any one more Edo person experience such bitter tang.”

“Backed by an overwhelming majority, Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror is demonstrably the people’s choice for the position. And it is in line with common sense that for an individual to sway such massive support, he must have demonstrated great qualities admired and necessary for leadership and development, and as such is being trusted with the enormous task of piloting the House from its darkest moments as cast into by the reprehensible divide-and-rule politics of the outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki.”

“I send my congratulations to Rt. Hon. Victor Edoror while at the same time encouraging him to set a good example with the opportunity of leadership God has given to him today.”

Edo 2020: EDHA Deputy Speaker, four other members pledge support for Ize-Iyamu

The Deputy Speaker of the Edo House of Assembly and representative of Akoko-Edo Constituency I, Hon. Yekini Idiaye, and four other members of the Assembly have pledged their support for the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, bringing the numbers of elected members who have declared their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Edo Assembly to an overwhelming majority of 17.

Hon. Yekini Idiaye was joined by Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje, Akoko-Edo Constituency II, Hon. Nosayaba Okunbor, Orhiomwon East Constituency, Hon. Dumez Ugiagbe, Member-elect, Ovia North East Constituency I, and Mr. Vincent Uwadiae, Member-elect, Ovia North East Constituency II, on a solidarity visit to the private residence of Pastor Ize-Iyamu in Benin where they declared their support on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, the EDHA members maintained that they will not leave the All Progressives Congress, APC, for another while assuring Ize-Iyamu of their complete loyalty and commencement of mobilization of voters at the grassroots to secure his victory at the polls.

The Deputy Speaker, Hon. Yekini Idiaye, said he had no reason to join the incumbent Governor in his defection, or to back his re-election bid, because the non-performing administration of Mr. Godwin Obaseki has failed to initiate any developmental project in his constituency despite his consistent intervention efforts.

He said: "There is no reason for me to deflect to another party because there is no single project in my village to show under this present administration."

"I am from Somorika, in Akoko Edo Local government area and my village is the most backward in Akoko Edo."

In the same vein, Hon. Emmanuel Agbaje said the four-year tenure of Governor Godwin Obaseki has been a waste for Edo State and it is time to go to the next level with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

"There are clear reasons why we are standing for our party because what would have been our problem in making progress has left us."

"I want to assure Edo people that with the emergence of Ize-Iyamu, Edo will move forward".

On his own part, Hon. Okunbor said the elected lawmakers believe in party supremacy and will be offering their support to the candidate of the APC, Pastor Ize-Iyamu.

In his remarks, Ize-Iyamu thanked the elected lawmakers for their courage and integrity, while also criticizing the Governor for dividing the State by denying representation to 14 elected lawmakers for over a year.

According to Ize-Iyamu, by the sheer fact that 17 of the 24 members of the Assembly have roundly rejected the Governor, the partial Assembly he forcefully put together, against the resolution of the National Assembly, has now fallen apart.

In his words, "Over a year, 14 members have not being allowed to occupy their seats and over half of the state have been deprived of fair representation."

"The Deputy Speaker of the house has come to show courage and integrity that he can no longer support Gov. Obaseki. He made it clear that he was appointed under APC and will remain in APC. In a house of 24 members, 17 are no longer supporting the Gov. Obaseki meaning the house has fallen apart."

Ize-Iyamu assured the lawmakers of bringing development to their constituencies when elected as Edo Governor, stressing the plans contained in his SIMPLE agenda manifesto to harness the ecotourism potentials of Somorika.

EDO PEOPLE! EDO MARKET WOMEN!!! NO MORE FIRE WITHOUT FIRE SERVICE WITHOUT SIMPLE AGENDA.

FIRE SERVICE

We are seriously concerned about the Edo Fire Service responses to critical fire incidences, particularly within our major cities. The Uwelu Spare Parts market, Oliha market, Santana market, Osa market, and the Urhokpota fire disasters all within 8 months have exposed the terrible state of our fire service and the government’s disdain for the common man hinged on her failure to respond and prepare for future incidences. Therefore, we will:

• Modernize, scale up and enhance the capacity of Edo State Fire Service to respond effectively to critical fire incidents within 30 minutes in our cities.

• Every major market in the state will be reformed to accommodate a fire service unit. These units will serve as a branch of the state fire service.

• We will set up dedicated water reservoirs in some areas of the state for the refill of water tanks of fire service trucks.

• These policies would help to create over 3,000 additional new jobs and safeguard 5,000 existing jobs in the sector.

PRESS RELEASE

DISCLAIMER OF EDO STATE ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) SUPPORT FOR OBASEKI RE-ELECTION

It has come to the notice of the Edo State working committee and also to the national working committee of our great party ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE national head quarters Abuja that one Pastor Solomon Osarumwense Oshodi has collapsed AGA party structure in Edo State and joined with other political parties in the state in other to ensure the Re-election of the incumbent governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy for this coming Edo Sep 19th Edo Election.

The current state working committee headed by Comrade Andrew Igwemoh, a chartered management accountant and with the directives of the national working committee ably led by Honorable Dr. Olukayode Oshiariyo hereby debunk and disclaim in entirety all claims in that recent statement of one Mr. Osohodi using the name of our highly respected ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) in soliciting votes for Mr. Godwin Obaseki.

The said Mr. Osarumwense Oshodi has since been removed by the national working committee as Edo State Chairman In September 2019 and should therefore desist from parading himself or putting himself forward in that capacity in Edo State and the general public should disregard whatever purported comment in the name of ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) in Edo State.

As the current acting state chairman of the party in Edo State our party, ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA), is not involved in any unholy alliance with PDP and Obaseki Re-Election which to us is already a failed bid and dead on arrival.

A bad son who forgets and disrespect the parents/helpers and who forgets also to be humble when the benevolent spirits crack his nut for him certainly cannot be taken to be a serious contender for the exalted office of governor and for re-election in the forth coming September 19th election.

We are saying that the ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) as a political family in Edo State and at the national level has not adopted any governorship candidate and we are not in any political alliance with any for the time being.

ALL GRASSROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) wants to place on records that whatever modest achievement of the current Governor Obaseki for the past three and half years does not meet the irreducible minimum of objective performance if an AGA Governor was elected and would have bequeathed to Edo People. If this is the standard of governance, then count ALL GRASS ROOT ALLIANCE (AGA) out. Edo state deserves better than what we presently witness for the past three and half years.

ALL GRASSROOT ALLINACE (AGA) scores this government 38% performance rating
