God holds no account of sin. Whatever foolish deed a believer does, there are consequences and these consequences you must witness. God has dealt with sin once and for all. And a true believer (with the right understanding) ought to be above sin bcoz he liveth no more in the flesh but spirit. Spiritual life is a life far above sinfulness. God loves the world (sinners and believers alike) but hates sin. For this very reason he sent His son that grace may abound only to them that believe what His son's death on the cross meant. Let me explain a bit with the parable of the talent. All the Master's servants are like men and women, sons and daughters from all tribe and race. The talents given to the servants according to their ability are liken to our potentials, gifts, etc according to our capacity. With these potentials and gifts we ought to be fruitful. And except a man is clinged to Christ, he bears no fruit (The true vine). The lazy and wicked servant was not casted out bcoz of the burying of his talent. Rather, bcoz he was not fruitful. No wonder the Master emphatically stated that, "So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. Matthew 25:27 NKJV. We're not going to be judged on account of what we did wrong (sins), rather on account of the good we didn't do haven heard the good news of Christ. As sons of God, we're bound to do good. If we don't, then we were never the true sons of God. This is a sure distinction btwn believers and unbelievers. |
