sudo1986: I called one of the lecturers in UI, he said and i quote; The number of candidates that scored 40 and above are too much than expected. The departments may decide to schedule another examination or upgrade the cut-off mark to 50%. Now i am not in good mood because candidates that applied for my course (Information Science) are too much. I only need God's intervention because i scored 43 I ll advice u to be more concerned about ur transcript at this stage as transcript might even hinder som1 who scored 86 from getting admitted. Make sure your transcript reads Yes present b4 October ending. #peace |

Atimes all dis lecturers say this to scare the shit out of u...they always say this to make the admission look so tough and competitive. The lecturer is not the admission officer now... And am sure he only knws about his dept where he lectures. Am sure UI ll knw how to reduce d number of candidates @ d nxt stage. CGPA or perhaps 2nd test might b conducted. They cnt increase cutoff to 50......even all schools use 40 as pass mark..Relax pple |

Mayouree: Hope two out of the three referees are from academics? I mean your past lecturers because if they are not then UI will only pick for you. At leaat 1 must be ur past lecturer or teacher and 1 may be your past employer. |

ayxmania: I feel you bro, but some departments just don't conduct departmental tests. In such cases, if there are more candidates than the available spaces, the departments (if they don't conduct second tests) use the cgpa. They however give preference to Ui graduates tho. Perhaps. |

ayxmania: Bros, not all departments conduct a second test. The truth is, the list of candidates that scored 40 and above has been sent to all departments for consideration. I feel 2nd test should be dependent on how many pple had 40 or above in such dept. If the number of pple who sailed through the 1st test is mire than what d dept can accommodate.... A 2nd test ll be conducted. |

Once again tnks and God bless u, peace!!! baffylander: OP:Its ur call as i said in my earlier post...God bless ur hustle Kid: I just wanted to show i have lived in the FCT n i knw these places...a room n parlour in lugbe FHA for example costs at least 400K P/a,in kubwa u shld get a good one for like 350-400...mararaba might be cheaper...but what does it profit a man to pay almost 5/12 of his salary on rent in abuja. Plus i have never been a politician...lets just say i have multiple sources of income and would gladly host u whenever u decide to grace my hangout wiv ur presence..nl is a faceless forum n i dont really have d time or d inclination to convince u via same... O/P:once again, God be wiv u in whatever u decide to do |

If you've lived for 7 yrs and stil doing good, trust me I can do better with my 70,000.I served @ NNPC towers so FCT aint new to me. baffylander: Well my dear KID, ur doubts are unfounded as i am currently residing in abuja and have been for almost seven years...i have lived in maitama, wuse 2, sauka (airport road) and lugbe as a corper earning peanuts and as a full time employee and still stand by my point which is a salary of 70k does nothing and when i mean nothing, i mean nothing...u need to work, earn money and survive on same before you air opinions here. I know quite a number of people who earn double of the OP's proposed salary who are willing to run out of the FCT at the slightest chance. OP...its still your call, however reason am well..no be only accommodation expensive for abuja, everything is! |
