With his contract expiring at the end of the season and with no immediate sign of a renewal being agreed, Liverpool may be fearing the loss of Emre Can.

The 23-year-old has improved significantly under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield since arriving in 2014, and so it will be a real setback if the Reds aren’t able to agree on new terms to secure his long-term future as he will only develop further in the years ahead.

According to Tuttosport, that picture looks increasingly gloomy for the Merseyside giants as it’s reported that Can’s entourage has held talks with Juventus in another meeting in Milan, with the German international allowed to agree on terms with other clubs without going through Liverpool from February onwards.

It’s evident as to why Juve want to bolster their midfield options as they need to get younger and add more power and dynamism in that area of the field. Massimiliano Allegri’s current options include Sami Khedira, Claudio Marchisio, Miralem Pjanic, Blaise Matuidi, Rodrigo Bentancur and Stefano Sturaro.

In turn, adding Can to the ranks would make plenty of sense, especially on a potential free transfer, as it’s added in the report that Liverpool have no intention of doing a deal in January which would likely involve the German ace leaving in a cut-price deal.

Bacelona planning swoop for Manchester United transfer target to replace misfiring Luis Suarez
Could Barcelona beat United to his signature?
Barcelona are reportedly preparing to bring in a long-term replacement for the ageing and out-of-form Luis Suarez next summer in a move that could come at the expense of Manchester United.
Barca manager Ernesto Valverde has identified Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann as the man for the job when his release clause of £89million comes into effect, according to Diario Gol .

With Suarez making a slow start to this season, Valverde is said to be aware that the Uruguayan may need replacing before too long, with Griezmann clearly an attractive option.

Presidential aide on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie has lashed out on a former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode for describing President Buhari as a “closet radical Islamist and Christian-hating mass murderer and salafist.”

Fani-Kayode, as usual, shared a tweet yesterday where he said President Buhari was a “Christian-hating mass murderer.”

Reacting through a post on her Facebook, she advised the former minister to get a life since the IPOB he was allegedly using as a tool to fight the government was no more.

Singer, Abiye David Jumbo popularly known as Mr. 2Kay was robbed at gun point in his hotel room at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a statement by his record label, Graftin, the incident happened at about 11pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017, during the Buckwyld and Breathless concert where he also performed.

The robbers, 4 in number, gained access into Mr. 2Kay’s room after he mistook one of them for room service. They forced their way into his room and waved a gun with threats to shoot him if he made a noise.

Mr. 2Kay, who was in the room with a friend, struggled with one of the robbers, as the others punched and hit him with a gun, repeatedly warning that they will shoot if he doesn’t calm down.

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Sunday mocked the President Muhammadu Buhari administration for reabsorbing the wanted ex-Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, despite being indicted for allegedly perpetrating fraud to the tune of N2bn, a report by Punch has revealed.

It has also been confirmed by the Ministry of Interior on Sunday that Maina, who is still on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s wanted list, was reabsorbed and promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources at the ministry following recommendations from the Office of the Head of Service.

After a four-day working visit to Turkey, President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, returned to Abuja.

The president left Nigeria for Turkey after presiding over Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting.


While in Turkey, the president held bilateral meetings with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Erdogan. He also attended the meeting of the group of eight developing nations, D-8.

Nnamdi Kanu of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been declared wanted for not showing up in court. That is normal. But if the truth is told, the main culprit for the Biafran crisis are the politicians—not Kanu. The authorities should be knocking at the doors of the seven Nigerian governors of Igbo extraction, namely: Nyesom Ezenwo Wike (Rivers); Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta); Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu); Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia); Rochas Okorocha (Imo); Willie Obiano (Anambra); and David Umahi (Ebonyi). These governors, one after the other, openly inflamed and fueled the Biafran crisis to a sadistic state. Given that Nigerian governors are immune from prosecution, it is incumbent upon the masses to send them packing.

For sure, history will not forgive President Muhammadu Buhari for his mulish leadership in the current Biafran crisis. But the role of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is obviously worse. Then in fervent fear of the probable consequences for their corrupt deeds post-Jonathan regime, the leaders of PDP from the East unleashed a montage of separatist propaganda against the incoming Buhari government. The following innuendo from Nyesom Wike in the waning days of his governorship campaign in 2015 says it all:

“I will lead a war against them (Nigeria) like Ojukwu. Am not joking, I know am on air, and I am warning them now. Any attempt to rob us the way they rob our brother (GEJ) the battle will start from Rivers State. We will remain opposition state like Lagos. In fact, we from the South-South and South-East we remain in PDP. We leave the South-West and North to run APC. That is how they tactically shared the Country. And we will not allow them use our resources to develop their States…I want all South-South and South-East to remember this…”

The youth from the area have since answered Wike’s call, and that is your Biafra. Today, after gaining power and obviously still panting, thanks to the Buhari anti-corruption phobia, Mr. Wike is interestingly grandstanding as an arrow-head of Biafran opposition. Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State is, of course, guilty of similar shenanigans, but the shaming detail do not need to be retold here. English Man Who Bought a Coffin After He Was Told He Was Going to Die By a Fortune Teller

A 28-year-old panicked English trader, Joe Kidd, is a man who bought his own coffin after a fortune teller told him he “doesn’t have much time left”.

He has howver sold it on Gumtree for a £52 profit – and has bought six more caskets to flog.

According to The Sun UK, the superstitious man from Macclesfield, saw his listing to sell the coffin for £300 on the online marketplace go viral yesterday.

The odd listing read: “6.2 feet coughing [sic] for sale due to wrong diagnosis any enquiries please give me a call.”

The Sun Online managed to track down Mr Kidd, who works as a used car salesmen, and he said that he’d had “hundreds and hundreds” of calls about the coffin.

A video has shown the hilarious moment a furious Coventry fan made his way on and off the pitch without any security intervention to rant at his club’s players during their defeat to Forest Green.

Amazingly, the seething Sky Blues supporter was allowed to chase after, scream at and even tussle with the players of the League Two clubs for 30 seconds with no interference from police or stewards.

Coventry captain Michael Doyle was forced to push him off the field at the Ricoh Arena during their 1-0 League Two loss.

It was only after he voluntarily climbed back over the barrier between the pitch and stands that a steward appeared to attempt to steer him back towards his seat.

It is a criminal offence to enter the field of play and pitch invaders face fines and stadium bans.

The frustrated home crowd booed their players as they fell to their second league defeat of the season at the Ricoh Arena.

But one particularly angry fan took matters into his own hands as Forest Green players ran down the clock in seven minutes of injury time.
