Smashed a Rev. Sister? I think that's worse. It's better getting married to her, I believe someone doesn't have to be a Rev. Sister to serve all those spiritual responsibilities. Urgent1Million: Their work is what they do: to serve their lord. Btw, a bishop is addressed as "my lord" by the catholics. You can intrepret the service of rev sisters to their lord however you want.
***whispers*** I nearly married one. Her friend and fellow rev sister at the time fell in love with a guy, left her "calling" and got married. That's when she said she'll quit if I was ready to marry her. Absolutely pretty thing with all the qualities a man will ever desire in a woman. My friends discouraged me that god will punish me if I made her run away from serving god. There were still some touches of religiousity in me at the time, so I declined. We continued smashing though, until I relocated. |

Nairaland General › Re: Nairalanders, Talk To Me About Nairaland by Emmolap(m): 10:52am On Mar 06 |
True. Ɓut, the question is do children of this days even create informative or educational post. This is not a nairaland pandemic it happens on all social media Check the contents people creates now on social media tiktok, FB, IG,X etc people just chase clout for fame and monetisation edogu: I joined Nairaland in 2009, and I can confidently say this is not the same Nairaland I once knew. It is not the platform I proudly introduced to my dad and some of my siblings. It is not the forum that I used to recommend to our students whenever I want to give them examples of online forum.
What makes it to the front page these days is quite disappointing. There was a time when informative and educative content dominated the space. That seems to be fading.
The moderators really need to step up. Some appear politically biased or otherwise, and that raises concerns about fairness. How can moderation truly be impartial when personal leanings seem to influence decisions? |

Investment › Apart From Real Estate, Agric, Trading What Other Legit Investment Options Exist by Emmolap(op): 8:34am On Feb 06 |
One thing I have learned in life is that our environment, knowledge, and level of understanding significantly influence the decisions we make. Recently, I came across a post where a lady discussed mutual bond as an investment opportunity. It made a lot of sense to me, so I decided to research it further and discovered that it is indeed a legitimate option.
Prior to this, most of my knowledge about investments revolved around buying landed properties, cryptocurrency, and trading goods for resale which are all valid investment approaches. However, this experience made me realize that there may be other legitimate investment options that I am not yet aware of.
Nairalanders, please kindly share any genuine investment opportunities you know. I will carry out my own due diligence before making any decisions. |

SixSeven: Whatever happens between you and your spouse, keep the children out of it. Learn to maintain the dignity of their father or mother even if you think t was the worst mistake you ever made. Learn to allow the children find out themselves if he was a deadbeat dad or she was a bad mom. Children will become adults and the adult brain will make them know the truth. No amount of your manipulation can, even when you die. The child was the result of the love (making) you had with your partner, not hate. Don't mix it up. Trust me on this. For young women out there, if there's nothing you are learning, this is the only lesson you should learn from life, BE SURE OF WHO YOU WANT TO OPEN YOUR LEGS TO AND WHOSE SEED YOU WANT TO GERMINATE. Men don't have the power, women do. But use your head, not your heart.

Romance › Re: My Married Guy Advised Me Not To Get Married by Emmolap(m): 2:39am On Feb 02 |
Nice read franchasng: Its subjective and based on individual experience.
Agreed, some ladies can make life a living hell for their partners while acting like all is well.
Many ladies enter into marriage empty handed and expecting their husband to become a commando and spider man Pope John Paul The Bill Gates at the same time, it can be frustrating if you are married to such women at the long run, reason many men regret getting married.
The truth is, in Nigerian setting, marriage seem to benefit women more than men, especially when the man is financially successful, the only thing he benefits is having children and heir in wedlock, outside that nothing else for most Nigerian married men and reason some see marriage as a waste of time.
I addressed some issues on a new thread on my profile for single ladies to learn.
Many well to do men are regretting getting married because they married valueless women whose only contribution is sex that many married men even get bored of over time due to over-familiarity and the natural male trait of desiring new experience at some point.
So to all single and married ladies reading, this is a wake up call for you all, try and become valuable woman that contributes immensely to the success and growth of the man and the overall family finance to avoid your man having this kind of regret of marrying you at the long run.
Marriage in this time and era is beyond providing sex and keeping the home, domestic staffs and side chicks can provide those, be more than just that, be a valuable woman, strive to be a contributor to your husband and family's financial growth and wellbeing, peace |

Can you please share? As someone intending to marry it might be helpful. Sonnobax15: Relax bro.
Like someone recently told me, that there's no manual to achieving a successful marriage.
Just like the op wrote, that those friends of his are all well-to-do men, but they're all still regretting why they got married in the first place.
Three days ago, fortunately I was opportuned to pay my would-be mother in-law an impromptu visit. What the woman told me is still very fresh on my mind and immediately I said to myself,na better mother in-law be this.
Bro,no let anybody pressure you into marriage. Cuz inside relationship self,we don pass through alot, how much more e go be for inside marriage.

May God help us Brendaniel: Jokers, see them acting like they are sincere about the fight against terrorism, Gumi, Turji and co are walking free inside Nigeria, DSS has never invited Gumi for questioning since APC took over in 2015, but Mr Mailafia( may his soul rest in peace) who was raising alarm about the terrorists and exposing part of what we are seeing today was invited by the DSS for questioning.
And some people want me to believe that Tinubu and APC government are sincere with this fight against terrorism. |
