BusinessRe: What's The Biggest Challenge You Have Faced In Making Money On Social Media ? by emmycent(m): 9:39pm On Jun 06
dapadawee:
My biggest challenge is that I have never made money on social media and I don't know how.
My biggest challenge is getting views and traffic. I watched so many videos on YouTube on how to make money on social media and believe me, what many of those videos said was easier said than done. when I started implementing all that I learnt from those videos, I discovered that all what they taught were on the surface different from the reality on ground. Weeks after weeks even into months, the views were not encouraging. The issue again is driving traffic to my social media so that the views would start coming. At a point, it became frustrating and unattainable. Buying fake followers would even do more harm that good because I wanted to use my social media accounts as traffic to sell. I even used Ai for content and it didn't work. Chatgpt advised that consistency is key so I listened and continued yet the views were not encouraging, people weren't seeing my content on social media. The honest truth is, The biggest challenge I faced wasn't getting followers, it was getting the right audience.

In the beginning, I spent a lot of time creating content and posting consistently, but most of the people engaging with my content were not potential customers. Likes and comments felt good on a later stage, but they didn't translate into enquiries or sales.

What changed things for me was focusing on solving specific problems for a specific audience instead of trying to appeal to everyone. Once I started creating content around the exact challenges my target audience faced, engagement became more meaningful and conversions improved.

For me, turning attention into trust, and trust into paying customers, has been the hardest part of making money on social media.
My advice to those that believes that it is so easy to get rich quick by posting contents on social media is that you will be disappointed when you start. even most of the the videos that you have probably watched on YouTube or tiktok with the caption "How I made $1000 in 2 days posting on social media" are not real. Those titles are just to get you excited to click so they get viewers for their video but when you try all they taught in that video, you discover that you have just been lied to. The honest truth is know your audience, their pains and profer solutions also know which social media platforms they are mostly found and don't try to be in all platforms at once to avoid being burned out when growth comes slowly.
