My application has been denied and it's around the assurance availability of funds, though the funds are in my spouses account which we are both signatories to. And I also paid full 1yr tuition. Available POF is around 115m.

Long story short, I want to defer to January and do GIC to show VO that funds are readily available.

Firstly, I believe the rejection letter came with an Officers Decision note (ODN) this should have stated the exact reason for the denial — not just a generic reason e.g Financials. You can use the ODN note to sort out the next application. However if it's not detailed enough, you could request the GCMS note before reapplying.

Secondly. Was your spouse a dependant in your application?.

Also, ensure your LOE captures the financials very thoroughly during the next submission. I believe it'll be positive next time.

Just to ask, did you get request for medicals before rejection? Or you did upfront medicals?
