Good morning everyone.

Trust all is keeping safe.

Still about passport renewal at the Nigerian High Commission London. I applied for passport renewal on the 24th of August. On one hand, information on the website says backlog of applications fron March to August will be dealt with. While on the other hand, renewal will be strictly on appointment.

Since my application (and payment), I have not gotten any appointment date via text or email as promised on the website and I am thinking on going to London next week since covid cases have started to increase and want to avoid any possible lockdown situation.

Please, I want to know if anyone is in the same predicament or have recently collected a new passport.

Kind Regards.

So, I have been a loyal fan of Fifa since 2008 and I have bought every edition. I have never considered PES.

Fast forward to last week when I got bored of Fifa 20 and decided to see what PES 20 had to offer. I can tell you that I haven't touched any game since then. Once I get back from work, straight to PES 20 grin. The presentation of PES 20 as well as the master league giving you the ability to buy & sell players. The game play is much more fluid/realistic and even comes across as a simulator.

The only drawback of PES 20 is the lack of licensed clubs and leagues.

I will not be buying fifa edition this year for the first time since 2008 and I will be moving over to PES.

Team PES cool.

Please, did you purchase the £100 postal order at the high commision or would they accept postal orders from any post office.

Kind Regards.

Good afternoon all and happy new month.

For those of us who are residing in the UK and want to renew their passport post-locdown (including myself), it appears the Nigerian High Commission in London is opened. Following the eid celebrations the commission would be opened at regular hours based on the information on the website.

The only thing is that there is no further information regarding allocation of appointment dates to those who are applying after the lockdown restrictions were lifted. It would be worthwhile to physically check at the office for more information if you are living close to London.

Cheers.

The most annoying thing with the Nigerian High Commission in London is that they do not respond to phone cals and emails. A week ago, I sent an email trying to verify passport renewal appointments, but the email bounced back to sender.

I mean, customer service is an integral part of any establishment and this is something we are still struglling with cry.

Hello.

Many thanks for your response, but this is the only information available on the website. Besides, the information is for collections not for biometric capture, also collections for those that intend to apply after lockdown is not given. The phone lines are not working and the email address (passport@nigeriahc.org.uk) does not seem to be working as my message was returned immediately to the sender.

A friend that applied before the lockdown received this text from them this morning.

COLLECTION OF PASSPORTS EFFECTIVE FROM 06TH OF JULY, 2020
Applicants should note the following collection roster:
? January - March, 2020: Every Monday and Tuesday between 10:00am and 12:00pm.
? April - June, 2020: Every Wednesday and Thursday between 10:00am and 12:00pm
? Other collections before lockdown: Every Friday between 10:00am and 12:00pm
*Applicants are reminded to come with their collection slips and expired passport*[/quote]

Hello everyone.

Please, regarding passport renewal at the Nigerian High Commission London, are people who did not apply for passport renewal before lockdown allowed to apply?

According to the information available on the website, renewal has only commenced for those that applied prior to lockdown in order to clear the backlog of applications.

Currently reside in Swansea and would not want to be refused upon arrival.

Kind Regards,

Hello Everyone.

I hope all is well and keeping safe. I am new to nairaland and currently reside & work in Swansea, Wales. I work at Swansea University Medical School as my post-doctoral research is focused on gynecology oncology. I initially came to the UK in 2011 for my master's degree. I have been living here since 2018 but would be hoping to relocate to London sometime next year. I joined mainly to network and meet new people. Wondering if there is anyone living around the proximity of Bristol, Cardiff.

Cheers grin
