Please i need your contribution on my present situation here in Canada

I'm presently on study visa here in Canada, I started class January 8 and done with my first semester in April 2024, and things are very tough and hard that i couldn't be able to pay my second semester. Then i wrote school that i need a study leave due to circumstance I'm facing back home and here in Canada and i was giving a study leave for one semester.

After the study leave for a semester is completed i cant still afford to pay my school fees..

Now my question is that can i change my school from public college to a private? in other for me to retain my status and after I'm done with the private school then i can apply for another study permit inside Canada to continue my study in public college

I hope this wont have any effect if i want to apply for my study visa extension ?

Note: I just gotten a job since last year December

Please i need your advise on this
It may be hard to sell because you will need account to apply for the new school, but you can try your luck. It might be better for you to register for winter in the public college, even with loan (credit card, line or credit, 9ja bank loan, or others), and proceed. Saving or loan for next semester should be easier since you have started working. You just need to do the minimum course to be a full time student. In some schools, it is usually only 9 units, 3 courses that fulfill that requirement. This will help you to reduce your winter tuition and you can combine your savings and loan to pay to it. All the best.

Please, can someone who recently submitted their passport at the VFS Lagos office without booking an appointment share details on how they were able to submit it?
No booking. Just walk in with passport, letter from IRCC, slip they gave you during biometric, and like 5k naira for sms notification payment.

Wow that was really fast. Please walk me through how you applied? Any ideas that might help?
Part of it is luck, and part of it is grace. My sponsor is my sibling (same surname), a Canadian. He has been supporting me financially for sometime with evidence in my bank account (5 months MyBankStatement and Statement of account submitted). He paid my tuition deposit and transferred money to my 9ja account to support my visa. My closing balance was less than 5m naira (no huge deposit except about 1m naira from my sponsor). I did upfront medical to potentially reduce the processing time because I was worried the program start date is near (Jan 2025).

My sponsor ensured the money in his Canadian account could cover my tuition and living expenses for the whole program (not 1 year) and still has about C$15k remaining. There was no huge deposit in his account, just his normal salary (five months statement submitted). His yearly income is about 4x my one year tuition and living expenses (employment document and payslips submitted).

I really was not expecting it to be this fast as the processing time have been increasing lately and I completed biometrics two weeks ago. I know people that applied before me with College Diploma admission and are still waiting, but I don't think the admission type matter and could count against an application. I was probably lucky with the processing time and result. I am grateful to God and doesn't take for granted the priviledge I have with my sponsor's profile and the direct relationship we share.

Congrats 👏🏿. I think you can walk into their office to submit. Just go with the slip they gave you when you did your biometrics.
I thought that too but want to make sure I am not missing anything. Thanks!

Please what is the process to submit passport at Lagos VFS? Do I have to book an appointment? Their system says no booking available for passport submission. Thanks.
