MRS Diezani Alison-Madueke, former Minister of Petroleum, visited the Charing Cross Police Station in London, United Kingdom, on Thursday, according to TVC.
According to TheCable, The former minister was detained at the station in October when the UK National Crime Agency arrested her on suspicions of bribery and money laundering.
The Westminster magistrates’ court later granted her bail, but seized her passport while she was asked to report at the station on October 5 but she did not.
The court seized £27, 000 from her, while the agency applied for three separate cash detentions in the names of Diezani, Beatrice Agama (her mother) and Melanie Spencer, a Swiss national.
During her ordeal in the UK, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) carried out a search on her Asokoro, Abuja, residence.
A senior security source had informed TheCable that the raid yielded vital information that would help in the multinational investigation of one of the most powerful people in the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
“The raid on her Asokoro residence yielded vital information that will help in the prosecution of the case,” the source said, adding that “many agencies across several countries are involved in the investigation. Anti-money laundering agencies in Austria, France, Switzerland, Nigeria and UK are working together on it.”

Idris Wada Thursday announced plans to name an “edifice in the state” after one of his former predecessors and All Progressives Congress Candidate (APC) in the November 21, 2015 Kogi governorship election, late Prince Audu Abubakar.

Audu, the first democratically elected governor of Kogi, died barely 24 hours after voting, and on the edge of being declared winner.

Wada during an address on his stewardship Thursday in Lokoja, said he will announce the edifice to be named after Audu, before handing over to the newly elected governor, on January 27.

The federal government has given the direction it will take to run the economy in 2016.

According to the federal government, it will fully implement the 2016 budget so as to recover from the slowing GDP growth and to forestall the remote possibility of recession.

A statement from the Ministry of Finance Thursday said the Minister of Finance Mrs. Kemi Adeosun made the declaration in an article she wrote.

According to the statement, the finance minister noted that the focus of the current administration is to stimulate the economy and achieve a real GDP growth rate of 4.2 per cent by the implementation of the draft 2016 budget.

Adeosun added that “the administration is also determined to reduce the cost of governance, extract efficiencies in public service and enhance revenue collections. The administration plans to increase government expenditure on infrastructure i.e. Transport, Roads, Housing and Power with a view to achieving a substantial increase in gross capital

The National Security Adviser (NSA) Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd), Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mohammed Musa Bello as well as the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Godwin Emefiele are to appear before a House of Representatives panel over a contract for the provision of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) in Abuja and Lagos.
The $470m CCTV contract was awarded to ZTE Corporation, a Chinese company, by the immediate past government of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The contract that could not be executed was for the purpose of security in Abuja and Lagos.
