John Paul Jones DeJoria is an entrepreneur and philanthropist; who is well known for his Paul Mitchell hair products. He is also the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Patron Spirits Company. The billionaire has a net worth of $4 billion.

DeJoria was born on 13th April 1944 in Echo Park, Los Angeles, California. His parents got divorced when he was two and at nine years of age he was selling newspapers and cards in order to support his family. DeJoria attended Atwater Elementary and then John Marshall High School. His mother could not support both her children so she had to send them to a foster home. As a teenager he got involved in some street gang activities but he decided to change his path after being advised by a teacher at school. In 1962 after he graduated from high school, he joined the Navy where he spent two years.

To make ends meet DeJoria did many jobs including being a janitor to selling insurance. He got a job at Redken Laboratories and this was the beginning of his entrepreneurial success. He was eventually fired from this job after a disagreement over some of the business policies. He co-founded John Paul Mitchell Systems with the hairdresser Paul Mitchell in 1980. He took a loan of 700 dollars for the start-up. John Paul DeJoria also owns seventy percent of The Patrons Spirits Company which is a world famous tequila brand. He co-founded the company in 1989. It sold more than 2,450,000 cases in 2011. He is also a founding member of the nightclub chain House of Blues and has interests in Ultimat Vodka, Pyrat Rum, Sun King Solar, Solar Utility, Three Star Energy, Touchstone Natural Gas, Diamond Audio, ROK AMERICAS, John Paul Pet, a diamond company, J& Acquisitions LLC, Larson’s parent company, Triumph, Striper, a Harley-Davidson dealership, Carver and Marquis Yachts.

John Paul DeJoria is also an actor and producer in the film industry. He made an appearance in the 2008 comedy movie ‘You Don’t Mess with the Zohan’ and in ‘The Big Tease’ in which he played his former business partner Paul Mitchell. He also made an appearance in the season two of the TV series ‘Weeds’. He also acted and narrated in the television commercial of Patron in 2011. In 2012 he displayed his support of Captain Paul Watson of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society through a video release. DeJoria also supports Food4Africa. He joined Nelson Mandela in Africa to help feed more than seventeen thousand orphan children. His company Paul Mitchell also provided food for more than 400000 poor children.

This once homeless billionaire is today inducted in the esteemed Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans. His rule of life is ‘Success unshared is failure’ and this policy can be seen throughout his company. His employees are very happy to work with him. He has maintained such a friendly work environment and paychecks far more than what the market normally offers. Today the hero of this ‘rags to riches story’ has come a long way. He lives with his wife and six children in their Austin home.

7 Quick Tips On Using Perfume Oils

My love for perfume oils began in high school. I remember blending scents together to create something unique and special. Perfume oils are a wonderful addition to your scent collection. They’re portable and gentler on your skin, since they don’t contain alcohol. Another benefit, the oil will help moisturize your skin. Here are a few quick tips on how to get the most out your perfume oils.

1. Why choose a perfume oil over a fragrance oil? Perfume oils are more concentrated and will stay on your skin longer. Since they use rollerballs for application, you can control how much you use. Just remember less is more. You don’t want your scent to linger long after you’ve left a room.

2. Know your pulse points. Follow Coco Chanel’s advice and apply perfume oils wherever you want attention on your body. Your pulse points are best. They’re the places on your body where you can find a heartbeat. The warm spots that deserve a little attention.

On your wrist.

Inside the elbow.

The base of your neck.

In your cleavage. Be sure to apply this before you put on your clothes to avoid staining fabric.

Behind the knee. Perfect for when you’re wearing your favorite LBD.

Behind your ear. This is my favorite spot. Who doesn’t want a little attention there.

Wherever you apply your scent, a little swipe of the roller applicator is all you need.

3. Best time to apply. The best time to apply is when you’re fresh out of the shower and your skin is clean and damp. Apply an unscented moisturizer wherever you’re going to use your scent. This will make the oil last longer on your skin. You can also rub vaseline on your pulse points before applying a perfume oil.

4. Best way to apply. Always apply perfume oil before putting on your clothes. You want to keep the oil away from jewelry, clothing and any fabrics when applying. I learned that lesson the hard way a long time ago. A permanent stain on my favorite blouse was not pretty.

5. What not to do with your perfume oils. Never rub the oil into your skin. It won’t make the scent last longer and you’ll crush the structure of the fragrance. The scent will change and smell different. Definitely not something you want to happen.

6. Best way to store. Store your perfume oils in a cool place, never in direct sunlight.

7. Experiment with your perfume oils. As wonderful as it is to have a signature scent, don’t be afraid to mix it up a bit. Swipe on two different scents to create something new. I rotate my fragrances depending on the season, occasion or the mood I’m in. Enjoy!

5 Rules of Wearing Perfume Oil

1. Wear what you love.
As in life, so in perfume. Knowing who you are and what you love are the keys to joy in any moment and experience, and finding the right fragrance is no exception. Ask yourself questions: Do you like things clean and fresh? Dark and spicy? Floral or sweet? Find a fragrance that turns you on and those around you can feel it. Don’t wear something just because it was given as a gift or because it smelled great on your friend. It has to make your smile when you wear it.

2. Test before you commit by sampling first.
Body chemistry is the final ingredient in any fragrance. What smelled fabulous on your best friend may not work for you or on you; not even if it is your sister or your mother. We all have unique body chemistry, and what works on one may not be so fab on another. Sample first on your skin and give it at least 20 minutes, if not longer, to work with your body chemistry, and see if it makes you smile.

3. Don’t spray perfume in your hair unless its oil perfume.
This rule surprises me, since it’s the opposite of what I’ve heard or read so many times before. Many customers say that they spray their perfume in their hair to hold on to their fragrance all day long. Don’t do it! Most fragrances on the market that you spray are alcohol-based, and alcohol is drying to the hair. However, hair is a great scent carrier. It holds fragrance longer than your skin (your body heat burns your fragrance off your skin as you wear it). If you want to have your hair fabulously scented like your favorite scent dab a little of the pure oil version on your fingers and run them through your hair.

4. Layer it.
A great way to hold your scent all day long is to layer it. Body wash in the shower, body lotion or body oil to scent and moisturize, and then your pure oil at pulse points, and your eau de parfum for the finishing touch.

5. Change it up.
If you are a signature scent kind of girl or have a full-on fragrance wardrobe, then it can be fun and reflective of who you are to pair your fragrance to your mood or experiences. Ypu can alternate between a lighter fragrance for the day and a darker, spicier one at night or changing fragrances with the seasons. Your fragrance is the most powerful and memory-creating form of self-expression. Use it with intention, and enjoy the results.

Securing admission to study in the university is a dream possible for many students with the benefit of study and work opportunities. However, the high cost of tuition is a worrying factor. Hence, many students look out for part-time jobs in order to ensure that their studies are not affected due to lack of funds. This is a dilemma that many of our applicants have had to overcome. Unfortunately, there are different rules for differing countries regarding the issue of working while studying. When planning to study abroad, most students wish to work alongside their study as it helps them not just to gain experience but also to reimburse for their tuition and other costs. Below is a list of countries and their work permit rules for international students.

Study and Work in USA

You will require a student visa if you wish to study in a full-time program in the USA. There are two kinds of student visas available – ‘F’ and ‘M’ visas. The F-1 visa is for students entering the USA to pursue an academic program at an accredited college/university. At the end of the program, a degree, certificate or diploma should/must be awarded. Alternatively, the M-1 visa is granted to students in a non-academic, language or vocational program. F-1 students cannot work off-campus for the first year of study, but can seek on-campus employment. However, after the first year, international students with F-1 visa can seek off-campus employment. This must take the form of any of the following types of employment; -Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Optional Practical Training Extension (OPT). M-1 students can also seek employment but only upon completion of their studies. F-1 and M-1 can seek off-campus employment only in an area related to their course and they also require authorization from Designated School Official before starting work.

Study and Work in UK

Although international students are allowed to work in the UK, there are some students that are prohibited from working. Students who are in the UK on a Tier 4/students visa can get their visa stamped as ‘allowed to work’ but this has restrictions. There are various exceptions which need to be followed diligently by students. Once students have these stamps, there is no need to contact the Secretaries of State for Employment. International students are allowed to do vacation employment or part time employment. This involves 20 hours a week during term time and full time during vacations. If student applies for Tier 4 visa for a course below bachelor’s degree, then they can work only for 10 hours during term week. International students are also allowed to do Work Placement in Sandwich Courses. Sandwich courses are those courses where work placements are an integral part. Under such courses, work placement is approved by the University. However the work placement should not extend after the completion of course.

Two essential rules must be followed by students while seeking employment during study;
-Students cannot engage in self-employment, business or be available as a professional sportsperson or entertainer.

Muhammad Ali (born as Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.; January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016) was an American professional boxer, widely regarded as one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century.
