So who's more tolerant.

You are very wrong. I am advocating for an absolute democratic principle which must be followed and not based on religious lines
Then ask them why are they worried about candidates religion?. Why are only Christians that are always eager to go against Muslim candidates or any progressive ideas by muslims?. Doesn't Tinubu has the right to candidate of his choice regardless of religion?. If they aren't religious bigots why are they worried about Muslim-Muslim ticket?.

Look at local issues such as hijab and mission schools. They are the ones that are causing trouble. Is it not clear they are anti democratic system?

it is clear that Christians are very problematic for Nigeria. They can easily pick other party to vote for our create their own Christian party

I repeat:
Figures and statistics can be used deceptively.
Empir.ee is trying to appeal to emotions. Just like those who cry blasphemy and without trial or due process get others to murder without a just cause.

Why are the figures the way they are? He has not explained that. What are the demographics of the states? He hasn't shown us.
BUT he is hoping that without giving people more details emotions will be swayed to his side. Deceit and deception means nothing to him. The end justifies the means. He wants to be able to tell Allah " I fought your battles for you”

Empir.ee, show us Islam's position on tolerance of others and the matter will be settled. Is that so difficult? You can use Prophet Google (peace be upon him).
tell us why you guys keep screaming islamisation?. Are you saying those areas with majority Christians are actually lots more Muslims there?. Is that what you wish for?

Trottle:

Jazakhumullah for this Ya Shekih. But I have some ensuing observations.

From the video above, it can be deduced THAT Nabi Isa (A) is not coming back...

However I have some grey areas I'd like that you should help clarify. Following your last discussions on this topic few threads back, is it safe to say that:

1. Both Dajjal and Yajuj wa Majuj will be dealt with by Allah only through Imam Mahdi (A)? Because I also believe
knowledge increases with findings inside Qur'an itself. But what I would not do is to vehemently condemn different opinions.

Since childhood I have heard conflicting reports about whether Isa (as) is Mahdi (as) and vis-a-vis until over 15 years ago when I started reading those aHadith myself that I realized Isa and madhi are two different entities.

So for me, both Dajjal and yajuj wa majuj will appear or yajuj wa majuj are already on the surface on the earth at the moment as clearly analyzed by Sheikh Imran Hussein. I don't have much dispute about this and I am not really concerned about them. Allah Himself is capable of destroying them either through Muslim army or He himself will get the job done.

2. During the Persecution of Nabi Isa by Rum then, did he in any way died during or after the persecution?
No he did not die as a result of persecution. Quran is very clear when it says, "they killed him not nor crucified him". This Ayah is very clear. If anyone says Jesus was killed by them this is kufr. But those who believe Jesus had died they didn't say he was killed. Rather, they say Allah himself took his soul based on several other evidences in the Quran.

For instance, Q3:144, Q16:21-22

There is also Hadith which says, the Jews and the Nassara took the graves of their prophets as places of worship. Question is, who was the prophet of Nassara?.

3. Would we in anyway have alliance with the Christians during these end times?
What does Q5:82 speak about when it says: "You will surely find the most bitter towards the believers to be the Jews and polytheists and the most gracious to be those who call themselves Christian. That is because there are priests and monks among them and because they are not arrogant".

Thanks....
there is no doubt about this Ayah and related Hadith. As you can see, look around your neighborhood, are all the Christians hate the Islam)Muslims?. No. Christian Association Of Nigeria is a Zionist organization. They hate Islam/Muslims with passion but still you see some pastors are against them. Example was Wike( anti-lslam) and Uzor Kalu who said there is nothing wrong with being Muslim. If there is going to be alliance in the end time at the macro level, we can't force it. Alliance will natural come by. But Sheikh Imran Hussein is forcing it. I told him several times.

Not all the tafsir are accurate. Sometimes we tend to take tafsir hook line and sinker without thinking about their consequences sometimes. Let me give you one dangerous tafsir of Ibn Kathie(ra) of sura Yasin verses 13:19. Ibn Kathir said the messanger of Allāh in the verse was Paul (founder of Christianity). Please go and read commentary of these Ayah. Christians now use it against Muslim comparators that we condemn Paul but Qur'an says Paul was Allaah's messanger sent by Jesus. This is clearly Bible verse in the book of Acts of Apostle shocked

Travel / Re: Why Do African Brothers Abroad Discourage Others From Moving Abroad Too? by Empiree: 3:10pm On Jul 15, 2022
krissconnect:
These past weeks, I've been reaching out to my friends who are abroad to help me with links or advices to move abroad too. But I discovered that none of them decided to help, instead they discouraged me either by saying, "it's difficult to move now or the country isn't issuing visa now".

One of my guy in CANADA defiantly ignored my text when I asked him for links or the route he used to move, the other in Korea said the country isn't issuing visa now but he recently moved back and another directly said that it's very hard to get visas now to travel. But one Asian American in the States gave me lots of links to move to the State and even encouraged me to move.

But then I don't understand why our African brothers over there will never encourage or advice someone willing to move. Is it envy or greediness or what? I've never had any of my guy abroad encourage me to move when I asked for advice. If things are difficult over there, why not come home?

NB: I never asked them for fund cos the money is available.
why do you need anyone to give you link when you can easily get what you want on the internet?. And one of the many reasons they are reluctant is they don't want anyone to burden them which is true. You have no idea what people go through outside Nigeria. You don't know how they live. So please stop unnecessary nagging. You can get what you want on social media.

I have received visitors from nija in the past and some of them are bad experiences. Some of them came here and started preaching Jesus to me and my neighbors. I honestly don't blame anyone who refuses to welcome visitors and other thing is how visitors get you in trouble if care is not taken. As for jobs, I have no problem showing folks how to get job but I can never welcome visitors from Nigeria again.

So if you want to travel, have your own resources and get yourself well informed and stop nagging. No one is responsible for you or discourage you. Western world is another setting entirely especially if you never had experience with bill payments. So you wanna become burden on someone?. So I don't get why you need someone to give you link when you can easily get them on social media.

It's usual for followers of Tales from Arabia to attack the person rather than present facts!

Ibn Umar reported Allah’s messenger as saying that a non-Muslim eats in seven intestines whereas a Muslim eats in one intestine. (Sahih Muslim, No. 5113)

“Narrated (Abu Huraira): The prophet said, ‘If a housefly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease.’”

Like it's usually said, "Talk is cheap".
Figures and statistics can be used deceptively. So it depends on who is using them. Also, anybody can SIGN any document or be said to purportedly sign a document just to draw sympathy to a position or cause.

For example, I can pick Kwara state, disregard every demographic data, and claim that there since the current civilian dispensation no Christian has been elected governor therefore there is no equity, justice, and fairness in Kwara state. Is the state saying that there is no worthy Christian to lead the state? The questions can go on and on.

Tolerance of intolerance starts from how a person or a people or a group THINKS. Not just the outward expressions.

As a religion is Islam IN ITS TENETS tolerant of other religions? That is the ’Koko’ of the matter. When an adherent of Islam claims that he is for 'peace' with other people what we should look at is, does he have his own rulebook for 'peace' or is it according to his religion's position. The Moslem like empiree, have to show us first that their tenets advocate the TOLERANCE of other religions. The Moslem have to show us how in practical terms this has been shown IN PLACES WHERE THEY ARE IN MAJORITY. Not one-off isolated cases where perhaps propaganda was at play. At the end of the day, emp.iree knows deep within him that what he claims to be intolerance by Christians is actually his projection of the position of Islam and Moslems and himself on Christianity.

Truly he Who Calls for Equity must come with Clean Hands. Can empi.reee claim that he is coming with clean hands?

Trajectory of CAN Elected Presidents from inception to date - Dominic Cardinal

(1). Ekandem (late) from 1976 till 1986.

(2). Anthony Cardinal Okogie from 1988 till 1995.

(3). Prelate Sunday Mbang from 1994 till 2003.

(4). Primate Jasper Akinola from 2003 till 2007.

(5). Archbishop John Onaiyekan from 2007 till 2010.

(6). Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor from 2010 till 2016.

(7). And the current president.... Reverend (Dr) Samson Ayokunle, who was elected in 2016.

Does it mean CAN as a body of Christ did not see any Northern Christian qualified to be the Association's President since 1976 to date ?

Why the predominance by Southern Christians....?

Does this imply that the northern Christian are less Christians or is it because they are in minority in northern Nigeria.

Are they also minority in the Christian family in Nigeria?

This is amazing as Equity, justice and fairness is not playing in CAN.

Yet Can is promising Fire and Brimstone against APC for not finding a Christian Northerner to be VP Candidate....when they could not find a worthy Northern Christian to lead their Association for 42 years now....

He Who Calls for Equity must come with Clean Hands.

The issue of Religious Bigotry did not start from the North

Let's go back to 1962, when a Northern Muslim, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa registered Nigeria as a member of the World Council of Churches and International Bible Society in 1963, no complain from the Muslim North.

Saturday was a working day in Nigeria until 1973, Gowon, a Christian minority from the North declared it a work free day, to enable the Seventh Day Adventist Church to worship, no complain from the Muslim North.

In February 1979, Olusegun Obasanjo denied Ahmed Deedat, an Islamic Preacher, entry into Nigeria, no complain from the Muslim North.

In 1982 pope John Paul II was welcomed to Nigeria by a Muslim, Alhaji Shehu Shagari.

Reinhart Bonke, a Christian Crusader, had a free enterance to Nigeria at will, no complain.

Abacha welcomed Pope John Paul and established Papal Square along Kubwa express way, no complain from Muslims.

But in 1986 when Babangida registered Nigeria as a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) there was a riot in Lagos, Portharcout, Enugu, orchestrated and organised by CAN.

Pls who are the Religious Bigots?

Just recently, the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs distanced itself from all kinds of politics, but what about CAN?

In 2013, a Private Jet belonging to the CAN President was intercepted in South Africa loaded with foreign currency, imagine it belonged to the Sultan?

So people of God, let's ask ourselves who are the real Religious Bigots before make another major mistake as a people.

PRESS RELEASE:

TINUBU-SHETTIMA TICKET: ADDRESS THE CANDIDATE, NOT HIS CREED – MURIC

The Christian Association of Nigeria has threatened to escalate the situation in the country over the choice of a Muslim running mate by the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. It will be recalled that the APC torch bearer picked former governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, as his vice presidential candidate.

But in a swift reaction, an Islamic human rights advocacy group, the Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC), has accused CAN of heating up the polity with its comment on Tinubu’s choice of a running mate. MURIC wants CAN to address the candidate, not his creed.

MURIC’s response was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, 12th July, 2022, by the group’s director, Professor Ishaq Akintola.

The group said:

“The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has come again. As usual, Muslim candidates for the 2023 presidential election are its targets. This time around it is Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate. Tinubu is under CAN’s hammer for picking a Muslim, Senator Kashim Shettima, as his vice presidential candidate and Rev. John Hayab of Kaduna state chapter of the organization is the axe man for CAN.

“We are not surprised by CAN’s verbal halitosis over Tinubu’s choice. The Christian umbrella body is just staying in character. It is always out to oppose any Muslim in power or any Muslim seeking office. That is because CAN will never be satisfied with a Muslim as president of Nigeria. It will not suit its agenda of Nigeria for Christ.

“CAN is simply hungry for power. We know CAN. The group has been canvassing for a Christian running mate not for the benefit of Nigerians but for parochial ends. The idea is to milk the Christian vice presidential candidate if his party wins in the end by claiming that the Christian umbrella body fought for him. It is for political influence, for contracts and for power. We advise CAN to form its own political party.

“Democracy is a game of numbers and every candidate should be allowed to make a free choice. It is not written in the constitution that a candidate must not pick a running mate from his own religious group. Every candidate’s choice is at his own peril. So what’s the big deal? What is CAN afraid of? Its own shadow, of course.

“Nigerians should not allow themselves to be deceived by CAN’s spiritual banditry. We should be looking at a candidate’s pedigree, his integrity and competence. By the same token, a presidential candidate should look for a running mate who has electoral value as well as the relevant experience. CAN’s insistence on Muslim-Christian ticket is motivated by articulated religiousity and tramadolised spirituality. Candidates should not be assessed by their religion.

“CAN talks about fairness and balancing at the national level but ignores the gross lopsidedness in the Christian-Christian regimes of the whole South. Is CAN unaware that all but one of the 17 states in Southern Nigeria have Christian governors? That is 94% for Christians and just 6% for Muslims.

“There are only three (3) Muslim deputy governors in the whole Southern Nigeria (Lagos, Ogun and Oyo) as against fourteen (14) Christian deputy governors. That is 82% for Christians and 18% for Muslims. Ekiti and Ondo states with substantive Muslim population have Christian governors and Christian deputies. This life is give and take. The world goes round by giving and sharing. But why does CAN want to share by force when it is not prepared to give?

“Nigeria has 36 states. Of these, Christian governors are 20 while Muslim governors are just 16. That is 56% for Christians and a paltry 44% for Muslims. Yet CAN is not satisfied and the organisation will always cry ‘marginalisation’ when in actual fact it is taking all the milk and honey in the land. We are waiting for CAN to deny this 20 by 16 computation. But CAN cannot. It dares not because the facts are there, and facts are sacred. Are United States’ senators listening? Is Kukah still there?

“There are 22 Christian deputy governors in Nigeria as against 14 Muslim deputy governors. Mathematicians should put that together and work out the percentage. That is 61% for Christians and just 39% for Muslims. So what is CAN talking about?

“CAN’s charity does not begin at home. That is why it is making so much noise about a Muslim-Muslim ticket at the centre? CAN is not ready to share in the states but it wants to force sharing down our throats at the centre. Is that not double standard? Must CAN take everything?

“Can is simply hungry for power and it is always seeking ways to railroad everyone to have its own way. Bulldozing, blackmailing, harassment and intimidation are CAN’s stock in trade. But the same intimidating CAN is now the one accusing Tinubu of intimidating the Christian group and threatening to escalate the situation.

“Hear Rev. John Hayab, ‘We’ll escalate this issue because our call for fairness and the balancing of the presidential ticket for the sake of justice, unity and fairness apparently fell on deaf ears (https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/07/muslim-muslim-ticket-we-cant-be-intimidated-can-tells-tinubu-over-choice-of-shettima-as-running-mate/).

“We are of the opinion that we do not have to sound like bandits before we can make our points, and that is if there is any pointable point at all. Unfortunately CAN is not making any point here. All we see here is a threat. This is too pedestrian. It is jejune. What kind of ‘escalation’ is CAN threatening? We warn that nothing must happen to Tinubu. Shettima must not disappear.

“We warn CAN to leave Tinubu alone. MURIC will respond phrase for phrase and innuendo for innuendo whenever CAN attacks Tinubu or Shettima based on their religion. However, we have no business with references to their party or other official issues. We have no scintilla of doubt that both Tinubu and his running mate, including their political party, have competent officials capable of giving adequate response to political mudslings.

“CAN should stop all references to the religion of Tinubu. Islam is not contesting, Tinubu is. CAN should look beyond religion and focus on Tinubu’s pedigree. The Christian umbrella body will have MURIC to reckon with each time it throws dirt on Tinubu’s religion. Stop heating the polity. Address the candidate, not his creed.”
