I suppose one of the unfortunate things anyone can do is to "underestimate" the enemy while mis-focusing attention to fears that do not eventually amount to much. Israel seriously "underestimated" Hamas for so many years who were busy pretending to be "deterred" while seriously paying attention to Hezbollah to the North believing the next attack would emrge from there.

The consequences of all that? October 7th happened and they were seriously deceived by Hamas' mickey-mouse army pretending to be truly deterred. They have seriously learned their lessons to never underestimate anyone anymore. The only reason why Gaza is still of concern is the presence of the Hostages hidden somewhere. All those tunnels would have been blown up to oblivioun by now.

My point is, by paying too much attention to Lebanon and preparing for so many years, they were able to strategically cripple Hezbollah's military capacity in just over two weeks.

Which ofcourse means that they also have been planning ahead (with or without US support) for a potential attack on Iran. Ryan McBride an American war analyst in his Youtube channel outlined the potential ways Israel could strike Iran without US help.

I trust that the Israeli's are monitoring McBride's channel and taking notes. I also expect the Iranians to be also following McBride's channel and taking notes. And I do expect Israel to defy the impossible and attack in the least expected ways.
