Nobody took the land from the Jews. Historically and religiously according to their own record, the Israelites (call them Jews if you wish), violated God's Commandments and God Himself expelled them from the Holy Land and scattered them amongst others. Speaking of Ottoman Empires, Ottoman did not expell or give the land to strangers. Rather, Ottoman Empire adopted democratic system by unifying Arabs and Jews in one land until early 20th century. So their are different Jews in Israel but the most famous ones are in control on Israel known as Ashkenazi Jews (European). There are other Jews in Israel that are historically connected to the land such as Sephardic, Yezidi Jews etc. These Jews are treated as second class citizens of Israel unlike European ones.
