No wonder Akpabio refused to subject his own family to the sorry mess he created in his own state and instead moved his precious family to Lagos state..

Kairoseki77: This man has already been President for four and a half years. He will be in office for a total of ten years if he survives till 2019.

The only accomplishment till date is a run down airport that doesn't measure up to a Thai bus terminal and I am supposed to hail this man?

Thank god for my governor, or I would willingly go hug a transformer to escape this shame.

By 2050, we will have over 300 million people in small Nigeria. If the only thing we have to show by then is a few more airports and 3MW of electricity, our children will kill us.

Politics › Re: If NIGERIA Was To Divide Which Region Will SUFFER Most by Enegito: 3:06pm On Sep 14, 2013
Donmichaelz: These is not to create any dis-unity amongs us.I have heard people say the NORTHERNERS(Hausa's) but what they fail to realise is Hausa's are the best farmers in Nigeria. Some say it is the SOUTH WEST(Yorubas),which I don't and will never belive because they have the most peaceful environment in Nigeria and where there is peace there is Growth.

To Me the SOUTH EAST(igbo's) will suffer most, not because they are nt hard working but because of they can't survive without others,go to every market in nigeria and half the people there are igbos imagine if the country divides and everybody returns Home, most igbos will never survive in their own environment (eg imagine 50 fake chemist on 1 street or 30 substandard shops selling baby food)

Note;- I don't hate iGBO's I just don't trust them

What about You which region will suffer Most?
no problem i agree wit u but why do u fool from north and west refuse to allow us to go anytime we shouted biafra.plz answer this, can you stay with people you dnt like?give us our five state tank God we now have oil in imo, abia, anambra.soon ebonyi nd enugu we follow.pls we beg you give us dis five states nd take nigeria we nva need nigeria and we nva need it.tankx

Crime › Re: Casket Seller ‘kidnaps’ Self, Demands N2m Ranson From Brothers by Enegito: 9:33am On Sep 02, 2013
Angelica Divine: ENUGU — Kidnapping for ransom which has remained the quickest means of making money among criminals within the South-East zone has taken a new dimension as some dubious people now hide under the evil practice to dupe their wealthy relations.

One Samuel Ani, a casket (coffin) dealer from Ugwuaji community in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State was arrested by operatives of Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Enugu State Police Command, weekend, for attempting to dupe his brothers of N2 million under the guise that he was abducted by kidnappers.

Ani, whose coffin shop is at Garki, Awkunanaw area of Enugu, allegedly hid himself in a bush behind his shop for six days and alerted his brothers that he was in a kidnappers’ den.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the arrest, yesterday, said the suspect “never knew that his sin shall find him.”

He said: “Samuel Ani hid himself in a bush behind his shop for six days from where he was making phone calls to his two younger brothers in a very convincing tone that he had been abducted and that N2 million was required to get him out of the kidnappers’ den or else he would be killed.

”Following this, the case was reported to the state police command who mobilised its anti-kidnapping unit to rescue the victim. When Samuel intensified his call that the purported kidnappers were on the verge of killing him if his people could not bring the ransom, he later reduced the ransom to N1.2 million.

“Some money was then deposited into the account number provided by the purported kidnappers and a certain girl who went to cash the initial N100,000 sent through one of the new generation banks around Agbani Road on August 29, 2013 was arrested by the operatives.

”The girl was identified as one Oluchi Faith Ogbu from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of the state and a fiancee to Samuel Ani.

“When interrogated, Oluchi Faith Ogbu said that the account belongs to her but was instructed by Samuel to supply the account number so that his brothers can pay the ransom via the account and that she was to cash it as soon as she receives alert of the payment and bring it to him.”

The police spokesman said Oluchi’s confession, however, led to the arrest of Samuel, who said he was not kidnapped but maintained that he kidnapped himself so that his wealthy younger brothers could pay ransom which he would use to sort out his business dealings.

He said apart from the trick he adopted, nothing would make his brothers give him any monetary assistance even though he regretted his actions.

Ani admitted that the step he took was not good in the sight of God, man or law and pleaded for forgiveness.

He said he is a father of five children but never revealed to Oluchi that he was married as he had promised to marry her.

Asked if he was not making ends meet from the construction and sale of coffins, Ani said he made low sales, and that he decided to trick the brothers to get money from them to address his immediate challenges which required huge amount of money.

Amaraizu said Oluchi and Ani had been detained while investigations into the ugly incident had commenced.

REHOZIBAH: Arewa forum backs call for sack of NPC Chairman Premium Times

SOURCE: http:///hY6rt5wLg7

The Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, on Thursday urged the Federal Government not to allow the Chairman of the National Population Commission, NPC, Festus Odimegwu, to conduct the 2016 census.

The call was contained in a communiqué signed by the ACF’s National Publicity Secretary, Anthony Sani, and made available to journalists in Kaduna.

The communiqué was issued after a meeting between the leadership of the forum and the Presidential Committee on Peace and Dialogue.

“ACF appeals to the Federal Government to reconsider its decision to allow the 2016 census under the watch of Chief Festus Odimegwu, for obvious reasons,” the statement read.

The forum also supported the query issued to the NPC chairman by the federal government.

“The meeting noted with delight, the query which the federal government has issued Chief Odimegwu for discrediting past censuses, considering the sensitive nature of census exercise not only in Nigeria but across the globe.”

The communiqué emphasised that the ACF “is not opposed to improvement of management practices that could produce acceptable census needed for planning of socio-economic and political development of the country.”
It said however that it would be unacceptable to describe the censuses as manipulated in favour of a section of the country.

The ACF canvassed support for the committee on dialogue with the Boko Haram, saying the ACF members were fullybriefed on the progress made by the committee to bring an end to “the unsavoury activities of the insurgents.”

“To that end, ACF appeals to all patriotic groups, individuals and the general public to support the federal government’s efforts in this regard,” the group said.
