@1andonly: you need not fret over the outcome of the visa application, all you can is to trust God to play God as you have done all you can as a human being. You know, optimism helps a lot. Best of luck bro! See you in Barcelona come December, 2015. smiley

Tnx @1andonly for starting this thread. Please i need you to guide me with my spanish visa application. I have been awarded an Erasmus scholarship for MSc in Forensic science and wish to start the visa application from the 15th of June. After going through your posts, Please I need answers to these questions:
1. I am presently in Awka, would you advise me to proceed straight to Lagos or to Abuja from my base since the application process cuts across these two locations

2. As I am an MSc applicant is there any need for the WAEC documentation as section 3b of the requirements from the spanish consulate added in parenthesis that BSc cert is needed for MSc applicants, I guess WAEC should be for Undergrad studies. Just dont want to go through the rigors of the WAEC authentication all for nothing.
3.a.- Original WAEC Statement of Result forwarded to the Embassy by WAEC.
b.- Original First Degree Certificate (if going for a Masters’ degree)
c.- Masters Degree Certificate (if going for a Ph.D. degree)

3. Where is the location for the verification of documents? Ministry of Foreign affairs and ministry of Education, in Abuja perhaps?

4. The spanish translator you recommended are they the official translators given to you at the Spanish consulate? Also what is their rate for translation (total costs, I guess mine and yours should be the same number of documents) and how long it took for you to get it.

5. Finally, is there any specific hospital recommended by the consulate?

6. Excluding Insurance cover, overall, whats the cost for the whole visa application process.

Thanks once again, hope to see you in Barcelona when I visit there for Xmas break. My school is University of Cordoba and am gonna start the programme on the 7th of September. Best of luck!

xup buddies? its been awhile since I entered this room. I will advice you to seek other scholarship opportunities like chevening and erasmus mundus; commonwealth is cool, but the selection is executed by fsb whose credibility is not guaranteed. I have been offered a conditional admission with UCL for MSc in crime and forensic science: application fee(50 pounds) wit a Mastercard, No interviews, took approximately 8wks to get the offer. A little tip for u all is to make sure you have got some publications in order to compete favorably with other high profile international students for these prestigious awards. My take is that PRESSID should be the last option. Best of luck guys!

You can apply directly from the CSC EAS page and choose your nominating agency as FSB(MSc) and University(PhD). I heard the interview is on the 1st of December and do well to send a certified true copy of your transcript to FSB ASAP. Goodluck guys. However, the full details are still unavailable.
