2. A big shoutout to the midfield duo of McTom and Fred. They both covered a distance of 12km each yesterday night. McTom made it hard for Verratti and marked him out of the game and we saw a glimpse of the Fred we hoped for.

3. Ashely friggin Young is past it. For the early part of the game, he was always out of position. Gave Bailly no cover whatsoever - while Shaw held the LB down. Like garri Ijebu, he was solid and foiled attacks down his side-something Young couldn’t do one bit.

3. Dalot is a fantastic kid. His arrival blocked leakages on the right side and set Yoings brain straight. He also offered a lot offensively and complained to the referee after his shot was deflected in the final minutes. If he hadnt protested we wouldn’t have gotten the penalty.

4. Kudos to Smalling and Lindelof for pocketing Mbappe in turns. They matched his pace when it mattered and prevented him from dribbling them or having any sensible shot on target.

5. Big ups to De Gea for stopping Mbappe in his tracks at that crucial moment. Still the best.

6. Main man Lukaku!! 6 goals in 3 games!!! That hattrick is on the way, it’s just a matter of time.

Lukaku and Rashford can play together as a front 2 or in a front 3. Individually they still have to improve though.

7. OGS gotta get the job now. He knew Bailly was the weak link and subbed him before the end of the first half. He changed formation about 3 times in the game. He had a plan, executed it and got the results.
