The only thing i found right of all you have said is the access to land from government as a matter of fact i know of a government agency that collect as little as N2,500.00 to lease land for agriculture purpose but in at that if you dont have close to N70,000.00 forget about it when it comes to watermenlon platations.

Yea, learning how to cultivate tomatoes is what i am realy after now, cos i know 90% of the tomatoes sold and eating in Lagos is from the north, so i don't know if employing the Hausas to help with the planting, and besides, the Federal Government has banned the importation of tomatoes or any tomatoes related products, (ketchup et al). So it will be a good business to do for now, so also the other agricultural goods. So help us God.

There is a way out.
Employing an Hausa man is not a good idea because he will use the traditional planting method to cultivate your tomato which will not yield you good profit.
the bast is for you to know how to cultivate the tomato so that you know how to manage your farm properly. You will also know the right hybrids seed to plan that will yields you good profit.
I will start my training in September in Oyo state by God grace because I want to know in and out of tomato including marketing strategy.
the training is one month training.

price of onion per 100kg bag is N7500 without transport.
transporting onion from kebbi to Lagos range from N500 to N1500. This depends on how many bags you buy. if you buy plenty bags your transport fee will reduce to N500 per bags.

for example, If you are buying 10 bags your transport fee will be N1000 per bags. that N1000x10 = N10,000
