Career › Kanban In 60 Seconds by EnterpSkillsHub(op): 9:51pm On Apr 28
1/ Your backlog is a wish list. Your Kanban board is reality.
2/ WIP limits = the secret sauce. Too much in “In Progress” = nothing gets Done.
3/ It’s not about speed. It’s about smooth, predictable flow.

Excel isn’t just spreadsheets. It’s your data superpower.

Master formulas → Clean data → Analyze trends → Drive decisions.

VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP. SUMIFS, COUNTIFS. PivotTables that actually pivot.

Stop manual work. Start automating with logic.

Career › How A Trade Fair Vendor Can Use Excel To Track Stock And Stop Losing Money by EnterpSkillsHub(op): 10:24pm On Apr 20
If you sell physical products — from shoes in Wuse Market to recharge cards in Kubwa — this is for you.

The Problem:

Most small vendors track stock with a notebook. You sell 3 pieces of Item A, 5 of Item B.

By Saturday, you’ve forgotten.

Monday you order too much of Item B and Item A is out of stock. Money tied down, customers disappointed.

The Excel Fix:

Simple Stock Tracker with 3 Columns
You don’t need expensive software. Open Excel and do this:

Column A: Item Name – e.g. “Black Leather Shoe Size 42”

Column B: Opening Stock – How many you started with on Monday

Column C: Sold – Update this each time you sell

Column D: Closing Stock – Formula: =B2-C2

Drag that formula down. Now Excel auto-calculates what’s left. No maths, no guessing.

Try setting this up for just 5 of your best-selling items today. Screenshot your setup if you get stuck — I’ll help in the comments.

Career › 3 Mistakes Costing Nigerian Smes Money Every Month by EnterpSkillsHub(op): 11:11pm On Apr 18
Many Nigerian businesses waste hours every week on manual tasks that Excel can automate in minutes. Below are 3 mistakes many business owners make.

1. Adding Sales by Hand with a Calculator

You have 200 sales entries and you’re using your phone calculator to sum them up. One wrong tap and your whole day’s profit is off.

Fix: Click any cell in your sales column, press Alt + = and Excel gives you auto-sum instantly. 2 seconds vs 20 minutes.

2. Using Red Pen to Highlight Debtors

Printing your customer list and marking “owing” with a red biro? Then retyping it when someone pays?

Fix: Use Conditional Formatting. Highlight all customer names, go to Home → Conditional Formatting → Highlight Cells Rules → Text that Contains → type “Owing”. Excel will auto-color every debtor. When they pay and you delete “Owing”, the color disappears by itself.

3. Re-typing the Same States, Products, or Staff Names

If “Lagos” sometimes enters as “lagos”, “LAgos”, or “Lagos State”, your Pivot Table later will think you have 3 different states. That messes up your whole report.

Fix: Use Data Validation. Create a dropdown list so staff can only pick from correct options. No more typo, no more wrong reports.

Businesses can save 6–8 hours per week just by fixing these three. That’s one full working day back to focus on customers or rest.

In subsequent post I’ll share 3 more Excel tricks for inventory tracking.
