Look for a positive habit to gradually replace it with. Then slowly withdraw from gambling.

For instance, if you are fat, start forming habits to make you lose weight. Only gamble maybe a set of games that is worth maybe 1 percent of your income when you have lost 3kg of weight.

Or if you don't have muscle, start forming habits to make you gain muscles. Only gamble maybe a set of games that is worth maybe 1 percent of your income when you have gained 5 grams of muscle.

Or any other thing you want to achieve, start forming habits to make you achieve that thing. Only gamble maybe a set of games that is worth the least amount you can dash someone when you have gained a substantial number of that other positive habit.

I am a strong proponent that everything was created good and only gets bad when it is not used right including gambling. It's obvious you get pleasure from taking risks and identifying the root cause and dealing with it may be a long thing.

So instead of doing that, accept who you are, and reward yourself responsibly with gambling only when you have achieved a substantive feat in another positive habit and in a way that is not detrimental to you. That's more realistic and achievable.

So, what positive habits do you have in mind?
