Running a wholesale drinks store shouldn’t make you short-tempered or easily provoked or are all wholesale drinks store owners like that?

A woman who needed a flyer contacted me, she was referred to me by her son who was in the same department as me. (p.s my course mates all know me as the graphics designer)

She chatted me up and introduced herself, what she does and what she wanted.

“No problem,” I said and then asked for the details I needed for the flyer(as usual) which she did provide.

Afterwards I asked her for her logo because I was going to put it on the flyer, she told me she had none.

Told her I can’t design a flyer for you without a logo, “then design a logo too” she said.

I designed them both and sent them to her but I made a slight but deadly mistake,
I didn’t discuss the price before sending her the designs.

After viewing them, she was like “WOW!”, just wow”.
she actually loved the designs and so I simply told her the price.

Mood changed, she wasn’t ok with the price...

She thought the price was only for the flyer not including the logo.

I cleared her misunderstanding and after which I did, she became angry.

She said I should’ve told her from the start and after everything she paid only for the flyer.

I know I made a mistake-yes, but that doesn’t mean all my efforts should go to waste just like that.

Not every client will give you an easy time and smooth sailing(I learnt this the hard way),
some will just frustrate you and give you a hard time.

She never paid for the logo, just the flyer.

As John Obidi Said, If you want to leave your mark… nwanne GET READY FOR VIOLENCE, nothing is easy…

A lady I know in my department who was transferred a while back runs a kitchen - she sells small-chops and all that.

She needed a logo and flyer for her business and asked around.

I got wind of it and approached her, introduced myself - told her I’m a graphics designer and I could help her with the designs.

I got all the info I needed for the job thru WhatsApp and we agreed on the price.

It didn’t take time to come up with a logo which I designed on my phone and in[b] less than 45 minutes I WAS DONE![/b].

Told her I was done and she was surprised because she didn’t expect me to finish it that fast and she was also anxious to see the design.

I showed her the logo first and her expression got me excited to show her the flyer, she was like “whoa, this is nice. I love it, my money was not a waste”.

I proceeded to show her the flyer which she also loved.

Her review kept ringing in my head for a while and I was like “whoa, this is nice. I love it”(in my head on repeat all day…)

The money was good, yes…but, MHEN, that review was better sha

Now, back to the topic at hand. How do you cash out from what you already have? Your smartphone, your companion.

My phone has many advantages over my laptop,

I can’t carry my laptop at mid-night upside down doing only God knows what

I can’t chyke my bae 24/7 on my laptop,

I can’t lie down and comfortably watch movies on my laptop,

I will (probably) even take my phone to my grave. Yes I said it.
