Mariangeles: What would you have gained by that if you had become a teenage father? Did that stop you from having sex later on in life? Not really...If I had explored my sex fantasies earlier, much much younger, it would have been better. Now man just have to focus, and I'm kinda scared I might get addicted to it. It's better I become successful first. |

Psoul: In as much as this write up is well detailed and promoted modern medicine, saying that traditional way of curing snake bite showed shallow knowledge of our local traditional medicine practices that have existed over years.
Most of our modern medicines source our locals herbs and roots. Our fathers were blessed with knowledge of how to combine these herbs and roots to product potent cure for make ailments including snake bites.
I was bitten by Cobra at the age of 19. I nearly died. My leg became twice bigger with numbing feeling. I became weak, fragile and pale within few minutes.
When the local medicine was applied, I vomited even greenish stuff. I became calm and slept off. It took few days for the swollen leg to return to normal.
I survived the dangerous venomous snake bite. This is 36 years after the bite and no complications.
The pic below is the scar from the snake bite on my leg. Can you still remember the local medication applied, mind sharing it? |

yemre: Owerri is a beautiful city. I was in Owerri 6 months ago and I marvelled at the serenity and the beauty of the town itself. I was forced to question one ibo man sitting beside me that why do the easterners hate this guy so much but was surprised when he said that Hope was the only eastern governor associating with the evil party APC!
Then I said, if associating with evil APC has brought such development. Then, may he never associate with the good party! Hope associating with APC is not the problem, the problem is the man pays deaf ears to insecurities happening in the state. |

blaise26abj: Very valid question . I also thought about the wood used for burials if they are truly necessary . Because to me they are a waste of resources . I think most burial grounds are reusable after a while . Only the burial places of the high and mighty are kept for way longer . By the 2nd-3rd generation of most regular family , no one will truly care about what happened to the bones or even know the burial places . I don’t know where the burial place of my great great grandparents are. I doubt most people do . And that is what will happen to every one of us . In fact I am leaning more towards cremation when I pass . You are on point, I don't even know where my grandparents graves are. |

Almost every households, communities are doing this, it has become not only a habit but culture, for people burying the dead in their households.
There are designated places for burying the dead, like the cemetery, or graveyard. Some religious bodies or churches have burial grounds in their surroundings specifically for burying the dead.
What do you think make people prefer burying the dead in their houses or compounds?

davit: The yellow card is not really important though, if you use the right transporter like GUO. You need either valid passport or your NIN.
IT is better to change money at Togo boarder or Aflao when going. Other places are rip offs. If you have Cedis left over, it is better to get to Togo boarder before changing back to Naira. Speaking from experience.
Riding with GUO to Ghana has been my best experience travelling so far. No hassle on the roads. It is their driver that handled everything. They will even give you complimentary breakfast. Okay But how can one get the yellow card and what are the procedures in doing so? |

Family › Re: Generation Beta Begins This Year. by Erikiel(m): 10:58am On Jan 04, 2025 |
I agree 👍 naptu2: A generation is basically all the people born and living within a particular period of time.
Generations are usually categorised by signifcant events or things that are common to people born or living within this period of time, for example, in Nigeria, people talk about the Indomie Generation, by which they mean people that were fed with Indomie Noodles when they were babies or toddlers.
The generations listed on the first post are categorised based on major global events, for example, World War 2 was a major global conflict that affected nearly every single part of the planet. Nigerian soldiers fought in World War 2, as did soldiers from many countries around the world. Babies that were born immediately after World War 2 are called Baby Boomers.
The Gregorian Calendar is used in most countries around the world. A third millenium began (according to the Gregorian Calendar) in the Year 2000. People that became adults in or around the Year 2000 are known as Millenials. |
