ADAMS OSHIOMHOLE AND THE MURDER OF ACN'S INTERNAL PARTY'S DEMOCRACY...MY POSTMODERN CRITICISM IN RETROSPECT AND IN PROSPECT!!!

During the second term pre-election and election time, my postmodern self came under intense vilification by the sheepish cum bandwagonic Oshiomhole's halleluiah choristers for my deconstruction and relegation of ACN'S internal party democracy as being antithetical to the ingenuine cum deceptive 'one man one vote' rhetorics of Governor Oshiomhole...but its now obvious that my postmodern analectics cum dialectics wasn't in any bit wrong afterall- with current lamentations by those that previously vilified me for decrying what they are lamenting now...WHICH IS PREBENDALOCRACY!

Prebendalocracy can simply be defined in tandem with its eptymology as a government of the people by pre-selected anointed candidates...geared towards meeting the interest of their oligarchious anointers! With current realities of pejorative cum condenmable connotations that have trailed the pre-local government ACN PARTY PRIMARIES PROCESS thus far, it can unequivocally be adduced that ACN AS A POLITICAL PARTY IN THE STATE have murdered and sacrificed democracy on the highest altar of prebendalistic prebendalocracy...with the Machiavellian papacy cum episcopacy of the party in the state...secretly cum oligarchiously selecting and imposing their chairmanship choices on the overall alternate wishes of the grassroot people! The irony of this all is that this magnanimous cum Oshioquaking political corruption is reoccuring even at a time when the general public is looking at and hoping on ACN to lead the way into the people's aspired cum desired democratic apotheosis cum eldorado... and more shocking is also the fact that this contramonosmore cum peccatum contra naturam cum procedural ultraviresness is being overseen by a supposed apostle cum product of one man one one vote as supposedly validated by the long-celebrated RECENT 18/18 OSHIOQUAKE...oh...could this actually be a case of 'how art the mighty fallen' or that of 'an unfortunate wind blowing to expose the nyash of a foul?

INTROSPECTION

Let it be clarified that every era cum epoch in history comes along with its own peculiar set of social changes, which defines cum characterises its culture...It is also preceeded by a change in the level cum content of abstraction (guiding set of ideas) which creates the social change of the era and sustains its culture! We are now living in the early stage of a the new postmodern era...every part of the world are experiencing various degrees cum depth of the postmodern condition cum realities...these realities are making it very difficult for modern structures cum cultures which worked perfectly before to continue to work efficaciously, thus creating an ever-increasing expediency for a holistic structural-cum-cultural-shift in flexible response to the contemporary postmodern demands- which is chiefly to achieve the equality of the individual-persons and the balancing of every societal binary imbalances! These postmodern social changes are anchored cum propelled by a paradigm-shift to a new level cum set of ideas(abstractions) known as postmodernism, which is generally characterised by skepticism for any human claim of perfection cum absoluteness of truth cum absolute comprehension cum narration of such absolute truth....It reasons that the best that the human subjective capacity can achieve is a relative truth, with a more comprehensive narration of truth comming via the integrative almagamation of various individual-cum-unit-narrations of their relative truth in an ambience of polyvocality as against the deceptive grand-narration of supposed absolute truth in an ambience of binary imbalance in the society!


PROBLEMS; CHALLENGES; CAUSALITY!

The quagmire, still-growth, conundrum that Nigeria presently facing is largely due to its insensitivity cum inflexibility towards responding to the radical demands of both postmodernism(inducting postmodern ideas) cum postmodernity(inducting postmodern societal structures cum cultures)...thus Nigeria continued application of modernism cum modernity in a postmodern world cum condition has become our greatest undoing, as it alludes perfectly to putting square pegs in round holes!


THE WAY FORWARD!

To me, the way
forward is for our society and its drivers to start recorgnising,
accomodating cum reflecting the postmodernity of our postmodern realities....IT SHOULD HOLISTICALLY START UPHOLDING THE EQUALITY OF THE
INDIVIDUAL-PERSONS AS AGAIST THE PRESENT BINARY INEQUALITY OF PERSONS; CONSENSUS AS AGAINST
GRAND-POSTURE; POLYVOCALITY AS AGAINST GRAND
-NARATION; ALL-INCLUSIVE PERSPECTIVITY AS
AGAINST PRO-ELITIST PERSPECTIVITY; RELATIVITY AS AGAINST
ABSOLUTISM; PRAGMATIC FLEXIBILITY AS AGAINST UNFITTING PERPERTUAL MODEL-COPYING; INCLUSIVITY AS AGAINST EXCLUSIVITY ETC...THESE SHOULD BE OUR
FOUNDATIONAL CUM GUIDING TENETS CUM PRINCIPLES
IN OUR EXPEDIENT QUEST OF SOCIAL RE-ENGINEERING TOWARDS POSTMODERNISM CUM POSTMODERNITY....WE MUST STOP DEPENDING ON OUR MODERN GRAND STRUCTURES CUM CULTURE WHOSE INSENSITIVITY TO AND INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OUR SALIENT POSTMODERN REALITIES, EXIGENCIES CUM DEMANDS

HOW REAL IS MODERN REALITY?...A POSTMODERN CRITIQUE (PART 1)

THE POSTMODERN QUESTION: IS THE WORLD TRUELY PROGRESSING?

One of the highly contestual dichotomy between modernists and postmodernists is the salient argument of if the world is truely progressing as posited by modernists, or if it is actually retrogressing as critically opined by the postmodernists.

Before examining the merits of these two opposing analects, lets establish insightfully what constitutes 'to progress' and 'to retrogress'....To progress in this ideosophic context would mean to move from a relatively inferior previous towards or through a path of relatively superior present cum future; while to retrogress would on the contrary mean to move from a present superior position or path to an inferior previous or backward position or path....Progress would simply mean to move forward while retrogression would mean to move backward! This is to say that for the modernist, our world as occasioned by modern enlightenments cum scientific positivism is moving farther away from the supposed inferior pre-modern realities cum conceptions to a better cum superior ambience of modernity (progression)...but to the postmodernists, these chain of social changes or movements occassioned by the enlightenement age was actually a continuum of retrogression embellished cum transposed cum decorated with the witty metaphoric peotic rhetorics of an illusive cum ironic 'modernist-progress'!

In a bid to try to avoid undue biasness towards any of the dichotomous ideoshades (postmodernism vs modernism), let us try to examine the realities/conceptions that constituted(s) the pre-modern condition and the modern condition, to be able to ascertain their levels of inter-departure cum simillarity, and thus evaluate whether there has actually been a progress or retrogression. And to do this with more objectivity, we all should individually ponder cum anwer the following demystifying questions/statements:

1. The pre-modern world was characterised by polytheism (belief in and worship of many deities) which the early stage of modernity challenged and thus urshered in the globalisation of grand-religions like christianity and islam...with the later stage of modernity experiencing wide-spread apostacy(a condition where humans do not know what one religion or doctrine to even believe in any more)- leading to present rebirth of what I call 'modern polytheism', which is an integrative approach to religion, with beliefs/doctrines cutting across or drawn from various existing grand-religious ideoshades. This is to say that the world moved from polytheism to monotheism and now to modern polytheism...is this progress or retrogression?

2. The early ancient cum pre-modern world was characterised by hyperpromiscuity cum absolute-nudity to gross-nudity or exposure of the human body, which the early modern world challenged vehemently and thus introduced a more conserved cum virtuous clothing sense, which was also dethroned by same enlightenement cum modern forces only to reintroduce the present dress sense of promiscuity-to-absolute-nudity...as we can observe with the prevalence of bikinis, mini skirts, sagging, nude party, nude-shopping, nude-films, and now most appalling nude marriages...are we really progressing or retrogressing?

3. Government in the pre-modern world were predominantly authoritarian cum totalitarian, this was challenged by modern pro-enlightenment ideoshades like liberalism, socialism etc...leading to the emergence and glorification of a modern systerm of government called democracy, but the same forces of modernity propelled the tenets of modernity to the extent that almost all democracies in the world, including that of USA and Britain and France, are becomming even more dictatorial, totalitarian and authoritarian as days go by...are we really progressing or retrogressing?

If every leader is subjected to only one tenure,
immunity clause removed and the clause of recall of
underperforming parliamentarians strengthened, we
will have a better governanance than this dystopic
two-term set up!

Again, longer terms breeds pathology of power and according to parkinson's law of expansivity, same work could expand or contract in reaction of the time availed to it...thus second tenure will only lead to expansion or spread of same work that could be done under one tenure...therefore leading to geometric retrogression and time cum resources wastage...so bro, A single term should be more preferable to me, given the above apologia!

In the wake of ongoing constitutional review, one item that has been subjected to intense debate is the issue of whether to adopt a single term for political office holders or to continue with the two-term possible tenure...in order to set the ambience for the best choice, I present this question bellow for answer:

second Tenure....Can you show me one Nigerian
leader whose second tenure was/is better than the
first tenure?

As a political scientist of the postmodern ideoshade, I did warn Edolites in wake of the election leading to Oshio second tenure that voting for Oshio would amount to a vote for the trendious second tenure redundancy, conservativity and abuse for social contract...but peeople were quick to call me names with a barrage of villifying tantrums, in total disregard of my logical analysis cum prediction....Now that the deed is done, we are now dancing to the euphoria of the music we created...I reasoned that if Edo state has been so backward, what they need is a continuum of new consecutive leaders who will be ready to give in their best within a tenure and allow the more hungrier ones continue from where they stopped, with successive leaders having the inherited motivation to do more than the emeritus, instead of the emeritus to be allowed to continue, cause he can only see the second tenure as a reward for his good works in the first tenure, and a time to soft-pedal, relax and plunder the common wealth...this is the average trend in Nigeria, a more reason why we need to scrap the hedonistic cum conservative second tenure option from our constitution!
