Pls confirm the vin. I checked out the vin, It says its a 2007 model, if it is indeed a 2008 model, i would be very much interested,

@t0kunb0, the 2009 highlander is most def' a lovely car, i would have jumped at it without a second thought. but, its way beyond my budget, As for the avalon, i believe the cost of maintenance will be crazily high cos its not so common,

I had the opportunity of driving the CRV and the Camry(xle) today, and boy, I think i'm even more confused,

The Camry felt Right in every way, the acceleration, smoothness of the ride, the dashboard, boy!!!!

The CRV was, well, just there, nothing 2 fantastic, just that its has better clearance from the ground.

The dealers advised me to go with the Camry. According to them, it will last longer and will a better second hand value, if i eventually decide to re-sell. They also said that it would be easier to maintain.

They also said the 2006/2007 highlander was far better than the CRV. They said the only reason they would not recommend it for a young guy is the fuel consumption (being a V6 and all dat). They also said that reselling will be hard because the 2000-2007 model have the same form factor and that already, a new model is out.

This was another strong point for the Camry the 2011 model still has the same form factor with that of the 2007 model.

The form factor 2010 CRV has also been altered (with a new front bumper, front grill and lights).

I'm about to purchase a used (tokunbo) Toyota Camry 2007 SE (V6). I've been going through a lot of posts and comments about problems with the transmission, oil leakage etc, I just want to find out if all 2007 V6 SEs have this problem. If they do, I'll pass. But if not, is there a way to determine if the one i'm considering has these problems the VIN number is 4T1BK46K47U505038.

One more thing, I've gotten the CARFAX VIN report and up until now, there's no record of transmission problems, oil leakage, etc. is this an indication that the car is one of the good ones??

The car was manufactured 04/17/2006.

Please I need your advice so I can make a well informed decision.

The problem I have with pre-ordering of purchasing from Cotonou is that i'm just recovering from being seriously burned by that kind of experience. I paid for a car I had not seen or inspected by my mechanic. On arrival, it turned out that i was deceived. I was given a "LEMON", the car tormented me, drained my pocket and I eventually had to sell it off at a ridiculously cheap price, believe me, it was not a lovely experience and i most deff will not want to re-live it,

For now, I'll go with "What I See", as soon as i do and have it inspected, payments will be made (probably on the same day).
