Running a business is one thing… managing the money is another. Many small business owners in Nigeria make sales every day but still struggle financially. Why? Because without proper money management, profit disappears before you even notice it. If you want your business to grow and actually make sense financially, there are some habits you need to build on. Separate Business Money from Personal Money One of the biggest mistakes small business owners make is mixing funds. Open a separate account for your business Stop using business money for personal spending randomly Pay yourself like an employee (salary or allowance) If you mix everything, you won’t know if your business is profitable or not. Know Your Numbers (Stop Guessing) You don’t need to be a finance expert, but you must track your money. How much comes in daily/weekly How much goes out (expenses) What is left as profit Even a simple notebook or phone note is enough to start. Pay Yourself Wisely Yes, it’s your business but don’t treat all the money as your own. Decide how much you’ll take regularly Avoid “I’ll just take small” every day Be disciplined with withdrawals Your business needs money to survive too. Reinvest Into Your Business If you keep taking without putting back, your business will remain stagnant. Upgrade your tools or equipment Improve packaging and branding Invest in marketing or ads Reinvestment is what turns a small hustle into a real business. Plan for Slow Periods Business is not always consistent. Save part of your profit Build an emergency fund Prepare for low sales periods This prevents panic when things slow down. Track Every Expense Those small expenses you ignore? They add up fast. Transport Data subscriptions Packaging materials Miscellaneous spending If you don’t track it, it will quietly reduce your profit. Avoid Unnecessary Debt Not all loans are bad but be strategic. Don’t borrow just to maintain lifestyle Only take loans that will grow your business Always have a repayment plan Debt without strategy can crash your business. Price Your Products Properly Many business owners are busy but not profitable. Calculate your cost price properly Add a reasonable profit margin Don’t underprice out of fear Making profit is not wickedness, it’s sustainability. Managing money is what keeps your business alive. You can be making sales every day and still struggle if you’re not intentional with your finances. Yesterday we talked about the shoes every Nigerian woman should own… today, let’s talk about the men! Men’s fashion in Nigeria is evolving, but when it comes to shoes, many guys are either doing too much… or not enough. The goal isn’t to own plenty shoes. It’s to own the right ones that actually fit your lifestyle. Everyday Essentials (What you’ll wear the most) 1. White Sneakers Clean, versatile, and always correct. If you don’t have this, start here. 2. Slides For quick outings, errands, and relaxed days. 3. Leather Sandals Perfect for the weather. Simple, breathable, and stylish when done right. 4. Running Sneakers For comfort, movement, and busy days. Smart & Put-Together 5. Loafers Effortless and sharp. Works for office, church, and casual events. 6. Derby / Oxford Shoes Every man needs at least one proper formal shoe. 7. Driving Shoes / Moccasins Relaxed but still polished. Great for smart casual looks. 8. Chelsea Boots Not everyday in Nigeria, but perfect for travel, harmattan, or styled evenings. Style & Statement 9. Monk Strap Shoes For when you want to stand out without being loud. 10. Suede Loafers Adds texture and a more elevated finish to your outfit. 11. Statement Sneakers For casual fits that need personality. Must Have’s ! 12. Rain-Friendly / Waterproof Shoes Rainy season will test your wardrobe, better to be prepared than uncomfortable. Join the conversation here ⬇️

Yes nau 😝 that’s why every woman should go through this post, and if she doesn’t have anyone on her shoe rack she should do do ASAP |
Let’s make this practical because in Nigeria, your shoe choices are not just about style. They have to survive heat, rain, movement, long events… and still look good. So this one isn’t just a “fashion list.” It’s a lifestyle-approved rotation. https://community.escortafrik.com/d/161-12-shoes-every-nigerian-woman-should-own

Hello all please I need your opinion on something that is bothering me because I’m really thinking of giving this a chance but before I do hear my story I stay with my friend, we are roommates. She has this boyfriend who is a very good guy. Her boyfriend takes care of her very well.He sends her money, buys her things, checks up on her, comes around often… the kind of guy every girl wants to have as a boyfriend But the way she treats him is something else. She talks to him anyhow, ignores him when she likes, and behaves like everything he does is not enough. Meanwhile, I know she has cheated on him twice. I’m not guessing, I mean I know. And she still acts like she’s the one doing him a favor in that relationship. To be honest, it has been bothering me for a while, especially when I see how serious the guy is. I even thought of telling him at some point, but I didn’t want to put myself in trouble where I’m living. Then something happened recently that I didn’t expect at all My friend travelled home to go and visit her parents then her boyfriend came to the house . I was even surprised. I asked him if he didn’t know she travelled but he said he was aware but he came to see me . I was already uncomfortable, but then he told me he knows everything. He said someone told him and he also confirmed it himself. According to him, he is done with her and doesn’t want anything to do with her again. I thought that was all, but he now said something else. He told me he has been noticing me for a while, the way I carry myself and how different I am from her. Then he asked if I would be open to dating him. I didn’t even know what to say. The truth is, I like him too. I won’t lie. But I never allowed myself to think in that direction because he was with my friend. Now everything has changed suddenly. I feel like it’s somehow wrong to go for my roommate’s ex, but at the same time she didn’t treat him well at all and even cheated. I also keep thinking what if I miss a good person because I’m trying to be loyal to someone who wasn’t even loyal herself. Another thing is, I don’t know if this is just him reacting out of anger or if he really means it. I haven’t given him any answer yet, I told him I will let him know in a week’s time. Please, I need honest advice. Should I give him a chance ? Would I be a terrible person if I do ? https://community.escortafrik.com/d/148-should-i-give-this-a-chance |

I Just Found Out My Husband-to-Be Has a 9-Year-Old Child… Our Wedding Is in June I honestly don’t know what to do right now . My fiancé and I have been together for about three years. We did our introduction early this year , and our wedding is meant to hold this June. Out of nowhere, I just found out he has a 9-year-old child from a previous relationship, and he never mentioned it to me once throughout our relationship. What is breaking me the most is that I had to hear it from another person instead of the man I am about to marry. When I confronted him, he admitted it. He said he was afraid I would leave if he told me earlier and was waiting for the right time to explain. Right time? After three years? When wedding plans are already advanced? Now I feel hurt, angry, embarrassed and confused at the same time. I keep wondering what else someone can hide for this long and still smile with confidence every day. Everybody is already involved. Families know each other, money has been spent, dates have been discussed, and June is close. I have not been myself since I heard it. Am I overreacting if I postpone the wedding? Can trust survive something like this? Or should I take this as a sign and walk away before it is too late? He said if I truly ever loved him I will forgive him but Please, I need honest advice. What would you do if you were in my shoes? https://community.escortafrik.com/d/142-i-just-found-out-about-my-husband-to-be |
Anonymous Post Hi everyone, I need advice on a situation that has really shaken me. My husband and I live in the UK. I’m in the nursing field, working long shifts and picking up extra hours, while he works in IT. We have three children, so life is already demanding. We have both been intentional about saving and planning toward building a stable future for our family. Recently, I discovered that he has been sending a large amount of money back to Nigeria without my knowledge. I initially assumed it was regular family support, but I later found out he has been funding the construction of a large house for his parents , something like a mansion. I’m not upset about him supporting his parents, but I am deeply hurt that something this major was hidden from me. We have been making sacrifices here, raising three kids, and planning our future together, yet he made a huge financial commitment without involving me. For me, this is more about trust, transparency, and partnership than the money itself. I’m really saddened and I don’t even know how to confront him because I fear I might do something really crazy. Has anyone dealt with something similar? How did you handle it? https://community.escortafrik.com/d/140-i-feel-betrayed |
