I know you read it the reason you claim you didn’t is because I exposed you and you have no response but that’s irrelevant. Normally when I see people like you especially someone with such a handle, I block immediately. When I respond to someone like you, my post isn’t for you. I post because Nairaland has a wide audience. My post was for people to stop and think for a second……if these people truly want Biafra why aren’t their elected representatives agitating for the secession, referendum or regional autonomy. Why are they looking for more states and indigineshipmof states in a country they want to leave. Why aren’t they on the cases of their elected representatives for not representing their interests, why do they re-elect them? Because the whole Biagfra agitation is emotional blackmail/ gaslighting tactic. The ibos are the only tribe that would be ruined if they left Neria and they know it.

That seems to be your latest gaslighting weapon. Go and meet your representatives and demand they fight for Biafra if that is what you truly want. You won’t because you have been exposed. The ibos are the biggest beneficiaries of Nigeria, you need Nigeria more than Nigeria needs you. What does a Yoruba ,an lose if the ibos go? What does the North lose if the ibos go? What do the SS lose if the ibos go? You have no seaport, food or resources. that rest of Nigeria depends on.

The only reason the North accommodates you is not because they fear the exit of the ibos but they fear that if hey grant you secession, other minority tribes in the North will demand to to leave. That is the biggest fear of the anorth, they don’t have a leader like Ahmad’s Bello who can keep them together. No northerner wants to be the one who presides over the break up of the North. You know this and you use secession to blackmail and claim more than your fair share.

You overestimate your importance.

Like I said table your requests before the National Assembly. You will be shocked at the support you will get. I have always said,call their bluff and give ibos the right to secede. When it dawns on them, they are the ones that will be lobbying not to be excised from Nigeria.

We didn’t even speak yoruba in my house until I was in secondary school. So how can a household who didn’t groom its children to speak yoruba care about Ibos or tribe?

The major issue with the Ibos was the civil war and the coup. People don’t seem to understand that unless something affects you directly, you can’t really care deeply about it.

The civil war did not occur in yoruba land, life went on as normal. As for the coup, Akintola was seen as a traitor at the time so we didn’t really care that much that he was killed.

We had no emotional investment in either the coup or the civil war to have a lifelong emotional fallback like the Ibos.

The coup and the civil war was something we learnt in school as part of history and that was the end of it. It is only as an adult that I am now on my own reading past history of Nigeria and seeing that the playbook of the Ibos didnt start today.

And I speak for many of my friends I. Incan also tell you that now when we speak amongst ourselves, what we are discovering is that many of the Ibos who grew up with us express certain opinions and we are thinking to ourselves. So this people felt this way all that while?
