Eight to ten weeks is enough to build a focused prototype, but it is not enough to master every part of mobile development. Start with programming fundamentals, Git, HTTP/JSON, and basic UI patterns, then choose one stack and stay with it for the whole learning period. Flutter or React Native can be practical for a first cross-platform project; Kotlin or Swift is better if you want to specialize early. Build two or three very small apps before attempting a larger product. For a realistic practice brief, a banking workflow is useful because it forces you to think about authentication, secure storage, transaction states, accessibility, error recovery, and testing. The Mobile banking Purrweb overview is a useful checklist of the product and technical considerations involved, rather than a step-by-step tutorial. For the final project, keep it safe and simple: use mock data to create login, balance, transaction history, and transfer-confirmation screens. Add loading, offline, and error states, write a few tests, and document the decisions in GitHub. Never use real banking credentials or financial data in a learning prototype. |
