I'm in Zamfara state right now. In fact, I school in Zamfara state (final year Architecture), so trust me when I say the north isn't all you have always imagined.

Ps: I'm not a northerner, plus I don't live in Zamfara. But, if I have been schooling here for 5 years now and I ain't dead yet, then you will be safe.
