Thank you for your response. There is proof my step dad sends money for school fees feeding and rent, I'm 17 years, applied when I was 16.
*My step dad hasn't adopted me, he thought we would do that when I come to the uk
*my mom didn't do a DNA test but we are planning to do it before the appeal date is set.
*we included whatsapp and Facebook conversations, pictures of us when she was in Nigeria etc
*a family friend has sworn an affidavit on my behalf that I don't know the whereabouts of my dad
* the place I was staying, I was maltreated badly, so I left to stay with a family friend [the same person who swore the affidavit].
*a police report has also been made because the place I was staying before, my uncle was making sexual passes at me.
*we have included Facebook and whatsapp conversations between me and my step-dad but we don't talk much.
*I have no idea how to contact my real dad because he left me, I don't have his number or anything, i don't know how we can prove that.
Things are so complicated right now I'm really tired

Hey Ada, hang in there, its just for a while, it will all end in praise.. keep coming here to make enquiries and all and in no time youll be sorted out.
God Bless

Hi babyann, congrats on your successful application . On your second try, what communication evidence did you include please?etisalat is being useless with providing Nigerian call logs and the Tesco calling card we use isn't being helpful either .i use a 16 gig iPhone so I haven't got a lot of whatsapp chat backed up .

Sorry I'm ranting. Just stressed.Waiting on your reply .

on the flip side what I have been doing is exporting my chat to my email and saving it there.

that may help

Guys this process is money generator for the UK. It's the £125. Isn't it Visa you're applying for? They realised a lot of people use Naric for Visa so they increased the price. You can try the £55 one though and hope they accept it. I myself read and saw that the red is for visa and used that

, yes just saw that its now 125 on their website, but NARIC is still better than reading and writing for IELTS, please how long did it take to get a response back from them when you did

Between, i am applying to join my spouse (british)

If your kids are British, the £2,400 requirement per child is not required.

Another silent observer breaking cover........... All this silent observers, Diaris is God o. You shall all be locked up in the 'Other Room'

so does this mean a british child residing in Nigeria with the mum does not need to meet the extra 2400?

Just get a letter to back the Msc up.
NB: Start saving and printing all logs. Start sending emails to each other (discussing sweet nothings), like emails are going out of fashion.........

thanks plenty, getting to work, lol @sweetnothings

You can say that again. For this kind of case, a lawyer is definitely required. The home office would surely overturn decision and the courts would put the repatriation bills on the home office accounts........ ..
,

quick question @ gurus in the house, I am yet to start my application but want to know if I can start saving whats app chats and all other forms of communications so as to start getting my acts together, or do I wait until when I am ready to start ticking the box? and do I need an IELTS exams, need to know so I can start processing that as well

If it's a priority application (about a month) & if normal application (between 3/8 months).. .. . .. ..

Does this timeline still work for spousal, as I'd like to make the priority application( also wont I be seen as been too much in a hurry?) although I no get 3-8 months to wait.

What the newspaper point is/was, a legal challenge was brought against the amount a sponsor was meant to earn, before a spousal visa application process. It was challenged as unfair and very steep and also against the human right convention.

The Supreme threw the challenge out and the law remain the same (now the legal cost against the challengers would be huge).........

What it means is £22,400 must be earned by the sponsor yearly, before a spousal visa application can be tendered (applicant + one child).

thank you so much for the clarification,
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by EvaMD: 12:41pm On Feb 22, 2017

Too late, the Supreme upheld the legislation. £18,600 is still required....... (without kids).....

https://www.theguardian.com/law/2017/feb/22/supreme-court-backs-minimum-income-rule-for-non-european-spouses

Please what can you explain what this really means as I also find it confusing, just to get some clarity.is my spouse supposed to earn a total of at least 18600 (22,400)yearly as we have a child or is this a minimum wage requirement, does this mean he can have this amount at the point of applying or show proof of employment that pays up to this without having this money in his account. help out my people

hello House, Congratulations to everyone who have been successful in their quest.

long post alert.

My Husband and I are applying for a spousal visa next month or in April and I want to get things right. He is a British citizen by naturalization and got this BP in 2015, before then I had applied for a visiting visa in 2013 and passport was impounded based on them seeing a fake Kenyan visa on that passport ( I used an agent who got me a fake Kenyan visa and I didn't know), see attachment. I got a new passport and applied for Schengen (france), and Canada visa last year and have been refused, I also applied for American visa in 2015 and was refused so basically have travel history of Ghana and Dubai ( travelled last in 2013)

fast forward 2017, I am married and we have a child ( we are currently in d process of getting a British passport for her) and he wants us to do the application for a spouse for me to join him before the end of this year. my husband works in the UK but comes to Nigeria frequently and wants us to do the application from here.

he will be coming this Easter and is thinking of applying from here.

please what's the best strategy to take in making sure we cover all angles because I don taya for this long distance marriage ( this thing is not easy ooooo.. emotionally and all other ally you can think of.

I have been following this thread and all other NL threads and need help.

You are most likely serving 10 years ban because that fake Kenyan visa and your chances of getting spouse visa at first attempt is remote.

The only chance you have now in my opinion is to apply and apologies for what happened before then the ECO will make the decision.

First refusal is not the end of the world as you still have the opportunity to appeal. Appealing of this sort is more of asking for reconsideration and showing remorseful than trying to claim right to family life as a spouse of British citizen.

Thanks a lot justwise, and all others who gave opinions,

I just wanted to know the right angle to approach this and will start implementation.
ur appreciated

Its more important to try and meet the current visa application requirements than to rely on previous immigration history as a child though it will play some part.

Justwise now that you are responding on this thread, biko answer my own questions ohh,, I don de find you like tomatoes everywhere,

lemme recap: I submitted a UK application in 2013 and had only been to Dubai and Ghana previous to that , I had also applied to the france embassy but was denied( the agent who helped me then used a fake Kenya visa on the passport and assured me it was genuine) I didn't know you had to receive the stamp at POE,

fastforward 2016 am now married and DH is a UK citizen and wants to apply for spousal rights.

what do you advise and your opinion.

thanks alot

You will need to use the additional information box or write a personal letter explaining your situation. Let them know how remorosely you were about what happened. let them know your situation.. and do not lie about it ... Dont be too wordy about it ... but take responsibility about it and express how you intend not to make this silly mistakes anymore. They tend to understand when one come clean...

Make sure everything you will be submitting now is on point.... because they will scrutinize all your documents...so do everything perfectly and leave everything else to GOD... you are just unlucky with them noticing the fake Kenya visa...

Good luck.
You have a chance .. i have seen ppl whom had worse case than you and still got there settlement visa so be positive.

Thank you so much for this, ill state all the issues as adviced when I am filling the form and fingers crossed no more issues

Please clarify this for me... Does it mean that Nigerians don't get Kenya visa sticker on there passport when they visit Kenya?

they do but the visa is usually given upon entry I think.

I suggest that you contact the Embassy with all your details and PP number if possible
Ask them if a ban has been issued.

Best to know this first.
Then you can apply for spousal visa stating all the facts.

I no longer use that passport but have all the details so I'll ask my lawyer if we can send them an email with all corresponding letters attached.,

Thanks a lot appreciated
