I foresee Al-Mustapha resigning next year to contest for an elective post (possibly as a Senator) under the platform of PDP! While at it, I think Al-Mustapha outspokeness and bluntness will be used by Jonathan to suppress the top retired Generals (Obj, IBB and co) why? He (Al-Mustapha) knew and still knows them too well! atlwireles: Doesn't work that way. Under the OBJ criteria used to retire a lot political exposed officer after he came onboard 1999. Mustapha would have been retired. His course entry mates are either colonels or Brig general as long as they were able to meet army standards and promotion criteria. Mustapha has not met most of those standards, promotion is not automatic in the army..He also due for retirement 2017. The good news here for mustapha is his pension and back pay. What a windfall.

Atleast he will be promotted to conel and then retire and all his salary will be paid and later be appointed as defence minister then who gain.
