Lets actually criticize the two cars. Lets take a close look at the 99 camry. It looks like a bug which was corrected in 2000. The pencil rear lights are terrible to look at. It makes the car look too cheap. The wheels are usually 14'' and too low for Lagos roads and constantly bumping. The exhaust is too terrible. Pokes out like an error. Do you admire how Mercedes, Audi, BMW neatly arrange the exhaust of their cars. You only see the tailpipe. For the camry, you always see a huge drum and a long pipe that dips down causing frequent exhaust break and leakage. The front pointers are of inferior materials. They easily crack. I bet you'll never see a camry without a broken or cracked pointer. This bug was corrected only as 2002 Model (the one better called big-4-nothing) The baby boy is by far a better car both in quality and durability. The pointer is integrated in the car's headlamps with the same quality of material. You will never see a baby boy with broken headlamps. Camrys are now copying this. The remote control of Baby boy opens the boot for your convenience. The camry could only do that as from 2007. The baby boy is by far a better car. More executive and more appealing. |
Honda doesnt build cars that way. I expected you to take remedial action by replacing the lamps and making the car consistent with its model year. The link to Honda faq is leads to dead end. I think our customers on NL deserve better deals. Wish you the best all the same. |
Which year is this car? 2000 or 2001? The year on the VIN is the intended model year of the car. Please be exact about the year or better make available the chassis number (VIN) so that some of us can figure out the year. |
Send the pics to me. I'll help you downsize 'em and either send them back to you or help you upload. Choice is yours. everestto@yahoo.com. |
2002 car with 1998 boot and rear lamps. Why? |
Deal sealed. Car sold. Thanks guys who made comments that had kept my advert within early pages. |
Still available. Enough phone calls and bargaining but no deals yet. I think NL guys need to see this car that they are pricing. As requested, find interior pictures.

Now dropped to 850K. Serious interests only. Taking it is now easier. |
Why did you obscure the number plates? |
The 2000 and 2004 Sentra are the same car. The difference is just model year and age. But in pricing used cars, the condition of the car is the most important thing to consider. There are cars you would not want to price no matter the age because of the usage condition. This car was used by my wife during her service year as a classroom teacher. Since after the service, the car only goes to neighbourhood market once in a while. If not that the car has been registered, it can compete with any tokunbo of that build. I saw a 2001 Sentra in Berger selling for 1.4m and that's above your quote for an 04. So price is indexed more on condition than age. |
For negotiation, please call my numbers or send me an email. 750K is way too low and I guess you should wait to see the car. Mileage is 130K+ and more pictures will be published from tomorrow. Location is VI and Surulere both in Lagos. Inspection in VI is by request weekdays office hours while Surulere is anytime. |
I hate stereotyping! People have come to associate Toyota with fuel economy and Kia with unreliability. Lets get it straight: Toyota does not mean fuel economy and Kia does not mean unreliability. The Kia Rio is more fuel efficient than the Toyota Camry. Fuel economy is indexed on several engineering, environmental and human factors but take this from me: smaller cars are more efficient than bigger cars, lighter cars are more efficient than heavier cars and narrower cars are more efficient than wider cars. My grouse with Kia cars is maintenance. Kia in Nigeria is a monopoly. You would always run back to the same shop no matter your experience. Kia technicians and mechanics do not repair faulty components - they replace them. Instead of cleaning out some dirt or blowing off some stuff, they simply ask you to pay for replacement with a new part. Different people have different things to say in this topic, but I would settle for the best Tokunbo I can afford and feel free to take it wherever i wish for repairs. A clean tokunbo can give you two years with minimal issues and you can sell off without losing much and upgrade to another Tokunbo. I advise you to go for common brands like Toyota, Honda, Nissan etc. and leave KIA for KAI. ![]() |

Helmets have always been part of cycling. Before the advent of OKADA riding, motorcyclists had always worn crash helmets. I can recall the quality of helmets worn in the 80's. What these mumu okada people riders are providing for their passengers are either construction helmets or mere melon shells. I dont blame any passenger who chooses to hold the helmet in the hand because we all know those stuff wont offer any protection in times of crash. |
