Dagrin: Promising rapper, Olaitan Olanipekun better known as Dagrin left his family, fans and colleagues devastated when he gave up the ghost on April 22, 2010, 8 days after he was involved in a ghastly car accident in front of Alakara Police Station, off Agege motor road, Mushin, Lagos.

Dagrin left behind a blossoming career and heartbroken parents. A biopic titled Ghetto Dreamz has since been produced to celebrate the Ogun state born rapper.

Dagrin was barely 23 at the time of his death.

I work with an Architectural/construction firm and my boss is a woman who wields influence and power in the state as she’s a permanent secretary in the ministry of lands and housing and a top member of the ruling political party
Recently her daughter came back from south Africa were she schools and we became close. most times she comes to the site I supervise cuz she also studies Architecture and her mum (who’s my boss) wants her to gain practical knowledge in the field.

She’s been making advances but I keep turning them down because I don’t want any problem with her mum or my job, last week Tuesday I got a call from a guy whom I later discovered was her boyfriend and the guy kept threatening brimstone and fire unless I stay off his girl..

On Thursday of that same last week, I was in a neighboring state supervising a project when she arrived the site very late, infact I closed the site and was making payments when she came. I was surprised so i asked her why she came and at that late hour, she said her mum asked her to come and get the site report.I was confused because usually I go back with the site report duly compiled every weekend.

Well, to cut the long story short she didn’t go back that night because it was late and we made out due to pressure I couldn’t bear ( which was the mistake I made in the first place) and even took selfies the following day before she left. I didn’t even give her the reports she came for because I had not even compiled it, so I told her to explain to her mum that I was going to call her myself.

On Wednesday this week I got a call from the office to report back and that my site engineer should take over duties from me for now. When I arrived the office, I discovered from my colleagues that she has been declared missing and that madam suspects its me.



Right now as I type this, she has been missing since Monday and my boss said that her boyfriend told her that she was last seen with me. and how the boyfriend got hold of the pics is what I don’t know.

I have been invited by the police for questioning on monday next week and my phones has been siezed… had to log in with my bothers phone to post this, I have never been to the police station before, what do I even tell them…

I am scared because the police might want to use force on me since I am not from a wealthy background…

I suspect it should be the boyfriend that’s behind all these, but nobody is really saying anything because he’s from a very very rich background..

When Charles Tombe was raping a goat, little did he know that he was having an affair with his bride-to-be until he was caught and made to marry the animal in the Hai Malakal suburb of Juba, South Sudan.

Tombe, was made to consummate the relationship with the goat which was later named Rose (of all names), a lieu a law in his country that any man caught sleeping with a woman asides his wife must marry her to save the honour of her family.

“If a man is caught sleeping with a girl, he is ordered to marry her immediately in order to save her honour and that of her family,” Tom Rhodes, editor of the Juba Post, which first ran the story said.

“The idea was to publicly embarra$$ the man,” Rhodes added.
After the ceremony, the groom left with his goatie bride, hand-in-hoof, as against the usual hand-in-hand couple’s march.


The goat’s owner, identified as Mr Alifi, said he was the one who caught the man with his goat and took him to a council of elders where they ordered Tombe, to pay a dowry of 15,000 Sudanese dinars ($50) to Alifi.

“We have given him the goat, and as far as we know they are still together,” Alifi said.

Narrating the incident to a local newspaper, Alifi said that he heard a loud noise around midnight of the fateful February 13 and immediately rushed outside to find Tombe with his goat.

Unfortunately, the goat died months after their wedding, but that was not before he gave birth to a male kid.

A report by BBC stated that Rose, black and white, is believed to have died after choking on a plastic bag she swallowed as she was eating scraps on the streets of Juba.

Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali, has lamented the inability of the institution to admit more candidates for over ten years as thousands of candidates were desirous to attend the institution because of its stable academic calender.

Professor Ambali, who disclosed this at a press conference in Ilorin, preparatory to the 40th anniversary celebration of the university, said this against the backdrop of dashed hopes of several thousands of parents and guardians eager to secure admissions for their wards to the university for 2015/2016 academic session.

According to him, only 7,800 of the 65,000 candidates who sat for the post-UME will be offered admission.

He expressed the intention of the university to admit more students, provided the National Universities Commission, NUC, gave approval, saying the university now had more infra structure facilities to cope with more students.

“In view of this development, the management of the university had written a letter to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, through the National Universities Commission, NUC, so as to look into the situation for the university.

“The university has more facilities, more academic programmes, more good lecturers, more patronage in terms of candidates, and other needed infrastructures that can accommodate more students,” he said.

While speaking on the reason for conducting UTME for a total number of 65,000 candidates, knowing well that the university will only take 7,800, the vice chancellor said the reason was borne out of the quest to have the best student admitted out of the lot,stressing that if he had his way, he would have conducted examinations for much more candidates.

Ambali further said that the institution had been able to set sustainable standard that had now been envy of all universities in the country.

The UNILORIN’s helmsman, however, described academic stability as the selling point of the university which has portrayed the institution as the University of first choice to all applicants across the country.



He said the university was lucky to have academic staff with constructive unionism, adding that the management had also complemented that factor with openness and transparency.

“Usually, the issue between the academic staff and the management bothers on salary, allowance, unconducive environment, lack of infrastructure like water, light and other amenities, gagging of lecturers and others.

“As the chairman of all the chairmen in the university, everyone’s welfare is my priority. When there’s money, we share and it there’s none, we share the moment together,” he said.

Ambali, on the issue of corruption, opposed death penalty for Nigerians found guilty of corrupt practices and opted for lenient punishments of collection of stolen funds and jail term for corrupt leaders in the country.

The VC said: “If corrupt leaders are killed without recovering their loots, we are only trying to transfer the stolen monies to another set of people.

“But if the stolen monies are collected and thereby imprisoned the perpetrators, it will serve as deterrent to others and even serve as lessons to the victim.

“Also, if the perpetrators are killed and the loots are recovered, it becomes double jeopardy. I will want the federal government to look towards this direction in the interest of the country and humanity. Infact, we need to study the nations that practised such idea in the past and look at what has come of them.”

While speaking on the choice of President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial appointment, Professor Ambali advocated for the nomination and appointment of person with the interest of the education sector at heart as the Minister of Education.

He said: “We have had some Education Ministers in the past coming from the academia but ended up disappointing the sector. I will want the President to appoint someone that will assist in the growth and development of the sector, irrespective of his/her background.”

Up the tempo – you can now try to keep the muscles contracted for 10 seconds at a time and relaxing for 10 seconds

Ensure that you only tighten the pelvic floor muscles, not muscles in your abdomen, thighs or buttocks

Don’t hold your breath – always try to breathe freely as you do it

Be consistent – do about three sets of 20 Kegels every day, everyday

IMPORTANT: Once you have located your pelvic floor muscles the first time, avoid pausing your urine mid-flow as a habit.

The effect of doing Kegel exercises while emptying is that bladder will weaken the muscles, cause incomplete emptying of the bladder and increase your risk of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI).
