We wish to inform all the candidates that are set for the 2017 UTME that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB ) has announced that all registration centres must not charge more that N700 as registration fee.

The N700.00 registration fee will cater for candidates online registration and two printed copies of their e-Slip.

Any centre that charges more than Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) should be reported to JAMB for appropriate sanctions.

The Joint admission and matriculation board,
JAMB has emphasized that there will be a mock examination before the 2017 UTME.

According to the information given, the date of the Mock examination will soon be announced.

The purpose of the mock examination is to allow candidates FEEL what the main examination will look like.

However, the board stated that the mock examination is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.

That is to say, it is not really a pre-requiste for writing the actual UTME so you can choose to take the mock examination or choose not to.

The board equally disclosed that it will announce the list of accredited centres very soon.

Emergency workers have evacuated body of a Professor and others to mortuary after Twin Bomb-Blast from suicide bombers in the University of Maiduguri, Borno State.The incident occured in a mosque near Gate 1, not the main Central Mosque, while the other explosion occured around Gate 5 of the same university.

The incident occurred during early morning Islamic Prayers, Subhi around 5am .Rescue and security officials have cordoned the areas while triage and casualty evacuation have been concluded.

Official from National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and that of Borno State (BOSEMA) confirmed the evacuation of bodies of the Professor, a child and two bombers.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has said it has not started the sale of its 2017 admission application documents, warning prospective candidates against falling victims of con-men.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the JAMB’s Head of Media and Publicity, on Monday said that the board would adequately sensitise the public before the sale begins.

He said, “I want the public to be patient. We are putting finishing touches to the arrangements for a hitch-free outing.

“We do not want a repeat of what had been happening before and during registration this year.

“We need to ensure that prospective candidates do the right thing and get their results without problems.
