They paraded Goodluck Jonathan’s coffin in Lagos while Remi Tinubu was a federal senator representing the state.

Heaven didn’t fall.
No one was arrested, queried, or expelled.

Yet today, those who orchestrated worse under Jonathan cannot stomach even mild criticism.

Other Malicious Attacks on Goodluck Jonathan That He Tolerated Calmly:
1. Fuel Subsidy Protests (Occupy Nigeria, 2012) – Massive protests against his fuel subsidy removal, many led by those now benefiting from the same subsidy removal today.
2. Being Called Clueless – The opposition ran a relentless campaign branding him as weak and incompetent, despite his democratic tolerance.
3. Boko Haram Insurgency Used as a Political Weapon – The same security lapses happening today were once weaponized to delegitimize his government.
4. Chibok Girls Abduction (2014) – The #BringBackOurGirls movement was heavily politicized, yet he didn’t crack down on activists.
5. Harassment by the Media – Channels, AIT, Sahara Reporters, and many others constantly demonized him, yet no media house was shut down.
6. Disrespect from Religious Leaders – Many pastors and imams openly mocked him, yet he never used security agencies to suppress them.
7. Defection of Key PDP Members to APC – Five sitting governors and several lawmakers defected, yet he did not weaponize institutions to fight them.
8. Vandalization of his Billboards and Campaign Materials – His posters were ripped apart nationwide, and APC supporters burned PDP flags.
9. Verbal Attacks from Tinubu and APC Leaders – Bola Tinubu himself repeatedly called him unfit to rule, yet Jonathan did not retaliate.
10. Election Loss and Power Transition – Despite pressure to contest the results, Jonathan called Buhari to concede defeat, ensuring a smooth transition—something unheard of in African politics.

Jonathan endured mockery, sabotage, and betrayal, yet never resorted to oppression. Now, those who built their careers on insulting him cannot handle the slightest criticism.

Infact you have said everything. This administration did worse to GEJ and his wife. Infact Soyinka called a whole president's wife shepopotemus . In all of these , GEJ govt did not react. That was democracy.

Very good, every badly trained kids must be dealt with appropriately. Most of the present day kids that were raised on social media, they lack proper parental guidelines. That was one of them insulting and tearing up a lecturer's cloth because she was making a TikTok video in a lecture hallway. Thankfully, she was expelled.
