Where is the OP of this thread and all the people that have made their contributions to this thread?

Where are all the Bet exchanges Traders in Nigeria and Africa. Let's come together here and uplift each other with our knowledge and experience. Many people will benefit from this.

Shalom!
The thread by these our bet exchange trading brethren are almost one year ago. They have probably forgotten or found other ways...
I hope they come back but if you have a way to go around it, please do let us know here.

This was such a wholesome read. Thanks for this chief. Although I'm now upset that someone else may have also experienced all or part of what I had to put up with. What did we do wrong neh?
Well, an innocent child who didn't choose to be born but is in the world because of the procreative action of the father, couldn't have done any wrong to turn back on them nonexistently by the father.
It is naturally wrong and unthinkable.

He had continued with his new family ever since without looking back and I have had to move on in life as well without him. No too much hard feelings.
God bless us all.

1. So I started with the court affidavit, this cost about N1,500 (Pls make sure to include the reason for the name change on the affidavit cos i had to re-do my affidavit cos some banks rejected the former cos of this, i used "due to family resolution"wink. If possible insist on the digital affidavit, with your passport on it. Fidelity Bank wasn't able to process my name change cos of this.

2. Then I proceeded to the NIMC office with the affidavit, you'd pay about N500 on their website (pls check their website to confirm price), I didn't pay anything extra. When you go there, no act as JJC, these people will bill you. After the process, they gave me a date to come for my new NIN slip. Pls make sure you go to the office with the former NIN slip with your old name, else, they might not attend to you.

3. After I got my NIN slip, I proceeded to publish my name on Vanguard newspaper, this cost about N4k then, the publication came out the next day. If you're a guy, jejely use an agent cos if you use Vanguard directly, them go wan frustrate you.

4. Thereafter, I went to the bank where I registered my BVN, the process was swift sha. I also visited my other banks for the name update. It was sha swift.

I had to type plenty cos the process is for a man trying to change his surname is tricky

Hi Maddict
Before now I thought I was the only one who would like to change their surname to their mother's name as an Honour to her, until I did a search online.

And then there your thread is, almost describing my situation except that my beautiful-soul mum is late.

Honestly, reading about your firm resolve about a discussion that may seem somewhat weird and your replies to questions, seems like you have the microphone-of-my-mind 👌🫡. I'm proud you already did what I was contemplating... something that can maybe make sense to others if they had been in that shoe.

Heavenly blessings to you, your future family and generations ahead brother🙏!
