Take a state for example, which job in a state is more important than that of a governor? I am of the view that more people should devote themselves to politics, instead of just crashing into it. For a politician, it can mean contesting for another election, getting another appointment, etc. That you are unable to get a job immediately, doesn't change the fact that you had a career or job previously. Also people can switch careers and jobs.

That someone is a politician doesn't mean the person can't decide to retire and do something else like every other profession.
