Lamborghini Sword Hot Rod: sinister and charming in equal parts There is nothing impossible in the world of hot rods. It is often a culture associated with Americans, but it has been two French workshops who have created this Lamborghini Sword hot rod. It started began a conversation between Alexandre Danton, founder of Danton Arts Kustoms, and Hervé Castangano, founder of Carrosserie Hervé. Castangano wanted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first model of creating something special. First, they made a sketch, then a three-dimensional design and then they started working on the real car. They started cutting it, modifying and removing body panels to help give it that hot rod look. Like most of these vehicles, they left the engine exposed, giving it a very gangster look. They also used the word “Sword” to help guide their design. The large 19-inch front alloy wheels and the 20-inch rear wheels are wrapped in Michelin tires that don’t even bother to stay inside the wheel arches. The roof has been lowered, the custom windshield and the visible engine contribute to a threatening aesthetic. This hot rod sword maintains its 2 + 2 design, although with a very basic interior, and still uses the same V12 engine that initially came with it. With 3,929 cc, 24 valves and six double-body carburetors, the Lamborghini Espada propeller was virtually identical to the one mounted on the Miura. That translates into 325 hp at 6,500 rpm and 374 Nm at 4,500 rpm. We do not know what figures it reaches in this new interpretation of Italian thoroughbred, but in the original model, it could move a ton and a half to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 245 km / h. The BMW M2 Competition breaks a record, breaking balloons with a laser The BMW M2 Competition is one of the latest developments of the German brand and also one of the funniest models they offer today. That is why it is the perfect vehicle to carry out a series of curious challenges. The first of these “M2 Challenges” has already been unveiled on the YouTube channel of BMW and has consisted in exploiting balloons with a laser that had been previously installed in the vehicle. It may seem like something that has nothing to do with the motor world, even a somewhat useless action. However, it gains prominence when it is said that they have achieved a Guinness Record in that area. Previously the best brand was 63 balloons in 60 seconds, achieved by a human. Now the machine has been equipped with a high intensity laser that comes out of the radiator grille and with which it will have to explode balloons through the circuit. It is a small path with strategically placed balloons. That’s where the behavior of the BMW M2 Competition and its maneuverability is important. Do not forget that it is a rear-wheel drive vehicle and quite powerful. Its twin-cylinder, inline and 3.0-liter twin-cylinder engine now manages to develop a power of 410 HP and 550 Nm of torque, far surpassing its predecessor and remaining close to the M3 / M4. Although it is not a car too light (about 1,600 kg). The result is the record of 79 balloons in 60 seconds, improving in 16 balloons the previous existing brand.
