9jakool: Hey bro, I no go vex for am. I see trash like this all the time on NL. I dey laugh real hard.
You just gained a follower.
Make we rid of all these crap. I respect your kinda person, very matured and patient. I dont have that kinda patience, many of them just conjure rubbish together and start spamming it everywhere as fact. His only contibution to this thread is insult, arrogance and some useless map By their warped logic, since Oranmiyan was sent to Benin to be the king(First King), can we now say Benin is Yorubaland. Oranmiyan was buried in Ile Ife and his staff still there till now. Oba Ewuare confirmed same and said he is the 40th while Oranmiyan brought Obaship to Benin and the first Oba of Benin. The history of Lagos is even on Lagos state website, Awori's are owner of Lagos excluding Ikorodu and Epe Ijebu. Aworis (Olofin) migrated from Ile Ife, some children of Olofin Ogunfunminire, called the Idejos are the owners of Lagos land. All these are indisputable facts.

9jakool: People like him like to twist history. He once claimed that the only Yorubas are Oyo and that oyo was never an empire. He also said most SW was under Benin. Bro, his yeye claims are laughable. I stop reading when he said he knows nothing about Oranmiyan, you asked him to provide the list of the said SW town under Benin and he started throwing insult. You must be a very patient person in real life. |

BininEmpire: Mynd44 please warn or ban this user, let Oba Ewuare be last person you will insult here How is Ewuare different from Buhari and the Yoruba people you guys insult here daily. You guys are hypocrite They should ban the guy but your Benin brother throwing insult should be allowed to insult everyone freely. Wonderful. |

Christistruth00: Please read this document written by Sir Alfred Moloney British Colonial Governor of Lagos written in 1890.Can you in the third paragraph see where he describes the 1069sq miles of the protectorate of Lagos as part of the Yoruba territory? You guys should debate with sane people and not some arrogant villager. I was reading the thread and hoping to see a robust debate but it was insult and name calling when exposed as a fraud and ignorant punk. He was schooled on the Origin of Obaship in Benin then he insulted the guy and later ran away when he was presented with a speech from his own Oba. The 9jakool guy did another one and he started calling the guy stupid, you see why no one take all these ignorant villagers serious. |

history2901: The first pre-colonial map of the area was made more than 600 years ago and it shows lagos as part of Benin empire, and I am talking about the entire Lagos and even more than just Lagos, most of southwest nigeria and even territory outside nigeria were also part of the Benin empire. So get your facts right. Why so much hate for the truth ? Oh God, how old are you? Most SW part of Benin empire You are truly not sane. Lol |

hundredhunndred: You are ignorant but arrogance wont let you admit it. Oba of Benin on his coronation said Oranmiyan was the first Oba and brought that title to Benin, after him was his son, Eweka 1. He was correcting the falsehood being spread by wicked people like you and even said he is the 40th and not 39th Oba of Benin. Read it here and cure your ignorance once instead of insulting people.
Oba Ewuare II, who explained why he should be regarded as the 40th Oba of Benin contrary to the belief that he is the 39th Oba, said: “There may be some divergent views about the origin of some of our ancestors but there is unanimity in the shared heritage between the people of Benin and Ile-Ife in identifying Oduduwa as a forebear of kingship in parts of Africa and Nigeria of today. “Historians all agreed that Oduduwa sent his son Oranmiyan as requested by elders of Benin to return with them as ruler of their realm. Oranmiyan stayed in Benin, but his stay was short. But by the time he left he had a son known today as Eweka I. Oranmiyan’s time in Benin was however short-lived, he was an Oba. So he was the first Oba after the Ogiso dynasty, he established Obaship in Benin. Therefore the listing of past Obas should start from Oranmiyan. This actually made my late father the 39th Oba of Benin while I am the 40th Oba of Benin.”

9jakool: I asked a simple question of a list of Benin's territories in Yorubaland because I thought you were an expert on Benin's history, you instead gave me a Dutch explorer map depicting the location of Benin as if I don't know where Benin is located. The non-detailed map failed to show Yoruba groups that were under Benin, which was my question in the first place. I asked the same question again, you asked for a salary for you to decipher the map. I then asked you if you have any oral accounts from your people that talks about the Benin expansion into Yorubaland, you then proceeded to call me stupid. I never desire "proof." I know what parts of Yoruba land were under Benin's influence, I'm not insecure to admit that for a fact. I only directed the same question to you for confirmation.
If you are not in a physical condition right now, then I respect that and we can continue our conversation some other time. You should not be wasting your time on that arrogant villager. He was boxed to a corner many times on this thread then he resort to insult and name calling. He was schooled on the origin of Obaship in his Benin then he resort to insulting that guy and even claiming he knows nothing about Oranmiyan. You know nothing and still insulting those that are schooling you for free, you really have a lot of time to waste on an arrogant cum ignorant troll. |

history2901: It seems I can't have a rational conversation with you guys. Half of you are crazy, the rest are just st.upid. Have a good weekend and go back to school, you need some sense. No offense. You are arrogant like a typical Bini villager. Those guys schooled you on this thread but you keep insulting them when boxed to a corner, why throw insult when you can just admit you have no working brain to debate. I read this thread from A-Z, you are a disgrace to the whole Bini people. |

Unimaginable123: Why should we be? We developed Lagos from foundation to top. My grandfather contributed immensely to the development of Lagos when fathers of yoruba people claim now lived in huts in osogbo You developed Lagos and your cursed state is in shambles. Why not replicate same development in your dungeon, you are even from Imo state, the cesspit of the East. You deserve to be flogged and jailed for being dumb. |
