Urbanization is a word for becoming more like a city. When populations of people grow, the population of a place may spill over from city to nearby areas....
The poster seems explaining in the number of big towns associated with the capital city of each state to judge urbanization. Even when states like osun, ondo, akwa ibom etctl that some mentioned with very low business strength have more big towns than abuja, rivers, kano that have heavy population & business depth.
And that's why u see in rivers, lagos, abuja and other big cities, dwellers could go as far to go wider to there other towns even if small to leave there.
U won't tell me u want to rate states been urbanized and not start from the capital to the infrastructure provided and as well as there population depth and also the industries that thrives in them.
Lagos, FCT, Rivers, Anambra, Kano, Ogun(cos of nearness to Lagos), delta, Oyo, abia, Kaduna are my best 10.
One make more money in those states than any other and should be used in rating urbanized states...

Even if that where to be the case, Lagos should be the ones benefiting from Rivers and not the other way round. .... . Most of the things shipped through Lagos are owned by other state but due to the wicked nature of the government, they forsake our ports and give glory to Lagos.
Note: Lagos was a capital, Abuja and Cross Rivers.. ... They were made to standard by the whole federation and not indegenes only, That makes Rivers state the most indegenous developed state and that's what matters.

According to Premium times, the protesters led by the popular musician have erected five tents in front of the Assembly’s gate and stationed a van, preventing movement to and from the Assembly complex.

The protesters are demanding that for such crimes as stealing public funds, all guilty people should be sentenced to death. They also called for a slash in the salaries of political office holders by about 70 per cent.

Also the protesters are demanding for a stop of state and local government joint accounts. They also demand the disclosure of details of National Assembly’s multi-billion naira budget.

The protesters were members of a group known as “Occupy Unlimited,” which is a civil society group that advocates good governance and a corruption-free society.

The group who said they would not move till their demands were granted, and they also want the National Assembly to review the constitution towards amending the clause that grants immunity to the president, vice-president, governors, and the deputy-governors.

Other things they wanted includes: Amending the law so the officials can be tried for criminal matters while in office and a unicameral legislature, asking that the Senate be scrapped.

Although Sadiq-Bello did not disclose the name or rank of the officer who was serving at the Obi Division of the command, he said the police patrol team was ambushed along Obi-Agwatashi road about two weeks ago.

He described the incident as unfortunate and part of the hazards policemen encountered in the line of duty and vowed that the Police would arrest the killers and prosecute them.

He condoled the family of the deceased officer and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, at least 90 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers have been arrested in different hide-outs in Ogun state, the police has confirmed adding that a total of 45 arms and ammunition were recovered.

Making the revelation in Abeokuta, the state capital, the commissioner of police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the command was successful even though it had a difficult time making the arrests.

A police officer has been killed by gunmen who ambushed a police patrol in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.


Vanguard reports that the incident was confirmed in Lafia, Nasarawa capital by the state commissioner of police Abubakar Sadiq-Bello on Friday, November 11.

The sprawling Navajo Nation has no shortage of magical places, but the most photogenic might be Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon, located just outside Page, Arizona. They are a testament to the power of water and time, as over the years, flash flooding has created deep, gorgeous passageways—called slot canyons—that you can walk through.

The name comes from an era when antelopes ran wild in the canyons, but the only animals you’ll see these days are other human beings. The 600-foot-long stretch of Upper Antelope Canyon, which is also known as the Corkscrew, is the more popular of the two canyons. The walls can reach 120 feet, and it’s easier to access; exploring the half-mile Lower Antelope—or the Crack—requires walking up and down metal stairways. Visitors to Upper Antelope are also more likely to see beams of sunlight, which are prized by photographers. (Slower snappers will want to know that there’s a two-hour limit in each canyon.)
As you might expect, both canyons have long been considered spiritual places by the Navajo. You may only visit with a guide—there’s a list at www.navajonationparks.org—although that’s as much because flooding remains a possibility, and rain doesn’t have to occur on the site for water to come rushing through the canyons.

While you’re in the area, check out Rainbow Bridge, a stunning 275-foot-tall rock bridge over man-made Lake Powell. It, too, is sacred to the Navajo, so in order to hike to it, you need a permit from Navajo Parks & Recreation.

Black Forest, Germany

The northern section, with its hilly but relatively gentle terrain is home to several charming towns. Freudenstadt makes a good base for exploring the Northern area. Many of the Schwarzwald's most impressive sights are in the triangle delimited by the lively university city of Freiburg, 15km (9.3mi) east of the Rhine in the southwest; Triberg, cuckoo clock capital of Creation, in the north; and the charming river-valley city of St Blasien in the southeast. Even smaller towns in the area generally have tourist offices.

Canola Flower Fields, China


Introduce :
Luoping is a small county in eastern Yunnan, China, located about 228 kilometers north east of Kunming close to the border of Yunnan with Guizhou and Guangxi provinces. In early spring, when the yellow rapeseed flowers (also known as canola) are in full bloom, the area takes on the look of a “golden sea” – a spectacle that has made Luoping something of a Mecca for photographers. The sprawling farmlands get covered in golden, yellow rapeseed flowers stretching as far as the eyes can see, all the way to the horizon. The best time to visit Luoping for this visual fiesta is February through March, by June the show is over.

The town was previously overlooked by tourists passing through the area, who usually headed to the more commercialized tourist attractions in the center and eastern part of the province. Today, Luoping’s canola fields attracts photographers from all over, who flock to this small county every early spring to capture the magnificent “sea of yellow” of blooming rapeseed flowers. The majestic photos in turn, draw more and more tourists to this beautiful rural photographic haven.

The coastal province of Zhejiang is famed for their gorgeous green tea fields. But as Greenpeace's recent investigation reveals suppliers have been spraying their fields with a huge number of different pesticides including, in some cases, pesticides that have been banned by the Chinese government.

Tea drinking is one of China's most cherished customs; and tea a symbol of Chinese culture.

Today, China is the world's biggest tea producer, with 20 tea-producing provinces and eight million tea growers. And the area of tea plantations and annual tea output in the country is on a continuous rise.

However, the latest Greenpeace investigation has discovered that the massive use of chemical pesticides is seriously affecting the safety of tea in the Chinese market.

Hang Son Doong, Vietnam


Son Doong cave(Vietnamese: Hang Son Doong) is world's largest cave, located in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It is found by a local man named Ho Khanh in 1991 and was recently discovered in 2009 by British cavers, led by Howard Limbert. The name "Son Doong" cave means "mountain river cave", It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain Where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights...

Hitachi Seaside Park, Japan


Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki prefecture, Japan, next to the Ajigaura Beach, is a flower park and a popular tourist destination. The park covers an area of 3.5 hectares and the flowers are amazing all year round. Each season you will find a different variety of flower blossoming over the "Miharashi No Oka", a hill commanding a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. The park is particularly famous for blue nemophilas. Nemophilas are annual flowers with transparent blue petals. During spring, more than 4.5 million blue nemophilas bloom all over the park. The blooming period is called “Nemophilia Harmony” and attracts many visitors.

Aside from nemophilas, the park has about a million daffodils blooming amidst the pine trees, about 170 varieties of tulips and many other flowers. Filled with woods, gardens, a mini amusement area and cycling courses sprinkled throughout the park, Hitachi Seaside Park is a must-see for anyone venturing to Japan.

Lake Hillier, Australia


Lake Hillier is a pink-colored lake on Middle Island, the largest of the islands and islets that make up the Recherche Archipelago, Western Australia. From above the lake appears a solid bubble gum pink. It is such a significant distinguishing feature of the archipelago that air passengers often crane their necks to take a glimpse of it.

The lake is about 600 meters long, and is surrounded by a rim of sand and a dense woodland of paperbark and eucalyptus trees. A narrow strip of sand dunes covered by vegetation separates it to the north from the Southern Ocean.
